ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 asic thernet wiring and setup This appendix is intended to provide information on thernet network wiring and the use of the Netdit utility to configure and update HOST ngineering thernet-enabled modules: RX series: X-M MPUs, X-00-M (-), X-MIO-M (-), X-MIO-M (-), X-OMLT L0/0 series: H0-PSM, H0-OM00 L0 series: H-00, H-OM00, H-RM00 L0 series: H-, H-OM00, H-RM00 Terminator series: TH-00, TH-P dditional: S-RV00, M-ateway NOT: or specific information on a device, please refer to the appropriate manual on the utomationirect.com website under Manuals/ocs. Network Wiring The thernet port on the HOST thernet-based modules utilizes standard networking cables and devices. ategory e cabling is preferred. ables can be either patch (straight through) or crossover, as follows. T+ T R+ R RJ OR/WHT OR RN/WHT LU LU/WHT RN RN/WHT RN rossover able 0ase-T/00ase-TX RN/WHT RN OR/WHT LU LU/WHT OR RN/WHT RN T+ T R+ R RJ patch or crossover cable can be connected to an thernet port that supports automatic MIX detection. The port detects the type of cable that is connected (straight through or crossover) and configures the port connection to match it. The following HOST ngineering devices support automatic MIX detection: RX series: X-M MPUs, X-00-M (-), X-MIO-M (-), X-MIO-M (-), X-OMLT L0/0 series: H0-OM00 L0 series: H-00, H-OM00, H-RM00 L0 series: H-OM00, H-RM00 Terminator series: TH-00, TH-P dditional: S-RV00, M-ateway The H- module does not support automatic MIX detection. crossover cable is required to connect a P directly to this module. patch cable is normally used between a network switch and this module. - RX User Manual, rd dition

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products Maximum able Length The maximum distance per 0/00aseT cable segment is 00 meters ( feet). repeater will extend the distance. repeater can be an thernet unmanaged or managed switch, an thernet router or an thernet media converter (RJ 0/00 to multi-mode S/ST 00X fiber). ach cable segment attached to a repeater can be 00 meters ( feet) long. 00 meters ( feet) IP ddressing and Subnets 0_00aseT istance Limitations 00 meters ( feet) 00 meters ( feet) etween Repeaters 00 meters ( feet) 00 meters ( feet) IP ddresses (used in conjunction with the Subnet Mask and efault ateway address) are used for network routing. This allows for easy and logical separation of networks. It is outside of the scope of this user manual to explain how IP addresses and subnet masks are configured for actual usage. There are many books, documents and tools (subnet calculators) on the Internet that provide this information. ach facility and network will incorporate their own rules and guidelines for how their networks are to be configured. We suggest that users maintain their IP addressing and subnets according to common networking practices by using private network addressing when at all possible. xamples of private addressing IP ranges can be found in the table below. IP ddressing and Subnets IP ddress Range Typical Subnet lassful escription lass Network lass Network lass Network 0 NOT: Notice that the IP range of is not listed above. This range is reserved for PIP addressing and is not recommended for use with most networks. RX User Manual, rd dition -

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 Netdit Software Netdit is the free utility used to manage all aspects of HOST ngineering thernet-enabled devices. This includes configuring the network settings (Module I or IP address), updating the firmware in the devices, performing diagnostic and troubleshooting tasks and setting up any runtime configuration options that are available. The use of an xcel-style grid allows the list of devices to be sorted by any column. The built-in xport feature will save the current device list to a SV file. Installing Netdit Netdit is installed with o-more! esigner and with irectsot programming software packages. This utility is also available as a standalone download. The download link is: SW-Products/Netedit.zip. This is a compressed file. xtract the file and run the SetupN.exe file to install the utility. Launching Netdit It is possible to launch Netdit in several ways: rom the o-more! esigner programming software, under the pplications window, select Netdit : rom the irectsot programming software, under the SLaunch Utilities menu, select Netdit : Stand-alone: On Windows or later, Search for Netdit or select the app from the programs list under utomationirect Tools > Netdit. - RX User Manual, rd dition

