2 PHONE SETTINGS You may need to check that your phone will let you download external applications. 1. Go to Settings 2. Go to Security 3. Check to see if the Unknown Sources is active or inactive 4. Change it to Active Page 2

3 DOWNLOAD THE APP FILE (still on your phone) 1. Go to your Browser 2. Go to 3. Login 4. Make sure you are viewing Desktop site 5. Go to Admin Android 6. Verify your phone has the minimum requirements 7. Download the file Page 3

4 INSTALL THE APP (File Commander) 1. Go to File Commander 2. Go into Downloads 3. Click to open the 3D Safety.apk file download 4. Select whichever program you use to install 5. Once installed: 6. Then Open 7. Login using your username ( address) and password Page 4

5 8. It will ask you to set up a pin. Enter a memorable 4 digit code, twice. This will permit you to login with the pin versus typing in your address. PEOPLE Use the SEARCH field or scan a QR code on a card. The scan result or search result(s) will display. Select the search result or the document you wish to continue with. Page 5

6 PLANT Use the SEARCH field or scan a QR code on the plant item. The scan result or search result(s) will display. CHOOSE YOUR PROJECT To change your project go to SETTINGS Page 6

7 TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS AND TRICKS Q: I get the message: "Error you are not assigned to any projects. Please get your supervisor to add you to a project." The ADMIN person needs to check the user permissions are set up correctly in the 3D Safety system. Company tab: Company User or Company Admin Site tab: Site User or Site Admin Features tab: Read-Only Access or Full Access The USER needs to: 1. Make sure they have an Android 4 or more recent operating system. 2. Logout of the application, log in and try again. 3. If that does not work, restart the phone and try again. 4. If that does not work, reinstall the application and try again. Q: I am unable to view the Qualifications when viewing the Staff Details view. Swipe the screen with a little more force, or try flicking the attachment across. You may not have the relevant permissions. See the 3D Safety administrator in your company. Q: When viewing the attached documents they sometimes appear blurry. This is likely due to the image quality of the attachment that has been uploaded. Q: I am getting an error message when trying to view attachments. The Android application uses third-party application s to view some attachments. So when trying to view a document that it can t open, it asks the phone to use any appropriate application that has been installed to open these files. If you have more than one application that can open a file, it will give you a list of application s that can open the file (unless you have chosen a default to always open that type of file). It is recommended that you install Google Drive suite of application s for opening files, although there are many alternatives that should work perfectly fine (though not all might work). 8 Q: I am unable to change the status of staff attachments. You may not have the relevant permissions. See the 3D Safety administrator in your company. To change a document status, if the document is open in the application, tap on it, a bar will show. If the document is open in an external viewer, after closing the document, tap on the screen that says This document has been opened in an external viewer, and a bar will show. 9 Q: I cannot view attachments in landscape mode. To ensure that the documents can be rotated to landscape, make sure that the Screen Rotation icon is green. To do this, swipe down to get the Settings on the home menu. Page 9
