5 We will install Analog Devices VisualDSP 3.5 for 16- Bit Processors tools and register it on line. Then we connect the board to our computer and install HW and SW of High Performance PCI-Based Emulator. We also verify if the driver is installed correctly and there is connectivity with the board. P5

6 We need these things VisualDSP++ installation CD VisualDSP++ Emulator Tools CD ADSP-BF533 EZ-KIT Lite via HPPCI Board and ICE P6

8 1. Insert the VisualDSP++ installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. P8

9 2. If Auto Run is enabled for the CD on your PC, you see the InstallShield Wizard Welcome screen. Otherwise double click ADI_Setup.exe in CD. P9

10 3. Click Next to continue. P10

11 4. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next to continue. P11

12 5. Fill in the user information with ADIDSPXX (XX 01~10) and GIEE separately. Then click Next to continue. P12

13 6. Click Next to continue. P13

14 7. Click Install to begin installation. P14

15 8. Click Finish to exit. P15

17 1. From the Start menu, choose Programs Analog Devices VisualDSP 3.5 for 16-bit Processors VisualDSP++ Environment P17

18 2. Select Help About VisualDSP++ to install a license. P18

19 3. Select License New and enter serial number(provided on the sticker affixed to the CD sleeve and the registration form). Then click OK. P19

20 4. Select the product serial number and click Register. ( s/visualdspregistration.asp) P20

21 5. Fill in the on-line form and click Register. P21

22 6. You will receive a validation code within 24 hours. P22

23 7. Select the product serial number and click Validate. Then enter your validation code and click OK. P23

25 1. Connect JTAG header to your PC. 2. Insert the VisualDSP++ Emulator Tools CD into the CD-ROM drive. P25

26 3. Open Device Manager and install the HPPCI-ICE JTAG Emulator driver. Be sure there is no exclamation point. P26

27 4. Connect JTAG header to the board and power on the board. 5. From the Start menu, choose Programs Analog Devices VisualDSP 3.5 for 16-bit Processors ICETest Utility P27

28 6. Click Start to verify that the driver is installed correctly and that there is connectivity with the board. P28

29 7. If all the tests pass, green check marks appear next to the entries in the Status group. P29

30 8. From the Start menu, choose Programs Analog Devices VisualDSP 3.5 for 16-bit Processors VisualDSP++ Configuration P30

31 9. Select ADSP-BF533 EZ-KIT Lite via HPPCI and Click New to create a new platform. P31

32 10.Highlight Device 0 and Click Modify to change its name and type. Then click OK. P32

33 11.Your platform is added as shown below. P33
