1 Comerica Card Management System Registering a Temporary Card You can register a temporary card, pre-fund and activate an account with the Card Management System. Begin by selecting Account View/Update from the Account Maintenance tab. Search for the temporary card account to register.

2 The system defaults to Search for an Account Name. However, you can click the radio button to Search for an Account Number if you prefer. In our example, we will search for an account number and enter an account number in the Account Number field. You can also leave this field blank to see a list of all accounts. If there is only one match on the account number you have entered, the system takes you directly to Account View/Update page for that account. If there are multiple matches, you will see a list of those accounts from which to select the desired account. Click the Search button. In our example, we were taken directly to the matched account. If you need to modify your search or select a different account, click the appropriate link at the top of the Account View/Update page. Within the Account View/Update page, there is a tab for each of the various types of information you can update: Account Permissions, Demographics, Limits, and Billing.

3 You can also navigate these tabs by selecting from the links at the bottom of the screen. Above the tabs, the Account Status is displayed. The status should show Blocked Activation Required. If it shows that the account is active, contact your assigned program advisor. You can chose to activate the temporary card account through the Card Management System, or have the cardholder activate the card by calling Comerica s IVR. The toll free IVR telephone system provides the cardholder a 24-hour access to their card account balance and last 5 transactions. To activate the account, click Select this button to ACTIVATE this account radio button in the Account Permissions tab.

4 Now select the Demographics tab and enter cardholder s social security number in the SSN field. The last four digits of the SSN field are used as the code for the cardholder to access the Interactive Voice Response Unit or IVR. You may enter 9s for the first 5 digits and the last 4 digits of the cardholder s social security number. The last 4 digits may also be any 4-digit number. In the Statement Address section, enter the cardholder s name in the Address Line 1 field. You should note that temporary cards must be registered in the cardholder s name. Now enter the cardholder s home address in Address Line 2, followed by the City, State and Zip code. Comerica will use this address when sending any remaining balance when the account is closed.

5 If you want to add value to the card, select the Limits tab and enter an amount you want to be made available on the card in the Prefund Adjustment Amount field. Be sure to include the decimal but do not include the dollar sign. You can also enter a short description in the Prefund Adjustment Description field, up to 30 characters.

6 In the Billing tab, you can update the employee s Cost Center and Employee ID. These are optional fields that map to reports that are made available to you based on your program election. Click Save to finish registering the account. If the account has been activated, as in our example, the Confirm Card Activation dialog box is shown. Click Yes to confirm. The confirmation page shows that the account has been successfully updated.