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products The Netdit Screen Starting Netdit brings up the screen below. ll Netdit functions are accessed from this screen. The screen is divided into the following three sections, each of which is discussed later in this section:. Menu section: llows update of Netdit and select the network card (NI) to be used.. Information available for each device: the main body of the screen provides addressing and identification for each device.. Information and Settings for each device: Provides hardware information and allows you to configure the devices to fit your application. The Settings section is broken up into three major parts: onfiguration, Utils and irmware. vailable settings vary depending on the device selected from the list, as discussed later in this section. Using Netdit This section steps through the features and uses of Netdit, including individual segments of the Netdit screen and their corresponding functions. ile Menu 0 RX User Manual, rd dition -

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 Using Netdit, continued ilemenu: Live Update The Live Update option will retrieve the latest firmware and boot loader files from the Host ngineering web site and place them in the Netdit Images folder that was created during the install of Netdit. The feature requires that you have a functional Internet connection. If the Images folder does not exist on your P, it will be created as part of the retrieval process. When you click the o! utton on the Live Update window, Netdit will compare the version information of the files on the Host ngineering web site against the files you have locally on your P, and it will download any newer files. Once this process is complete, Netdit will rescan the devices on your network and refresh the and columns next to the listed devices. ilemenu: xport Use the xport function to save a copy of the modules listed in the Netdit screen. The SV file stores the thernet address, module type, IP address, module I, name and description. licking on the xport button brings up a Windows Save s dialog, allowing the user to enter the file name and folder in which to store the SV file. 7 ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products Using Netdit, continued Network Menu: Protocol The user can select the protocol Netdit will use to communicate with the field device. It is possible to select IPX, TP/IP or Serial, as shown in the image to the right. The Serial protocol allows the user to select the communications port on the P to be used in updating the firmware on a H0/H/TH-P module. Network Menu: dapter The dapter feature allows the user to select the network interface card (NI) used to connect to the network of HOST thernet-enabled devices. This is useful if there is more than one NI. The user does not have to change Windows settings in order to connect to a network other than the Windows default network. Network Menu: Scan for Modules licking on the Scan for Modules button causes Netdit to transmit a broadcast to the network. ll HOST thernet-enabled devices on the network respond to the query and Netdit fills the list. The list contains the thernet address, irmware/ooter/onflict status, Module Type, IP address, module I, Name and escription for each module. Network Menu: onnect to Single evice The onnect to Single evice feature allows you to filter the list and view only the specified device. 0 RX User Manual, rd dition -

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 Using Netdit, continued Selecting this option brings up a window where the user enters the specific IP address of the device they want to get information about. or example, when 0... is entered in the onnect to Single evice window, the list is cleared and only the requested device is displayed, as shown below: View Menu The View menu allows the user to select the features to be displayed in the Netdit screen. The Toolbar displays/hides the following: The Status ar displays/hides the bottom portion of the screen: - RX User Manual, rd dition

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products Using Netdit, continued The Settings ar displays/hides the Settings box: Utils Menu: Start SMTP Viewer NOT: o not use SMTP Viewer for o-more! PLs. SMTP Viewer is only helpful for irectloi and irectsot projects. o-more! uses the mlogger and ST $nablemsgump for MIL SMTP protocol debugging. Selecting to Start SMTP Viewer feature displays the following window. This utility helps troubleshoot mail transmission issues by allowing you to look at the SMTP protocol traffic between an OM00 module and an SMTP Server. or more information, review HOST OM Q00 ( htm#q00) on OM00 Send MIL Theory of Operation and this utility. thernet ommunications Protocol In the upper left corner of the Netdit screen, you will find buttons labeled IPX and TP/IP. The HOST thernet-enabled modules understand these protocols. oth protocols are permanently resident in the firmware of the module. 0 When you click on one of these buttons, you are selecting the protocol you want your P to use to communicate with the module. You are not telling the module which protocol to use, because it is using both protocols all the time. RX User Manual, rd dition -

