1 ProDVX Lite Signage Player The ProDVX Lite Signage Player (LSP) is an easy to use tool to distribute your content to Android devices within your local or wide area network. The LSP app can be installed on a wide variety of Android devices. In this manual we will use the ProDVX APPC10-DS 10 Android Panel PC. Installing the LSP Application on your device 1. Copy the ProDVX LSP APK to an SD-Card. Place the SD-Card in the SD card slot 2. Use the AppInstaller on the desktop to install the APK. Some devices don't allow by default applications from unknow sources to be installed. You can change this in the setting menu in the Security Section. Check the box Allow installation of apps from unknown sources 1 P age

2 3. Choose External Storage Card as this is the SD-Card where you copied the application on. 4. Choose the ProDVX LSP Icon 5. Choose Install to start the installation process 2 P age

3 6. After installation open the ProDVX LSP application. 7. Follow the instructions on the screen. Touch 6 seconds anywhere on the screen. To enter the LSP application 8. Enter the login credentials provided by ProDVX. 3 P age

4 9. Name the player you are installing. You will need this name for future use. This was the last step of the installation process. 4 P age

Player menu After installation of the LSP and naming the player the device is listed on the server. If you want to remove the device from the server follow the following steps In the Settings menu choose Player then choose Disconnect Player Choose ok if you want to disconnect and delete the player 5 P age

Source and Synchronization menu The LSP can play content from 4 different data sources Dropbox FTP Server SD-Card (Local Disk) Website Setting the data source Choose Select source Setting the Dropbox as the data source Choose the circle behind the Dropbox the circle will turn green. After that click the word Dropbox 6 P age

7 Choose account to enter your Dropbox account credentials After logging into your Dropbox account the following folder is created: apps/prodvx LSP for android/media Use the media folder (or any additional folders you want to create) to store the content you want to be synced with your player. 7 P age

8 To set the folder you want to use for syncing your device with choose Folder and then choose the folder you want to use from the pop up screen. Click ok. The default interval time for synchronization between the player and the Dropbox is 15 minutes. You can change this in the above screen. Using direct synchronization you can force the player to immediately synchronize. 8 P age

9 Setting an FTP Server as the data source Choose the circle behind the FTP Server the circle will turn green. After that click the word FTP Server Enter the Server name, Username and password and test the connection. Then choose the folder that needs to synchronize with your player 9 P age

10 The default interval time for synchronization between the player and the FTP Server is 15 minutes. You can change this in the above screen. Using direct synchronization you can force the player to immediately synchronize. Setting an SD Card as the data Source Click on the word folder Choose either SD-Card or USB stick. 11 Setting a Website to run in Kiosk mode Choose website Enter the website address including By default a navigationbar is shown while using the Website mode. The navigation bar can be used as a back button. If you check the box hide navigation bar this will not be available 11 P age

12 C. Presentation Menu 1. Set the time that images are shown. Enter the number of seconds an image should be displayed. 2. Set the time (Length) of the videos. Enter the time in seconds a video should be played. Empty or 0 will show the entire video. A time shorter than the video will cut of the video. 12 P age

13 3. Start at boot. Checking this box means that the LSP will start playing after rebooting the device. 4. Interaction. If the LSP is used on a touch device it can be set to go to a website when the screen is touched. Choose interaction. Set the slider in the upper left corner to on Enter the webaddress you want to use including 13 P age

14 The timeout time is the number of seconds the website waits for interaction. After that it returns to the presentation. This is the number of seconds the information of the web session is stored after the website has been closed. This is useful if the player is returning to its presentation while the user was not interacting with the device (idle time). 14 P age
