Existing Customer Setup In most cases Advanced Encryption setups are done for existing customers. If your customer s subscription does not contain the resources for Advanced Encryption, please contact Cobweb support who can perform a plan change. Once Cobweb support have completed the plan change for your customer, follow the steps below 1. Login to the Control Panel. 2. Click on Billing 3. Navigate to Customers 4. Click on Customer 5. Subscriptions 6. Click on the subscription 1

2 1. Now go to Resources. 2. You will then need to purchase 1 of the Enable Advanced Encryption to enable the service. 3. You will then need to purchase the amount of users as per the order form for the Cobweb Advanced Encryption by manually typing in the required amount. 4. For this example we re going to purchase 5 Advanced Encryption, afterwards click Next. Now that the order has been placed, you will need to click on the Order by going to: 1. The Billing side by clicking in the top right corner 2. Click on Customers on the left hand side 3. Click on Orders 4. Find the Upgrade Order 5. Click on the Order and click Open Order. Once the order has provisioned or changed to Completed or Waiting for Payment please login 2

4 Creating the CSM Portal Before creating any users you will need to have created a portal on Secure Messaging Control Panel. To do this please go to the Secure Messaging Control Panel when logged in as your customer s admin account. Then go to Customer portal, you will now see the same screen as below. Please fill in all the relevant details (a domain will need to be added prior to this). Please note: Choose Jurisdiction site relates to the physical storage location of any data for CSM, please select Default for this unless the customer is in the United States, if this is the case select US Staging site. Default will be on the UK VPS Please click Save. For customers who have disclaimers: If your customer already has a disclaimer please contact Cobweb Support, and we can assist with applying the disclaimer. Creating users for secure messaging To create a user, it will need to be applied to a service user. This user will need to have access to the mailbox in order to view the authentication that is sent out to verify yourself as a user. 4

5 Creating a new user To create a new user, go to the Users tab within the customers control panel. 1. Click add new service user 2. From here fill in all the details (a domain will need to be added to your customer s account to create users). 3. If you would like to assign a license to the user s account please tick the box displayed next to Encryption and Protected Data Exchange. 4. Once all the fields have been completed and the service enabled for the user, please click next. On the next page, please confirm the details and click next again, followed by finish. This will register the user using the details provided. Please note: The password webmail will be the service user s password as it would for Exchange. 5

6 To manage the created users, please go to Secure Messaging Control Panel and under the Cirius Secure Messaging users you will be able to edit users details (the same as editing the service user) and process the following actions for the users: Suspend: will revoke all access, Enable: use this action if you have previously suspended a user. Synchronise: This will push through any recent changes to the user manually if it doesn t update automatically. Remove: will simply delete user and license. 6

7 Assigning existing users for Secure Messaging If there is already a user created and you want to assign an Encryption and Protected Data Exchange (Secure Messaging license) then you will need to log in as your customer in the control panel. Go to Secure Messaging Control Panel tab, please note: your customer s portal needs to be created before adding new users or assigning licenses to existing ones. Once you re on the Secure Messaging control panel, click Add new. After clicking Add new you will have a drop-down with a list of users currently on the customer s account (users with Secure Messaging already assigned to their user will not show up). From the list select the user s name, the user s details will then be displayed, if everything is correct click finish. 7

8 After the tasks have run successfully, under the main Users tab, Encryption and Protected Data Exchange will be assigned to the user you selected from the drop down. 8

9 Assigning multiple existing users for Secure Messaging The previous steps were to show how to apply a Secure Messaging license to a single existing user. It s possible to apply the license to multiple users in one go via the Cobweb Control Panel. This can be done by: 1. Clicking on the Secure Messaging App tab in the top 2. Click Bulk Provision instead of add new 3. Tick the box next to all the users that need a license 9

10 4. Click the Provision at the bottom of the list 5. You will now see a list of chosen users within the Secure Messaging App Tab. 10
