2014 Friends of Scouting Prospect Management Software It has been said, the greatest gift a man can give a boy, is his willingness to share a part of his life - with him. -President Thomas S. Monson
SPECIAL NOTE: DURING THE ROLLOUT OF THE NEW FRIENDS OF SCOUTING SOFTWARE IN 2013, SOME HISTORICAL PAYMENT INFORMATION MAY DIFFER FROM YOUR RECORDS WHILE UPDATED INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE. FOS Campaign Management System System Objective This system will be an invaluable tool to LDS Stakes and Wards, as well as the Council, to manage and track each FOS campaign. This tool was developed to serve those who have been called to collect financial support. Key objectives: Single point of tracking donations and prospects, eliminating confusion between the Ward, Stake and council Eliminate paperwork between LDS Stakes/Wards and the council Allow the Stake and Ward to define prospects ensuring they are correct and complete Reduce processing time at the council offices, which will reduce the overhead of the fund-raising campaign Provide a safe, secure method for individuals to donate to the Boy Scouts of America Stake Benefits Ward Benefits View live campaign progress by Wards or Units View average donation size All information is available online 24/7 Wards can define and manage its own prospect list Accept mobile donations payments Create custom routes streamlined reporting 2014 FOS Software by Patchfunding.com
Stake Leadership Getting Started Welcome to PatchFunding Software. Before you begin, you should have already received a username and password from your District FOS support team. To begin, go to and click My Account. Log-in by selecting My Account FAQ: What is an Existing User? You might have noticed a section on the log-in page called Existing Users. This area is not a direct login, but a donation collection tool designed to help volunteers process pledge and donations from existing prospects who have given in the past. FAQ: What is a New User? You might have also noticed a section on the log-in page called New User. This area is not a login but a donation tool designed to help volunteers process new users or anonymous donations in the field.
Welcome This is your Dashboard Area Before using the Patch Funding FOS software you must first complete three simple steps: 1) Change your password, 2) Create a shared allocation target for each ward, 3) Create a log-in account for your respective ward leaders. Step One: Select Change Password For security, we do not manage or save passwords. If you forget your password, simply use the forgot password on the initial My Account login page. If you are unable to log-in, please contact your FOS support team and they can create a new login account. Click here to Change Password FAQ: Why don t you save passwords? By utilizing modern encryption technology and secure web connection, important data and payment information is protected from outside groups looking for ways to gain access.
Shared Allocation Targets For Each Ward/Unit An exciting new way to help a Stake and Ward visually manage a FOS campaign, is by utilizing the Fundraising Target area. FYI: This is your Stake Fundraising Goal. Note: Your DE or FOS support team member will set the target amount assigned for your Stake. If this information is blank, you may still set your targets for each ward. Step Two, click on a Ward/Unit link FAQ: What is a Unit Link? From the Stake Dashboard, there are two ways to gain access to the Ward Dashboard. Either select the Unit link from the right hand section on this page or use the top menu and select Donors All Units and a list of wards will appear.
Next... After clicking the Unit page the Ward Dashboard will open. Notice the Fundraising Target. If you click on the text, it will open up a new box for you to enter the target amount. Click The Target Link Enter the desired amount and click save
Please Repeat Step Two with a new Unit The set-up process will really only take a few minutes. Shared Allocation Targets are a very useful tool for assisting both the Stake and Ward leadership. Ward Dashboard Helpful tip: Please scroll to the bottom of the page from the Ward Dashboard, you will see an area called Stats which is the Ward s historical giving. This information may be useful in helping Stake leaders create a balanced and progressive Fundraising Target. Previous History FAQ: How do I calculate Shared Allocation Targets? The easiest way to calculate your fundraising target is to take the entire Stake Goal and divide by the number of Wards in your area. For example; Stake Target / 6 Wards = X. If a particular Ward is struggling, Stake leaders have the ability to balance out target amounts between Wards.
Step Three: Create Login accounts for each Unit Ward Log-in Access Grant access to Ward Leaders Setting up the login access for a Ward is a very simple process. The only information that you will need to collect is the Users address. The platform will automatically create an for the Ward member to activate. Click here to Add a new login Click link to edit login It s very common to see accounts created for Bishops, 1st and 2nd councilors, Ward FOS, Ward Clerk, Etc. Patch Funding software does not have an account limit.
Congratulations! Your Stake is now set-up and ready to manage Feel free to look around. We hope these tools will enrich your life and help those who have been called to collect financial support for Friends of Scouting. Thank you! Click any year to view more campaign details
