1 How to Use the DICOM Uploader Please Note: The DICOM Uploader requires Java Runtime Enforcement (JRE) Version 6 Update 10 or higher. To ensure you have the correct version of Java installed on your computer please click Test Java Now as described in Step 3 below. Step 1: Go to and select the Support option at the top of the home page. Step 2: Select the option for DICOM Uploader.

2 Then the following web page will load: The web page s appearance and behaviour may vary depending on which web browser you are using Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Safari (Macintosh). Please skip to the appropriate section, below. Step 3A Internet Explorer: If this is the first time you have used DICOM Uploader, please click The following web page will open. If you do not see this page please Download and Install Java as described in Step 4 below.

3 Please click to test for the correct Java version. Please click Run if you see the following screen: Step 4A Internet Explorer: If Java is already installed, you will see a message similar to the following:

4 If you see the message You have the recommended Java installed skip to Step 5A. If you do not see this message, you need to install Java on your computer, so please click Download and follow the instructions on the screen. Please Note: There may be some advertisements or Optional Offers on the download screens. We do not recommend downloading or installing any software other than Java. Step 3B Firefox: If this is the first time you have used DICOM Uploader, please click The following web page will open. If you do not see this page please Download and Install Java as described in Step 4B below.

You may see the following message: If you see this message please click Save File. Then go to your Downloads folder and double-click jxpiinstall.exe to install Java software.

Step 5B Firefox: Please return to this web page after verifying that Java is installed: Please scroll to the bottom of the page and click to proceed. Please click OK if you see the following window:

8 Please proceed to Step 6. Step 3C Chrome You cannot test whether or not Java is installed using Chrome. If this is the first time you have used DICOM Uploader, we recommend using a different browser such as Internet Explorer (see Step 3A) or Firefox (see Step 3B) to check whether Java is installed. Please install Java using Internet Explorer (Step 4A) or Firefox (Step 4B) if necessary. Step 5C Chrome: Please return to this web page after verifying that Java is installed: Please scroll to the bottom of the page and click to proceed.

Step 3D Safari (Macintosh): If this is the first time you have used DICOM Uploader, please click The following web page will open. If you do not see this page please Download and Install Java as described in Step 4 below. Please click to test for the correct Java version. You may see the following screen:

10 Click Java blocked for this website and if you see the following screen, click Trust. Please click Run if you see the following screen:

11 Step 4D Safari (Macintosh): If Java is already installed, you will see a message similar to the following: If you see the message You have the recommended Java installed skip to Step 5A. If you do not see this message, you need to install Java on your computer so please click Download and follow the instructions on the screen. 12 Please scroll to the bottom of the page and click to proceed. If DICOM Uploader does not launch automatically, please launch it from Downloads in the top right corner of your Browser: Right Click (with the right mouse button) on DICOMUploader.jnlp and select Show in Finder :

13 Right Click (with the right mouse button) on DICOMUploader and select Open. Please click Open if you see this screen:

14 Please click Run if you see this screen: Then proceed to Step 6. Step 6 All Browsers: You will see the following screen: Click Re-Scan Drives if your CD is not automatically selected. Click Read from Removable Disk to upload DICOM files from a CD or Memory Stick. Click Read from Hard Disk to upload DICOM files from your hard disk drive.

Once you have selected the images you want, click SEND. You can leave Use Lossy Compression ticked. The uploader will try compress the files.

15 Once the uploader has finished searching the CD a list will appear under DICOM Images. From this list you can select an image, series, study or you can choose to send ALL files. Once you have selected the images you want, click SEND. You can leave Use Lossy Compression ticked. The uploader will try compress the files. If it cannot use Lossy Compression it will use Lossless Compression and untick the box.