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 Using Netdit, continued Note: IPX is a Novell standard which is no longer supported by Windows since the release of the Vista OS. UP/IP is a popular protocol supported by the TP/IP suite of protocols in your P. The figure to the right shows the Protocol selection buttons in the upper left corner of the Netdit screen. The choice you make here tells your P which protocol to send to the HOST module to link Netdit to the module. Some P-based control software products may support only one of these protocols. Read the documentation for your software to be sure the protocol you select is supported. thernet ddress The upper left section of the Netdit screen displays the thernet M ddress of HOST modules currently on the network. If modules are added or removed from the network, click on the Scan Network button to update the list. Notice that the M ddress is the factory-assigned address that is on the permanent label on the module. Select a specific module here by clicking on the M ddress or by using the arrow keys. The selected module is highlighted. // olumns The,, and columns are provided to signify potential issues with devices on the network. The column will display an asterisk beside any device whose firmware is older than its firmware file in your Images folder. This column will display a hyphen for devices that cannot have firmware updated with Netdit, such as a RX MPU. The column will display an asterisk beside any device whose boot loader is older than its boot loader file in your Images folder. This column will display a hyphen for devices that cannot have firmware updated with Netdit, such as a RX MPU. 14 ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 onfiguration: eneral Settings The eneral Settings box allows the user to assign a Module I, give the module a name and description and to set the IP, Subnet Mask, and ateway addresses for the module. Module I Module Is are optional for most devices. Module Is must be unique for each device, but, they don t have to be in sequence. The module IP switches associated with the Module I, must be set to zero to allow Netdit to set a Module I. o not use address zero (0) when used for communications. The Name field and escription field are optional and can be used by the user for identification purposes. IP ddress It is recommended that all thernet devices have an IP address. n IP ddress is assigned to a device if your network will be using the TP/IP or Modbus TP (not available in all devices) protocols. If you have a separate dedicated network for your device, you may be able to use the Module I identifier (IPX protocol) for communications instead of an IP address. Some HOST thernet-enabled devices are configured at the factory to look for a HP (ynamic Host onfiguration Protocol) server at power up. HP provides a way to allocate an IP address, a NS domain or a gateway IP address dynamically to devices on the local area network. system or network administrator configures a HP server with a range of IP addresses that can be assigned to HP enabled clients (e.g. H-00). Not all HOST thernet-enabled devices support HP. NOT: It is not recommended to use HP to assign IP addresses for your permanent installation. The user should assign a static IP address to each device. It is extremely important not to have duplicate IP addresses on the network. To set an IP ddress, select Use the following IP settings. Use the IP ddress assigned to the module by your network administrator. If you change the IP ddress, do not use the number 0 or in any field. oing so will cause communication problems. The valid settings are through. The module ships from the factory with an IP ddress of or... This is not a usable IP ddress for communications. The IP address must be updated before it is used. Once the IP address, the Subnet mask and the ateway (optional) are entered, click on the OK button to write the updated settings to the flash memory on the device. - RX User Manual, rd dition

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products onfiguration: Serial Port Settings Hx-00: RS- Serial Port settings X-MIO: RS- Serial Port settings On the Serial Port Settings window, make any necessary changes to the serial communication parameters. e sure these parameters match the parameters of the serial device with which you are communicating. The serial port on the HX-00s was intended to be used as a single RS- device. The station address is fixed at. The serial port on the X-MIO is a Modbus RTU slave device, wired for RS-. The user can select a station address in the range of to. NOT: Some P-based ontrol software packages may automatically overwrite settings selected here. Refer to the documentation for your P-based ontrol software. Once changes to the parameters are complete, click on the OK button to write the updated settings to the flash memory on the device. 0 RX User Manual, rd dition -

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 onfiguration: I/O ase settings The I/O base settings box applies to the H- and the L0 I/O. ecause the H- does not receive enough information from the installed modules, the user must distinguish between iscrete I/O and nalog I/O modules. The default symbol appears on the configuration screen where a discrete or analog module is present. or discrete modules, you do not have to change anything. The H- recognizes and selfconfigures for the discrete modules. If you are using analog modules, you must let the H- know which module is installed in the slot. lick on the slot location where the analog module is located. ontinue clicking on the same slot location until the part number of the installed analog module is displayed. In the example above, the user selected the --n, because there is a -- installed in that slot. If you are using a H-HS, High Speed ounter module, the word Intelligent will be displayed in gray in the slot it is installed in. In the example above, slot displays the word Intelligent because there is a H-HS installed in that slot. This H-HS is configured automatically. No action is required. If the H-TRIO module is used, the slot it is installed in appears as mpty in gray. The user must use the TRIO Workbench utility to configure the H-TRIO module. Reference the HX-TRIO-M user manual for more information. Once the correct part numbers appear for each of your analog modules, click the OK button to save the configuration into the H- flash memory. - RX User Manual, rd dition

