4 1 Preparation 1.1 Please make sure you have completed the adhoc account setup in Integris G2 as outlined in the Fronter Web Service user Setup.pdf accompanied with this pdf. Once this has been received by RM and a confirmed activation by Fronter you can proceed to setup an import within Fronter. 2 Setup an import in Fronter 2.1 To successfully complete your installation of Integris G2 you need to setup a new integration in Fronter. Once created you will obtain a url to the Fronter Web Service that will receive your data. This is only supported in Fronter73 and later. The name of the installation will be Please contact Fronter UK Support if you have not received login details for the site. Login to your Fronter installation using the account details which you have been sent by Fronter. Click on the admin button at the top right hand corner of the screen - In the structure view on the left hand side locate your school name - Click onto your schools name. - Click the Tools Tab on the right hand side 4

5 - Click Fronter integration setup Fronter will then display a screen showing you the imports that have been setup for your school. Currently this will be empty. - Click Define a new import to start the setup wizard. - Click in the drop down menu where is says Choose MIS System and select IntegrisG2 ws as this is the same file format. Integris G2 will appear in the list once the process has been fully automated. 5

6 - In the short description text field type a name for the import The default value is 10% this is usually sufficient but may require some adjustment depending on the size of the updates. Note: Fronter will need to be notified when you run your yearly update as this will be a complete change to the import and this setting will be disabled automatically on the first import as all the data will be new. - Add your address to the notification list so that you are notified if the import fails. - Select the appropriate tools for all class rooms which will be generated via the import. 7 - Click on the file access settings to open the dropdown URL field. SIF agent id: needs to be the LA/Establishment Number (example 308/2073) Server URL: needs to be the whole location url; Note: the (LA name) is the only thing that changes. Username: needs to be the g2 user username Password: needs to be the g2 user password - In the User properties section choose the style sheet (design) you wish all users created via the MIS integration to have. Recommended for Secondary: Classic Recommended for Primary: Play - Choose an client (note this is not an account just a client to access your existing accounts). Please select either Fronter client or browser default) 7

8 - Choose if you wish the users to be forced to change their password on first login. - Leave the option as Yes for Should Fronter automatically generate usernames and passwords for new users? as these will be generated automatically ensuring the username is unique across London. - Choose if you wish the addresses to be updated from the MIS system 8

9 - Choose if you wish phone numbers to be updated from the MIS system - Choose if you wish addresses to be updated from the MIS system - Select the appropriate tools for all the personal tool bars which will be generated via the import. 10 - Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Create to create the import. Note: The import will automatically select a random time during the night. The import will then run each night at this specific time. - The import is activated automatically when you create it. If you wish to deactivate an import temporarily simply tick next to those imports that you wish to disable and click Deactivate. - Once you have deactivated an import it will appear grey. If you wish to reactivate an inactive import simply tick next to those imports you wish to enable and click Activate. 10
