1 COM.CHAT A Newsletter distributed to Community Groups in Whanganui and surrounding Districts Issue 180 October 2017 Hi Everyone Generosity NZ What a lovely couple of nice sunny warm days we have just had but a reminder today that it is still Spring and not yet summer. By the time you read this, we will have had an election and may or may not have a new government. Whichever way it goes, I hope that you have all exercised your right to vote. It will be interesting to see how the next three years pan out especially for the not for profit sector. Shelley has pointed out to me that we are up to Issue No 180 this month. I think is it fantastic that after all this time you are still reading Com.Chat and supplying information for it. What a great resource this has turned into. Thanks for all the positive comments and contributions over this period. It is timely that I remind you all that the closing date for Com.Chat items is the 18th of the month to have your bit included in the following month s issue ie info in by 18th October will go in the November issue put out at the end of October. We have had lots of late requests over the past few months right up to the 25th. While we try hard to include everything sometimes late information just has to miss out. We will however put it on our Facebook page. We are currently doing our database updates. Forms are being posted out. Please check, amend and return these to us even if there are not changes as we then know the information is still current. Community House welcomes our new tenant organisation, Access Community Health, this month. Laura is based in Room 121. Community House, like you all, is required to give evidence that we are trying to help ourselves by fundraising. On October 27th we are holding a Quiz Night at Stellar, we would love it if you could get some colleagues, friends or family together to make up a team and join us there. See our notice this page. Tickets are available at the Office, you can or phone us, and we will put them aside if you can t get to us. Our contact details are below. NZCT & Lion Foundation always open, allow up to 8 weeks for outcomes & Infinity Foundation now available online.
