6 Data Logger Configuration in External Memory Define External Memory for Data logging. FTP Client option will be available only if External Memory for Data logging is defined. Define Data Logger Group, Logging Mode, Log interval, Data Type and File Name for Data logger. Assign Tags for Memory Used, Log Data Clear Bit and SD card Safe Removal bit Application Note for FTP

7 FTP Configuration FTP Configuration Help: The FTP feature is provided to allow user to transfer logged data from external device to their FTP server. FTP option will come in the project tree and clicking on it will open the configuration window: FTP using FP Ethernet Port: - 6 -Application Note for FTP

8 FTP using GWY910: For FTP configuration, check the Configure FTP Client option which will be available only if External memory for data logging is defined. This will enable the fields available for configuration. Click on OK button to save information. To remove configuration settings, uncheck this option and then click on OK button Application Note for FTP

9 FTP Configuration Following are the fields: FTP Enable Bit: When this bit is ON, logged data file will be uploaded to FTP server at set intervals. File Resend Bit: When this bit is ON and user changes the server address and credentials then the current file will go again to the new server. This feature will help in server mirroring. Group Number: This field will select the group number file to be uploaded on the server. Ex- if four groups are defined in data logger and user enters group number 1 then group no 1 file will be uploaded on to the server. Source Media: In this field user will select the source external device from where the data needs to be uploaded. Destination Media: In this field user will select the destination source from where the data needs to be transferred (If COM port is selected then user needs to connect the GSM gateway for data transfer). APN: This field will be needed only if COM port is selected as here user needs to give the Access Point Name of the service provider for GPRS gateway. Username & Password: This field will be needed for authentication for the server side. If he will check the show password then password will be visible. Server Address: The user needs to provide the FTP server address for which Username and Password is provided. Destination Path: The user needs to provide the destination path for the folder where FTP will keep the log files. Send at Every: - The user needs to provide the interval time at which the FTP will open the port and send the file. The minimum time is 5sec and user needs to keep it more than the maximum time of data logger groups Application Note for FTP

10 FTP Configuration There are some status registers which will help user in trouble shooting, these are: Media: - This will help in finding the error in Source media, Error codes are as follows No Error 0 Data log in progress 1 Media OK 2 SD Card not connected 41 USB not connected 42 File System Not mounted 43 FTP Status File not exist 44 Upload file not exist 45 Unable to open file 46 FTP driver not defined 47 FTP destination media not supported 48 Source media not supported 49 Net Connection: This will help in finding the Error in Net connection, Error codes are as follows: No error 0 Connecting to Net 1 Connected to Net 2 link up (For Ethernet Only) 2 link down (For Ethernet Only) 1 Net Connect error 55 APN error 56 FTP: - This will help in finding the error in FTP, Error codes are as follows: No error 0 Authentication in progress 1 Authentication done 2 User length error 59 Password length error 60 Server length error 61 Group number error 62 Connect error 63 Timeout error 64 Server error 65 Operation not allowed Application Note for FTP
