2 Module 1 Getting Oriented Goal Time Establish a foundational understanding of each of the main suites in the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform. 1 hour Logging In The YuJa Enterprise Video Platform can be accessed within your LMS. Although recording is currently unavailable, it will become available once Single Sign On (SSO) is configured. In the future, you will be able to access YuJa through your institution s SSO or directly. Tasks to Complete 1) To get started, log-in to Canvas. Then, open a course and access the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform from the course navigation menu. Overview of the Suites This module is designed to gain a cursory understanding of what s available within the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform. Tasks to Complete 1) Hover over the Suite Tiles to gain an understanding of what each suite does. We will focus on completing a few tasks within these suites.

3 Understanding the Media Channels Suite Media Channels are playlists of media aligned to a specific course, department or institution. Tasks to Complete 1) Click on a video within the Public Channel to play a video. This media channel is designed as a simple way to view media playlists. Understanding the Capture & Live Stream Suite Capture & Live Stream enables you to create lecture captures, live stream presentations and create rich flipped class content. Get a sense of the type of content creation tools by clicking the different capture options under the Create Recording button. Note: We will cover how to create content in a subsequent module. For now, just mentally note that this is the suite you ll use to create content. Understanding the Media Library Suite Media Library is a comprehensive video platform to organize media into channels and folders. Comprehensive tools to edit, tag, manage, and search media are also available. 1) Click on the Upload link to review all the ways you can bring content into the platform.

4 2) Click on New Folder to create a new folder / collection. You can create various collections of videos to improve sharing and organization. Understanding Usage & Analytics Analytics provide an at-a-glance review of different types of information throughout the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform. 1) Click on Usage & Analytics and select the Content tab. 2) From the suite view, you can measure the engagement for your published video by tracking overall views, views per user, and hotspots. Understanding Video Quizzes The Platform s Quizzes offer a way to assess student learning, encourage interaction, and to measure student understanding of video content. You may create a Text Quiz or a Video Quiz. 1) Go to your Upload & Manage suite, and single-click on the uploaded or recorded video that you wish to make a quiz out of. 2) Under the More Actions menu, click on Create Quiz. 3) Under the Create Quiz popup, select the radio button next to Video Quiz. 4) Enter a Title and click Play on the video. 5) Click Add Question and select the desired question type. The video will pause automatically. Question types include Multiple Choice, Select Multiple, Short Answer and True or False. Save the question and press Play to continue. 6) Repeat these steps to enter questions as desired. When complete, you can choose to Save, Post or Discard your Quiz.