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products onfiguration: dvanced settings The advanced settings box is available to the H0-OM00, the H-OM00 and the H-OM00. The RX/WX Settings affect PL to PL communications. K Timeout the time the initiating OM will wait for the target OM over the network to reply with an K (acknowledgement) telegram, indicating the target OM received the read or write request. Resp. Timeout the time the initiating OM will wait (after successfully receiving an K) for the target OM over the network to reply with the telegram containing the data requested in the read or write. Retries this is the number of times the OM will retry transmissions over the network for OM to OM (Peer to Peer) communications. The number of times the initiating OM will resend the original request to the target OM over the network if he received no K, nor response. KSequence Settings Retries the number of times the OM will resend the original response to the PL across the backplane. Modbus Settings Master timeout the time the OM will wait (if it is the master/client in a Modbus TP network) for any of his Modbus TP slaves/servers over the network to reply to the (function code) it just sent. Slave Timeout the time the OM will wait (if it is the slave/server in a Modbus TP network) for the Modbus TP master/client to make contact again before it closes the TP connection. OMLT/RX Serial Timeout lags Timeout sets the maximum time for the RX MPU to respond to the OMLT POM. Note: Under normal circumstances, the default value is fine. This field should not be used by the user unless recommended by technical support. orce 0aseT (OM00) - this selection forces the OM00 to communicate at 0 Mbps. Normally, the OM00 auto-negotiates with the thernet switch it is connected to and picks to communicate at the fastest speed it can (00 Mbps). This selection has no meaning for OMs since they cannot communicate at anything faster than 0 Mbps. Read Only Web onfig (OM00) - this selection makes it impossible to modify any of the OM00 s settings via the HTML (web server) configuration with an Internet browser. This selection has no meaning for OMs since they cannot be configured via HTML. 0 RX User Manual, rd dition -

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 onfiguration: dvanced settings, continued nable Peerlink (OM00) - this selection enables the OM00 to function as a PRLINK device on a o-more! PRLINK network. This selection has no meaning for OMs since they cannot be used on a PRLINK network. nable IP Switch Lockout - this selection enables IP switch on the OM00 to be able to be used to write-protect the OM00 s flash memory. Thus, the firmware, network configuration, node configuration, peer-to-peer configuration and the SMTP (mail) configuration become readonly. Normally IP switch is used as part of the OM00 s Module I number. If you are currently using IP switch to set the Module I to a value greater than and you want to use IP switch as a lockout, then you will have to set all the Module I dipswitches to O (for a Module I value of zero) and then use Netdit to set the Module I to what it was before. nable Web Server (OM00) - this selection enables the HTML (web server) configuration. y default, this interface is now disabled to protect the OM00 s configuration from unauthorized access. xpansion onfiguration lag No function. xpansion onfiguration lag - No function. xpansion onfiguration lag - No function. onfiguration: Peer to Peer configuration This function allows you to configure the client H0/H/H-OM(00) module to use an IP protocol packet to perform the RX/WX instruction, as opposed to a broadcast packet to locate the slave OM or MOUS TP server. When to use Peer to Peer: the following are reasons or conditions of when to configure the H0/H/ H-OM(00) for peer to peer communications with a TP/IP server device: To eliminate network broadcast traffic when the OM(00) is a client executing RX/WX network instructions. When an OM(00) is an OM protocol client and needs to access other server OMs through a router. When an OM00 needs to serve as MOUS TP client ny previous configuration will be listed when the Peer to Peer onfiguration box is displayed. - RX User Manual, rd dition

