1 These Release Notes announce the distribution of Release 7.4 Commercial Update 3, which includes enhancements and problem fixes since the June 21, 2017 release of 7.4 Commercial Update 2.1. Important Note: After every suresmile update, we recommend clearing your browser cache to remove any remnants of the old version to optimize software performance. Enhancements Products/ Description suresmile, elemetrix, fusion / Customer Care International Customer Support Simplified International customer support with OraMetrix has just been simplified. Effective immediately, whether you are a suresmile, elemetrix or fusion customer, we now have ONE, toll-free international number for your convenience: We are currently rolling out this number on a country-by-country basis. It is currently available in most of Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Korea. 2 Enhancements Products/ Description suresmile only / Wires Remove Wire button now disabled for last wire in wire sequence order When you displayed the last wire in a wire sequence in the Displacements or the Wire Sequence tabs, the Remove Wire button remained active, even though you cannot remove the last wire in the wire sequence from this tab. If you clicked the Remove Wire button, nothing happened. Many users reported this was confusing. We ve fixed this so that now when you display the last wire in a sequence, the Remove Wire button is dimmed and cannot be clicked. Note: To remove a wire sequence completely and start over, go to the Order tab and click the Remove Wire button suresmile & Undo feature expanded for staged models The Undo functionality now works for the Recalculate Staging, Update Previous Stages and Update Next Stages buttons. 3 Enhancements Products/ Description suresmile only / Standard w/ B Case Type Approve Setup (B not needed) option now allows you to continue with suresmile wires The Approve Setup (B not needed) option under the More button on the Order tab now allows you to continue with suresmile wires without having to order B trays. Previously if you chose this option, you would have to start a new standard case if you wanted to treat the patient with suresmile wires. Now there are two scenarios where you can decide to choose this option: Scenario A - You ve already exported the B tray digital files for printing in-house or at a 3 rd party lab and you no longer need to order printed trays from OraMetrix. In this scenario, after you select the Approve Setup (B not needed) option, you can now continue with designing and ordering suresmile wires. Scenario B - You decide not to use B at all but instead bond the patient directly. In this scenario, after you select the Approve Setup (B not needed) option, you will first need to submit a bracket update scan of the directly bonded brackets to reflect the actual bracket positions. 4 Enhancements Products/ Description suresmile & DIY B New bracket void report now available In 7.4 Update 2, We added a new feature to allow you to easily identify those brackets where additional adhesive is needed to fill voids between the bracket base and the tooth surface. During the bonding appointment, the user can display the Bracket Voids dialog box by clicking the Bonding Appointment step in the checklist. This step becomes visible after the B is ordered. As a further enhancement of this feature, you can now print this information as a report. Click the new Bracket Voids button on the Brackets tab to display the report on a new tab in your browser, where you can print it if you wish. Tip: Print the report to use chairside as a guide when applying adhesive to the brackets suresmile & Workflow streamlined We ve streamlined the workflow for ordering staged models: For staged models ordered directly from OraMetrix, we ve consolidated the Approve and Order steps. We ve renamed the Approve button to Approve & Order. If you choose to export the staged models for printing in house or by a 3 rd party lab, we ve removed the review staged model task because it is unnecessary for exported models. 5 Enhancements Products/ Description suresmile & Revert Modifications button now available for suresmile Aligner case types and for elemetrix Fullservice Aligner Staging packages When you are reviewing setups for Full-service aligner case types in elemetrix, or Aligner case types in suresmile, you can now use the Revert Modifications button on the Order tab. In suresmile, this button allows you to remove all modifications you've made to the staged models since the setup was delivered for your review. In elemetrix, this button allows you to remove any notes you've entered to the staged models since the setup was delivered for your review suresmile & New IPR Tracking tab for staged models A new IPR tracking tab has been added to the treatment planning workspace for Staged Models. The new tab allows doctors and staff to see the amount of planned and completed IPR. This new tab will be most useful during aligner therapy when you want to check how much IPR has been completed compared to the amount of IPR originally planned for the patient in the suresmile setup. This tab allows you to enter newly performed IPR at each patient visits so that you can track completed IPR as therapy progresses suresmile & Undo function now tracks movements of different attachments on the same tooth Prior to this release, if you wanted to undo a movement to an attachment on a tooth with two or more attachments, the system could not determine which specific attachment on the tooth to undo the movement. We ve fixed this problem by giving specific internal s to each attachment, so that the system can now correctly undo the movement of a specific attachment. 6 Problem Fixes Product/ Explanation elemetrix only / Export B Trays Preference to Hide Export Trays Button now available for elemetrix users Several practices that only order B trays from OraMetrix requested that we hide the Export Trays button to avoid confusion. We responded to this request by providing a setting to hide this button under the Others tab on the Preferences page. Users with a doctor or administrator role can select or clear this practice-wide setting surescan / Scanning Incorrectly formatted scan file no longer causes surescan to crash If, when exporting a CBCT scan, a practice incorrectly exported the scan as a single file archive instead of a multi-file DICOM format, when they attempted to import the scan into surescan, surescan would immediately crash and a dialog box would appear with a message: "Would you like to send information to Microsoft about this error..." Now when you attempt to import an incorrectly formatted scan file, surescan no longer crashes. Instead, a dialog box appears with the following message: "...file must be in a multi-file DICOM format..." suresmile & Checklists Edited checklists now function correctly for Mac users The checklist was not showing the correct corresponding photos after personalizing the views. This problem occurred for a customer using an Apple Macintosh computer suresmile & B Pre-bonded brackets now show correctly on the 3D model when you toggle between FA Point and Jig Height references Occasionally, when you selected the Auto Adjust feature on the Bracket Placement tab and you toggled between the FA Point and Jig Height reference systems, the software displayed the pre-bonded brackets incorrectly in the 3D viewer. 