1 These release notes announce the distribution of release 7.3 Commercial Update 3, which includes enhancements and problem fixes since the release of 7.3 Commercial Update 2. Important Note: After every suresmile update, we recommend clearing your browser cache to remove any remnants of the old version to optimize software performance. The steps to follow depend on the browser you are using. The steps show you where you need to be on the page. When you need to enter data -- for example, enter a patient's first name -- the tutorial indicates where on the page to enter the data. Even better, you can enter actual patient data without leaving the tutorial. You perform real work at each step. By the end of the tutorial, you have completed an actual task. 2 How to Use Self Help Tutorials Click to expand the orange Self Help widget on the right side of most pages. The Self Help widget lists tutorials relevant to that page. Click to launch the tutorial you want. Follow the steps as indicated. Enter data or click Next for each step as appropriate. 1. 3 3. Read and follow the instructions on each step. 4. Enter information if instructed by step or click Next to go to next step. Click small x in top right corner to stop tutorial. All data you ve entered so far is saved, but you will need to start the tutorial from the beginning. If you miss a step or enter something incorrectly, try clicking the back button on your browser to find the last step you worked on. 4 IDB bracket height sets defaults simplified Before this release we offered two default bracket height sets, one based on Jig Height measurements, the other on FA Point measurements. We received feedback that most of you choose just one of these measurements for your default bracket height sets. As a result, you find it unnecessary and confusing to be offered two defaults. We ve changed this in this release so that if you had previously selected two default bracket set heights, the system requires you to select just one as your default bracket height set by displaying the dialog box shown here. 5 suresmile only IDB trays - Occlusal rests no longer automatically generated for partially erupted or unerupted teeth When generating IDB trays, suresmile now identifies teeth marked as unerupted on the Dental Exam and ensures that occlusal rests are not generated for these teeth. However, if you wish to specify an occlusal rest on an unerupted tooth, suresmile still allows you to do this. IDB Tray: Adjust orientation for mesial/distal when in Auto Adjust View As requested, we adjusted the orientation of the lower occlusal display when you are adjusting the mesial-distal position of a tooth in an IDB simulation while in Auto Adjust View. The general view direction (axis perpendicular to the screen) has not been changed but we rotated the axis 180 degrees around the viewing axis so that the facial sides of the teeth on the lower arch point towards the bottom of the screen. 6 Terminology clarified on the timeline Terminology on the timeline has been simplified and standardized. Changes Related to Staged Models: Printed staged models are now called Printed Staged Models on the timeline Printed Staged Models can be expanded to show a list individual items in the order, e.g. U (upper) Staged Models and L (lower) Staged Models. The series all printed stages included in the order is listed between brackets, e.g. L Staged Models [1-15] Changes Related to IDB straight wire simulations: After trays are ordered, the IDB simulation can be expanded to open individual items included in this order, e.g. U Printed Tray and/or L Printed Tray The IDB simulation that was used as the base for designing trays will be listed between brackets, e.g., U Printed Tray for [IDB 1] 1 DOC Call OraMetrix Customer Care toll free at Page 6 of 17

7 Changes Related to IDB Setup: IDB Setup 1 is now called IDB Setup 0 After trays are ordered, the IDB Setup 0 can be expanded to open individual items included in this order, e.g., U Printed Tray and/or L Printed Tray. The IDB Setup that is used as the base for designing trays is listed between brackets, e.g., U Printed Tray for [IDB Setup 0] 1. Wire 0 can be expanded to list the initial wires included in this order, e.g., U CuNiTi/NiTi.016 Changes Related to Printed Models: Model Print is now called Printed Models Printed Models can be expanded to open individual items included in this order, e.g., U Model and L Model The Plan or simulation which the printed models represent is listed between brackets, e.g., U Model for [Simulation 1] 1 or U Model for [Plan 1] 1. Wires Wires are no longer listed at the primary level. They are now listed under the referencing model (the Plan) at the secondary level. DOC Call OraMetrix Customer Care toll free at Page 7 of 17