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products onfiguration: Peer to Peer configuration, continued The RX and WX ladder logic instructions used by the PL allow you to specify a Node (evice) Number as the slave identifier in the range of -. The Peer to Peer onfiguration information is stored in the OM(00) module s flash memory. This basically associates a evice Number (that is used by the RX/WX instructions) with a server s IP address. licking on the dd button in the Peer to Peer onfiguration window will display the dd evice ddress window shown below. nter the necessary server s network information (i.e. evice Number, server s IP address and protocol). You can manually enter the information or you can click on the ind Hx-OM button to display all local OMs currently on the network. MOUS TP device s network information will have to be entered manually. licking the OK button adds the evice onfiguration to the main peer to peer configuration screen. e certain not to duplicate evice Numbers. licking on the ind Hx-OM button in the dd evice ddress window will display the Select OM window shown below. Highlight the server OM that you intend to communicate with peer to peer via the client OM(00) module. Then click the OK button. This will add the OM s evice onfiguration information to the previous dd evice ddress window. 0 RX User Manual, rd dition -

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 onfiguration: Peer to Peer configuration, continued Once the module s network information is in the dd evice ddress window (previous page), click the OK button to add the information to the main Peer to Peer onfiguration window. Repeat the steps to add other OMs or Modbus TP devices to the configuration. licking the OK button on the main screen window writes the module(s) network information to the OM(00) s flash memory. -0 RX User Manual, rd dition

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products onfiguration: mail configuration NOT: o not use Mail onfiguration for o-more! PLs. Use o-more! esigner to configure Mail for a o-more! PL. This Mail onfiguration is only useful for irectloi and irectsot projects. Some of the Mail Setup parameters are required, and some are optional. elow is a description each parameter: Server IP ddress (RQUIR) - must be a valid IP address of an SMTP Server accessible from the OM00. This implies that the OM00 s IP ddress and Subnet Mask (both part of the normal IP configuration) must be valid also. Sender Name (optional) a human readable name which will be the rom field on all recipients of any Mail from the OM00. Sender Mail ddress (RQUIR) almost all SMTP servers require this to be a valid Mail account on the SMTP server. c ddresses (optional) a comma separated list of Mail addresses. ue to the limitation of the backplane data length, the Mail instruction from ladder can only generate bytes of data for all fields in the MIL instruction, including the To: Subject: and ody: fields. One way to maximize the Subject: and ody: fields from the ladder program is to enter a common predefined list of mail addresses to be arbon opied (c:) on every sent Mail. Since this list will already be in the OM00, the user will not need to have a list of mail addresses in the MIL instruction s To: field, thus maximizing the data bytes for the Subject: and ody: fields of the MIL instruction. SMTP Port (RQUIR) y default, most SMTP Servers use TP/IP Port number. It can be changed here, if necessary. Timeout) (RQUIR) The default value is 0 seconds. Since the PL program is running asynchronously to the processing of all Mails by the SMTP server, a timeout needs to be provided in order to allow for the possibility that the Server could be down, or the thernet cable could be disconnected, or the Server is being bombarded with other requests, or other issues. This will allow 0 RX User Manual, rd dition -

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 onfiguration: mail configuration, continued the OM00 to report a timeout error back to the ladder program if it was unable to complete the operation. Note that this is the time it takes to do the complete transaction, so the user may need to increase it if they have a lot of recipients (in the To: and c: fields) because the total amount of time taken is directly proportional to the number of recipients. good guess for a timeout value is twice the wait of a long Mail message with a lot of recipients, when the server is busy processing other mail transactions or other services. or some SMTP Servers, this could be minutes (00 seconds). Use uthentication allows the user to enter a username and password to be used by the SMTP server to verify that the incoming mail is from a trusted source. See HOST OM Q00 ( for more information on OM00 Send MIL Theory of Operation and this utility. onfiguration: Start Web based onfig Several HOST thernet-enabled devices have a web configuration page. rom the web server page, it is possible to access the same setting options that are available through Netdit. efore the web configuration page can be accessed, the device must be appropriately added to the network. When the button is pressed it forces the OM00 to send a test to the address specified by the user, using the current mail configuration. When the button is pressed the following window is shown. The user enters the Mail address to which the test message will be sent. When the Send button is pressed, the OM00 will send the Mail. Note that the Mail is sent from the OM00 directly, not from the P running Netdit or running the web server configuration page. 0 RX User Manual, rd dition -