7 Problem Fixes Product/ Explanation suresmile & Order Tab Master file name of scan now cannot be changed Previously, it was possible to change a scan file name on the practice side when the diagnostic or therapeutic model was in a Needs Review state. This overwrote the master file name and led to further issues. Now, you cannot change the master file name, but you can add text behind the name as needed for identification purposes suresmile & Patients Tab Patients tab sort order now retained when you change pages When you sorted the list of patients on the Patients tab by HR, if you clicked a page number at the bottom of the window to move to another page, when you clicked the previous page number, the system reversed the sort order, and you had to sort it again to return to your original sort order suresmile & False conflicts no longer shown False conflicts sometimes were shown after you recalculated stages with attachments suresmile & suresmile & Attachments box no longer obscures the Undo and Redo lists Undoing attachments now works correctly The Attachments box on the 3D treatment workspace page floated on top of the Undo or Redo step lists if these lists were more than a few steps long. We ve adjusted this so that the lists now appear in front of the Attachments box. Undoing the removal of attachments was not working correctly. It has been adjusted so that it now works as expected suresmile & Undo button for multi-group staging plans now works correctly If you removed and added a stage in a multigroup staging aligner treatment plan, and then you clicked the Undo button, nothing happened. 8 Problem Fixes Product/ Explanation suresmile & Changes to movements in Multi-Stage view are now recorded correctly One practice reported that staged model changes in Multi-Stage view on the Displacements tab were not being retained by the system. For example, they would click the up/down arrows to change a movement, but as soon as they clicked off the cell, the value in the cell reverted to its original value. However if you changed to Single Stage view, you could make the changes without any problems. Now the system retains your changes on the Displacements tab while in multi-stage view suresmile & Missing attachments or brackets will now prevent models from printing For a single practice, several attachments were missing on a model that was printed and sent to the practice. This occurred because of the conversion from software release 7.3 to 7.4. We ve adjusted our manufacturing process so that now if an attachment or bracket is missing in the digital files sent for 3D printing, the job will be stopped and the practice will be immediately notified suresmile & suresmile & Update Previous Stages button now updates attachments correctly Comparison Stage drop-down list no longer shows hidden stages If you clicked the Update Previous Stages button and the system automatically inserted additional stages, the system failed to update the attachments correctly. Internal hidden stages were visible in the Comparison Stage drop-down list on the Displacements tab. Listing these hidden stages was unnecessary and confusing, so we removed them from the list. 9 Problem Fixes Product/ Explanation suresmile & Review Staged Models task now removed after you order printed staged models The Review task was not marked as Completed after you ordered printed staged models. This meant that the Review task incorrectly remained listed in your task list. We ve fixed this so that as soon as you order your printed staged models, the task is marked as completed and it is removed from your task list suresmile & Task Reminders Expiration setting for task reminders now works as designed Task reminders were not removed from the Tasks tab when the reminder period expired. Note: You can set the expiration period for task reminders on the Preferences page under the Treatment tab suresmile & Dental Exam Tooth cross diagram now updates automatically when teeth are marked as present or missing When you selected a tooth in the Dental Exam and marked it as present or missing, the tooth cross diagram did not change until the page was refreshed or you pressed the F5 key on your keyboard. We ve fixed this so that now the diagram is updated as soon as you make a change suresmile only / Wire Sequence Orders Bite correction values no longer incorrectly added to global registration values for wires in a wire sequence order For wires in a wire sequence order, the system was incorrectly adding the values from the therapeutic model bite set to the global registration values from the plan. We ve investigated and fixed this problem so that now only the global registration values are included in the wire prescription. DOC Call OraMetrix Customer Care toll free at Page 9 of 11

10 Problem Fixes Product/ Explanation suresmile only / Wire Sequence Orders Wire Sequences now automatically match wire cross section to the patient s bracket slot size If you tried to apply a wire sequence with a wire with a greater cross section than the bracket slots selected for the patient, you received a warning but you could still apply the wire sequence. Now in this situation the system automatically changes the wire cross section to the appropriate cross section. For example, if the patient has.018 bracket slots, and you choose a wire sequence with a.019 x.025 wire cross section, the system will recognize the discrepancy and automatically choose a.017 x.025 wire instead suresmile only / Wires Wire orders are now listed under the correct plan in the timeline Wires ordered for Plan 2 were listed under Plan 1 in the timeline. This has been corrected. Now they are listed under Plan suresmile only / Wires Users no longer forced to find the same wire twice in the timeline when marking it inserted This problem occurred when a user clicked the eye icon on the patient card to expand the timeline and then clicked on a wire or wire sequence order to expand it to show the wire s status and the last changed date. If the user changed the status of one of the wires to Inserted, this immediately expanded all of the other wires or wire sequences listed on the timeline suresmile only / Wires Wire corrections can now be applied for missing teeth Previously, you could not edit the wire overrides for teeth that were present in the reference model but extracted in the setup. We've fixed this. Now if you enter values into the wire-offset cells for the missing teeth, wire corrections are applied. DOC Call OraMetrix Customer Care toll free at Page 10 of 11

11 Known Issues and Workarounds Explanation Workarounds suresmile & Web Browser Flag assignment box not positioned correctly in Firefox web browser The colored flag assignment box on the task page is not positioned correctly in Firefox. No workaround is available. Please use a different web browser Treatment Planning Workspace When creating a plan the wrong image set is displayed even when images are correct in the referenced therapeutic model A practice created a plan based on a new therapeutic model that has a new image set. However, the Plan still shows the previous image set. Change the reference scan to another scan and then change back to the current reference scan to display the correct photos.
