1 ip-viewer Tool instruction manual ip-viewer Tool This is a software tool to create material to give a presentation without having a PC but using the intelligent projector (hereinafter called ip ). The types of file that can be used with this tool are the ones in the formats of Microsoft PowerPoint, JPEG, WMF and PNG. By storing the data created by this tool in the SD memory card, a presentation can be given without having a PC but using the ip. Operational conditions For normal operation of the ip-viewer Tool, a computer satisfying the following conditions will be required. OS Compatibility Windows 2000 Professional(SP3 or more) Windows XP CPU Memory Windows Vista (64-bit version excluded) Celeron 800MHz or better. (In the case of Windows Vista, the CPU as recommended by the OS.) Windows 2000:256 MB or more Windows XP:256 MB or more HD empty space Windows Vista:1 GB or more 500MB or more recommended. (Drive free space for the ip-viewertool.exe file) Compatible projector model number ip-40se Note: Regarding the SD memory card to be used with the ip, we guarantee the operation only with the device as listed in our optional items list (Model No. AV-SDSDC1GB). We do not guarantee the operation when other SD memory card is used. This tool is not compatible with the SD memory card of SDHC standards and the high speed SD memory card (Class6). How to install the tool Decompress the downloaded compressed file, and transfer the folder after decompression to the hard disk. Do not execute the software at the network folder stage. 1

2 Material creation procedure 1. When ip-viewertool.exe in the ip-viewertool folder is executed, the software will start Description of each button No. Button name Function 1 Read The file will be read. The compatible files are PPT, PPTX, JPG, WMF and PNG. 2 Rearrage the order The position of the image which the cursor is pointing at is rearranged. The [<-Prev] button will substitute the image with the previous image. The [Next->] button will substitute the image with the next image. 3 Delete The image which the cursor is pointing at will be deleted. 4 Save The displayed image will be saved. 5 Exit The application will be ended. 2

3 * In case the free space in the hard disk is not sufficient. When the free space of the hard disk where the ip-viewer Tool folder exists is not sufficient or when there is a failure of the hard disk, a message will be displayed. (The message will be displayed when the application is started or when the file is read.) <When the available hard disk free space is 500MB or less> The software can be used by clicking on the [OK] button. However, if a lot of material is registered, it may become inoperable due to the memory free space shortage. <When the available hard disk free space is 100MB or less> When [Yes] is selected, the screen will move on to the saving operation (step 5). (If there is an image data already read.) When [No] is selected, the application will be ended without saving the read image. 2.When [Read](1) button is clicked, [Open] screen will be displayed. 3

4 3.Select the desired image file or the PowerPoint file, and click on the [Open (O)] When the PowerPoint file is selected, [JPEG translation mode] screen will be displayed. Select a horizontally long image or a vertically long image by clicking on the button. The PowerPoint file is converted into JPEG format and then captured. * When handling a PowerPoint file, Microsoft PowerPoint must be previously installed in your PC. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 above, as necessary, for registration. The images are displayed in the order as reproduced by the ip. Click on [<-Prev] or [Next->] button to change the order, and click on [Delete] button to delete unnecessary image. 4

5 5. When [Save] (4) button is clicked, [Title file creation] screen will be displayed. When click on [Yes] button: Then the title file creation screen will be displayed. When click on [No] button: Then [Specify destination for saving] screen will be displayed. Proceed from step 7. When a title file has been created, the title file will be displayed in reduced format when the list of folders inside the SD memory card is displayed by the ip. When a title file has not been created, the first image will be displayed in reduced format. 6. To create a title 6.1 When the background color is desired to be changed, click on button in the [Background select] combo box and select the background color. 5

6 6.2 Click on [Font] button, and set the font to be used. Make the [Font] screen displayed. Select the type, size and color of the font, and click on [OK] button. 6.3 Enter the title The title will be positioned at the center of the title file. The display image is shown on the right hand side. When saving the title file, Title.jpg file will be added and saved. 6.4 Click on [OK] button to enter. Specify destination for saving screen will be displayed. 6

7 7. Select the destination for saving. Select whether to save in SD memory card inserted or connected to your PC or in the PC. If the data is saved in the SD memory card, presentation can be given without using a PC. When a radio button is clicked, the screen will switch to the selected saved screen. When saving the data in the SD memory card: Click on of the combo box and select the drive where the SD memory card is inserted. When saving the data in the PC: (1) Select the condition for the saving. When creating a folder automatically: Put a check mark in the Create a date folder automatically and save box. A folder with a name consisting of year/month/day/hour/minute will be created, and xxxavmpj folder will be created in that folder. (xxx is a three digit number between 500~999) 7

8 (2) Click on [Folder] button. Browse For Folder screen is displayed. Click on the folder to be saved, and click on [OK] button. Browse For Folder screen will be closed. When creating a folder: When [Creation of a new folder (M)] is clicked, a new folder will be created. Enter a folder name, and click on [OK] button. Folder reference screen will be closed. 8. Click on [Save] button. Saving will start and Specify destination for saving screen will be closed. If saving is not successful, select a different save destination. Once the saving is done, overwriting will be made on the same folder unless the save destination is changed. 8

9 ******* NOTICE******* When Save to SD memory card is selected A folder with the name xxavmpj is created within the DCIM folder and images are stored in this folder. ( xxx is a 3-digit number from 500 to 999 assigned automatically in sequential order.) If there is already a file named 999AVMPJ, it is not possible to save the images on the SD memory card. In this case, delete the folder with the high number or move it out of the DCIM folder so that images can be saved on the SD memory card. The images are given the file name MMPJxxxx.jpg ( xxxx being an automatically assigned 4-digit number). When images are stored on the SD memory card, the images on the SD memory card can be displayed by inserting the SD memory card in the projector. When Save to PC is selected A folder with the name xxavmpj is automatically created within the specified folder and images are stored in this folder.( xxx is a 3-digit number from 500 to 999 assigned automatically.) The images are given the file name MMPJxxxx.jpg ( xxxx being an automatically assigned 4-digit number). If The data folder is created and saved [Automatically create dated folder and save] is checked: The folder is given a name corresponding to the date and time ip-viewer Tool was launched. (Ex.: If ip-viewer Tool was launched at 10:10 on January 20, 2008, the folder is named ) To display data stored on the computer with the projector To display the images with the projector, the data must be copied into a specific folder. If there is no folder named DCIM on the SD memory card, create one and copy the data into the xxxavmpj folder within the DCIM folder. If there is already a folder with that name, change the number ( xxx ). Select a number between 500 and 999 immediately following the folder with the largest number. (If there is a folder named 601AVMPJ, name the new folder 602AVMPJ.) If there is a folder with the same number ( xxx ), the files in that folder cannot be displayed with projector. Change the folder name to one with a different number ( xxxavmpj ). 9. When [Exit] (5) button is clicked, the confirmation screen to exit from the application will be displayed. When [OK] button is clicked, the application will be ended. This completes the data creation process. * An image data which has been created by this tool but overwritten by other application cannot be reproduced by the ip. 9
