3 1 System summary Installing the Serverless On-Demand Print kit to a multifunction machine, your own jobs can be outputted in another multifunction machine, even when the multifunction machine of the output destination is in use. - 3-

4 2 Required products, options, and settings The followings are options of a multifunction machine, required for installing the Serverless On-Demand Print. Model ApeosPort-V C7775/C6675/C5575/C4475/C3375/C2275 DocuCentre-V C7775/C6675/C5575/C4475/C3375/C If firmware is V1.x, please upgrade after V1.1.3/ V T2 model of a software key is also the same. ApeosPort-V C7780/C6680/C5580 DocuCentre- V C7780/C6680/C If firmware is V1.x, please upgrade after V T2 model of a software key is also the same. Versant 80 Press firmware V1.0.xx (DMP-XI-1c) Required options FHFXRCSPUKKS@ (charge-free software key) + UUOTKEEMSLSK@ (XCP plug-in software key) NVJLHLNMCMFD@ (charge-free software key) + UILCCWLJCLAE@ (XCP plug-in software key) OTPCJMSDBYIG@ (charge-free software key) + IZRLOFMDOFIF@ (XCP plug-in software key) * After V5 cannot be used in the DMPX supported machines. For DMP-X machines, please use V3. For installation of the Serverless On-Demand Print, the following settings are required. Multifunction machines can communicate mutually via TCP/IP. Local Accounts or Remote Accounts is specified in a multifunction machine. In Local Accounts, the same users are registered between multifunction machines. Additionally, each password matches. Setting of language is same between multifunction machines. (For example, English is specified in all machines) Specified the setting enabling the private print. Setting of time is same between multifunction machines. (There must not be any difference of 120 minutes or more.) Upgraded more than the version which needs firmware. (Refer to the above table for the firmware of each model.) - 4-

5 3 Installation procedure summary Implement the installation work in the following turn. 1. Input the free software key. 2. Setting of a private print drawing system and change the permitted limits for the clock time lags among the machines. 3. Enable IPP, to specify the IPP spool settings. 4. Verify authentication, private print, and gateway proxy settings. 5. Enable XCP plug-in. 6. Install the custom service. 7. Register other multifunction machines. 8. Affixing the printer setting seal. 9. Operation confirming. - 5-

6 4 Details of installation procedure Use the following procedure, to install. 4.1 Input of the free software key 1. Log in the Tools mode or CE mode from the panel of a multifunction machine. 2. Use [Tools] > [Common Service Settings] >[Maintenance/Diagnostics], to select [Software Options]. 3. Input a software key. 4.2 Setting of a private print drawing system and change the permitted limits for the clock time lags among the machines 1. Enter CE mode and use [Tools] > [Common Service Settings] > [Maintenance/Diagnostics], to select [NVM Read/Write]. When you use an IC card, check that 2. 7 <Change the permitted limit for the clock time lag among the machines> Change the following chain link to expand the permitted limit for the clock time lag among the machines : 3-> 120 If the clock time differ more than 3 minutes among the machines, job information cannot be retrieved properly. By changing the above chain link, this permitted limit will be expanded to 120 minutes. *Change this setting to all machines which are using the Server-less On-Demand Print. 4.3 Enable IPP, to specify the IPP spool settings 1. Use [Tools] > [Connectivity & Network Setup] > [Port Settings], to select [IPP]. Modify into [Enabled]. 2. Use [Tools] > [Print Service Settings] > [Allocate Memory], to select [Receiving buffer - IPP]. Modify into [Spool to Hard Disk]. 4.4 Verify authentication, private print, and gateway proxy settings. 1. Use [Authentication / security setting] > [Authentication] > [Charge/Private Print Settings], to select [Receive Control]. Check to see that the [According to Print Auditron] or [Save as Private Charge Print Job] is specified. Additionally, check that the [Job Login Success] item is specified as [Save as Private Charge Print Job] when specifying the [According to Print Auditron]. 2. Select [V5 (new version)] (for Serverless On-Demand Print V5), or [V4 (new version)] (for Serverless On-Demand Print V3) by clicking [Tools]>[Web Browser Setup]>[Web Applications Version]. Furthermore, select [Yes] with [Clear Cache Upon Closing]. 3. Use [Tools] > [Connectivity & Network Setup] >, to select [Proxy Server Settings]. When [Use of a proxy server] is [Yes], check that a local host is included in the [Address to Bypass Proxy Server]. When [Use of a proxy server] is [No], any kind of value may be applicable to the [Address to Bypass Proxy Server]. 4. Check and properly set the time in the multifunction machine. (A document list cannot be retrieved from the remote terminal if three minutes or more time difference exists in the multifunction machine.) 5. Reboot a multifunction machine. 4.5 Enable XCP plug-in 1. Connect to the targeted MFD by CWIS. 2. Select the [Properties] tab. If the user ID and password are required, enter System Administrator ID and Password, and then click [OK.] 3. Place a checkmark with [Enable] in the checkbox of [Embedded plug-in feature] on [Plug-in / Custom ServiceSettings] and then hold down [Apply.] * The setting will be enabled by entering the above-mentioned XCP Plug-in or Custom Service/ XCP Plug-in common software key. - 7-