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 Utils: Show ase ontents The show base contents menu option is available to the X-MIO, X-MIO, and X/H0/H/ H-00. s an example, consider the window that comes up for a X-00 controller: This function queries the MIO/00/MIO for a list of the I/O modules it has in its base. The Module Type and the Modbus / addressing (available for the 00/MIO) will be listed as well. This helps confirm that the MIO/00/MIO can recognize all the I/O modules connected to the controller, an important troubleshooting tool. The information on the Show ase ontents window can be saved as a text (*.txt) file or printed for reference or future use. The ont button allows you to change the way text is displayed in the window. irmware: Update irmware, Update ooter and Restore actory Settings The functions in the irmware box are used to update the selected module s firmware and booter versions. The Restore actory Settings option resets the selected module s IP address, Module I (if not set by IP switches), Name and escription to factory defaults. licking on either of the Update buttons opens the appropriate folder within the Images folder, which is created during the install of Netdit. The Images folder is located in the same folder as Netdit.exe. ach module folder contains the module s firmware and boot loader files. efore the update takes place, a confirmation window is displayed, allowing the user to initiate the update. or example, the following window is displayed when attempting to update the firmware in a X-00: licking on the Yes button continues with the update. s discussed earlier in this appendix, the user should periodically check for new firmware and booter versions by using the Live Update feature in Netdit or the heck or Updates feature in the o-more! esigner programming software. Once the latest updates have been downloaded, use the // columns to determine if any device requires an update. - RX User Manual, rd dition

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products When Netdit oes Not Work When Netdit does not see a Host ngineering thernet device The IPonfig Tool was created to help recover Host ngineering thernet devices (e.g. OM00, 00, etc.) when: the devices have disappeared off the TP/IP network and have become invisible to Netdit. the IPX protocol is not available. The IPonfig Tool does this by using a directed IP broadcast to the M address (since the IP settings are obviously unknown or incorrect).. THRNT RSS: nter the last bytes of the thernet address (M address) of the Host ngineering thernet device you wish to recover. This address is printed on the label of the device itself. or convenience, the field will contain the first bytes of the M address of all Host ngineering thernet devices (00:0:).. IP RSS: nter the IP address you wish for the device to have. y default, this will contain bytes based on what it discovered about your P s IP address and subnet settings, but all fields are editable.. SUNT MSK: nter the subnet mask you wish for the device to have. y default, this will contain the same subnet mask as your P.. PTR TO US OR WRITIN: Select the thernet adapter you wish to use for performing the write. s you click on different adapters, if they have different subnet mask definitions, then the SUNT MSK field will change accordingly. 0 RX User Manual, rd dition -

ppendix : Netdit thernet Setup Utility for HOST utomation Products 0 When Netdit oes Not Work, continued. WRIT button: Pressing this button will write the IP ddress and Subnet Mask to the device that has the entered thernet ddress.. ON button: Pressing this button will close the application.. HLP button: Pressing this button will open a Notepad window with the information found in this section. How to use the IPonfig Tool. Run the IPonfig Tool from one of the following locations: a. ouble-click on IPonfig under o-more! esigner Launchpad pplications windows. b. ouble-click on IPonfig under SLaunch Utilities section. c. ouble-click on IPonfig0.X file from Windows xplorer (under the HPTOOLS folder).. t the bottom, select the adapter you wish to use for performing the write. This will help set the Subnet Mask field to a proper default value.. nter the thernet (M) address of the device you wish to attempt to recover in the thernet ddress field.. nter the IP address you wish the device to have in the IP ddress field. Make sure you choose one that is on the P s subnet.. In most cases there is no need to set the Subnet Mask field because it will have the correct subnet based on the adapter you picked in Step.. Press the <Write> button. a. If it completes with no errors you will get a message saying, ool! ound device! oto Step. b. If it can t find the device you will get a message saying, Sorry!