8 Wording simplified on the Export Staged Models dialog box We changed the wording on the Export Staged Models dialog box to: "Please select the models you want to export." We made this change to accommodate those situations when a practice has already ordered staged models from OraMetrix and then wants to export the files again for printing in their lab. In this case, the old wording "Please deselect the models you don't want to be exported:" was confusing because since the models had already been printed, none of the stages were now selected. Resubmitting orascan or CBCT scans now easier Rejected scans can now be resubmitted directly from suresmile. You no longer have to open surescan and click the Finish button. After you have resolved the issue causing the rejection you can now just click the Submit Product button under Submit Order on the model order page in suresmile and the scan will be resubmitted. You no longer have to switch to surescan and click the Finish Scan button before resubmitting the scan. DOC Call OraMetrix Customer Care toll free at Page 8 of 17

9 You can now upload images on the therapeutic model order page for Aligner case types Since the Images are a required prerequisite for Aligner case types, images can now be uploaded on the therapeutic model order page. elemetrix only adjust elemetrix header for multi-site practices The logo and practice link in the elemetrix header has been adjusted for elemetrix multi-site practices. 10 More options when selecting bracket sets and bracket height sets Changes to the Prescription workflow step when ordering an IDB Case package type: When you are ordering an IDB case package, the default bracket height set is now pre-selected in the Select Heights drop-down list on the Prescription step. All of the treating doctor s other pre-defined bracket height sets are still available for selection from the list. The default bracket height set is pre-selected and the height values of the set are shown in the tooth chart. The vertical reference (FA Point or Jig Height) of the selected bracket height set is shown above the tooth chart. If you change the bracket height set, please refresh the screen to update the Vertical Height Reference indicator. For bracket height sets based on a jig height vertical reference, only bracket heights greater than or equal to 0.5 mm can be applied. If a bracket height set has one or more bracket heights which are less than 0.5 mm, the system will automatically increase these heights to 0.5 mm. Option to defer choosing brackets and bracket height set - If you would rather select your brackets and bracket height selections in the treatment planning workspace after the diagnostic model is returned, the Bracket Set and Bracket Height selection lists on the Prescription workflow step can now be left blank. If you do not select your bracket, the Bracket Set and Height dialog box will be shown when you start the IDB Tray Simulation. DOC Call OraMetrix Customer Care toll free at Page 10 of 17

11 Changes to the Bracket Heights dialog box: The default bracket height set is pre-selected separately for the upper and lower arches in the drop down lists. 12 Problem Fixes Here is a comprehensive list of problems reported and fixed since the last release. ID Affected Area Headline Explanation Credit Card Billing Credit Card Billing Receipts now account for multiple practice sites Credit card billing glitch corrected Now credit card receipts will be sent to the assigned site for the patient. A practice reported that they changed the credit card to be charged but it was billed on the first card. This happened due to a Firefox bug and has been corrected elemetrix Correct task now shown for Advanced Diagnostic case packages Instead of the Analyze Records task, a Create Setup task was shown when a therapeutic model that was part of an Advanced Diagnostic case package was returned to a practice. This has been corrected elemetrix credit card billing Errors associated with updating current card on file corrected Practices could not place orders if there was only one credit card listed and the credit card was not selected as a default credit card , elemetrix credit card billing More descriptive messages now presented when a credit card is declined When a credit card was declined during an elemetrix order, the software reported a general error that charge request was "unprocessable" Since this was not helpful, we have added more details to the message elemetrix IDB Entering values in the Bracket Placement tab now moves brackets at normal rate elemetrix IDB IDB tray charges corrected ordered 1 arch incurred a charge of 2 arches If you edited or entered values in the tooth table on the Bracket Placement tab, it took a long time for the brackets to move. We have fixed this. Now brackets more almost immediately. An order for one arch only incorrectly incurred a charge for two arches. This has been corrected elemetrix order processing elemetrix: unable to advance steps to complete package order For one elemetrix patient the user was unable to advance steps to complete the package order. For elemetrix practices we don t have an option to upload a treatment card, therefore the "Provide treatment card" task did not