8 4. Reboot the MFD by following the command by CWIS. - 8-

9 4.6 Installing the custom service 1. Modify the IP address of PSW so that it may be the same network number as that of a multifunction machine. Example: When the IP address of a multifunction machine is " ", and a subnet mask is ", Modify the IP address of PSW into " xxx" (except 100). 2. Use a UTP cross cable, to connect a multifunction machine with PSW. 3. Execute the custom service installer on PSW. Follow the installer's prompts, to type in a multifunction machine's IP address, the Administrator ID, and the Administrator password. Displayed a custom service name [private print], when executing the custom service installer. Type in an IP address and click Next. Type in the Administrator ID and Administrator password and click Next. The Activation Key screen appears. Click on the [Browse] button and browse to your ActivationKey_xxxx.CSV file. Click Next to install. - 9-

10 completion screen appears when the installation is successful. Press [Finish], to exit the installer. * Only in IPv6 customer environment, installation is impossible. In such a case, change [Connectivity & Network Setup] > [Protocol Settings] > [TCP/IP IP Mode] into a [Dual Stack] temporarily. Specify the address of IPv4 and return to the original setting after installation

On a screen, type in the IP address or host name of a multifunction machine (remote machine) of a reference destination. 3. Log out.

11 4.7 Registering the multifunction machine (remote machine) of the reference destination 1. Log in the Tools mode from panel UI of a multifunction machine, to execute the Serverless On-Demand Print custom service from the menu of a multifunction machine. 2. On a screen, type in the IP address or host name of a multifunction machine (remote machine) of a reference destination. 3. Log out. Note Customer can create remote machine connection setup information using a "Server-less On-Demand Print Setup Tool." Please choose a "When Using [Private Charge Print (Network)] "menu, if it makes the configuration file used by this version. Check that it is possible to print the document transmitted by (1). In the case where "Setup incomplete" message appears on the control panel, perform setup, as the setup screen will appear by entering System Administrator screen and tapping the Serverless On-Demand Print (private print) icon. (only for Serverless On-Demand Print V5) Furthermore, in the case where messages such as a machine internal error occurs appear, check the procedures 4.2 to 4.6. In addition, if Serverless On-Demand Print is not activated due to other reasons than those mentioned above, check whether remote access version in the Web browser setting is properly selected. In the case where the message that a document list cannot be retrieved is displayed on the screen information and the documents saved in the machines other than yours cannot be displayed, check the clocks in each multifunction machine. Document list retrieval fails when there is a time error of three minutes or more in the communicating multifunction machines

When typing in the Administrator ID and the Administrator password, the installation situation appears in the confirmation screen. Select [Delete], to go to the next screen. The delete message appears again in the confirmation screen. When proceeding to the next screen, the custom service is deleted from a multifunction machine