make sense. We adjusted this by removing it elemetrix Task Management Task to review aligner setup now generated at right time The review task for an Aligner Setup was generated too early and was displayed only under the Reminder filter. This has been corrected. It is now first displayed when shipped by the DL and when the review filter is selected elemetrix: Product Notes Product notes now correct Sending notes to the DL incorrectly caused duplicate entries in the product notes. This has been corrected Final Model You can now submit a CBCT scan with STL supplemental data and order a final model IDB FA point based bracket height sets are no longer automatically set to zero if they contain numbers IDB suresmile Standard w/idb Setup case: Now possible to use the Treatment Simulation for a setup modification wire Under certain circumstances it was not possible to submit a Final CBCT w/ STL dat. This has been corrected. When creating a new IDB Tray Simulation the FA point based Bracket Height sets were set to zero even when they contained numbers (i.e. offset values). This has been corrected. It was not possible to use the Treatment Simulation for a setup modification wire for IDB Case Bundles. This has been corrected. 14 ID Affected Area Headline Explanation Image Composer Image Composer overwrite error corrected Lingual brackets lingual brackets no longer jump to labial side when using jig height navigation MACROS MACROS instructions now transmitted correctly to the DL Ordering A la carte products can again be ordered independently from bundles Under certain circumstances, it is possible for Image Composer to overwrite an already imported image with a different image of the same set having the same type designation. This has been corrected. It was reported that the lingual brackets in a treatment simulation jumped to the labial side when changing the jig height via bracket placement tab. This has been corrected. No MACROS instructions were being transmitted to the DL. We have fixed this problem. After a practice had finished a case with a Standard w/ IDB bundle, they tried to order a CBCT Therapeutic 2 a la carte, but they were only able to apply IDB brackets. They could not order the second therapeutic model, since the software expected supplemental data to satisfy gingiva requirements. This is not correct. An a la carte product should always be independent from any bundles ordered. We have fixed this Shipments tab Shipments tab pagination is now correct Staged models Staged Models numbering no longer incorrectly incremented The Shipments tab pagination was incorrect when wires were hidden due to being marked as unused. This has been corrected. One practice reported that the Staged models numbering was incremented by a single digit. This has been corrected. 15 ID Affected Area Headline Explanation Supplemental Scans Supplemental data is now recognized correctly for converted CBCT scans A therapeutic CBCT scan was converted to a supplemental scan at the DL, then rejected for the practice to select supplemental teeth. In surescan, the practice marked the Upper Gingiva checkbox and the LR7, LL7 to be modeled as supplemental teeth, then resubmitted the case from suresmile. At the DL the marked supplemental teeth were not recognized and the supplemental data was still named Upper Jaw, Lower Jaw. This has been corrected surescan "Deliver as Finished" option now only in suresmile When a user unchecked the "Deliver as Finished" check box on surescan, the same option did not get updated on suresmile even if the user refreshed their browser. We have fixed this by removing this check box in surescan and allowing the practice to only make changes in suresmile suresmile MACROS MACROS steps Archform and Class now show correct supplemental Images Doctor contacted Customer Care stating that the incorrect Images are being displayed when the Archform and Class step of the MACROS is selected. This has been adjusted System Negative values no longer automatically changed to positive values When a negative value is typed in e.g., -.2, the software converted it to a positive value. This has been corrected Treatment Planning Treatment Planning Overjet calculation now based on tooth surfaces instead of cusp tips Automatic settings for display of gingiva now correct In 7.2, the overjet calculation was based on a calculation of the real distance between tooth surfaces. The 7.3 calculation was based on cusp tips. This is less informative, as most doctors want to know if there is contact or gap, and how big the gap is. We have corrected this so that it now works as in 7.2 The gingiva was always displayed by default. This has been corrected: Gingiva display default is OFF for suresmile customers). You only saw the negative sign and the first digit of the number. This has been adjusted. One practice double-clicked a link and inadvertently submitted two orders submitted for the same staged models. We have adjusted the software interface to prevent this from reoccurring.
