1 The Cisco Unified CallConnector (Toolbar) enables you to set up and manage your communication sessions from toolbars and various windows Internet Explorer and Outlook. From these interfaces, you can: Make and answer calls Locate your contacts View the availability of other users Send QuickMessages and more Table of Contents Install Unified Call Connector Toolbar...2 Verify Dial Plan...9

2 Install Unified CallConnector Toolbar 1. Before setup can begin, the System Administrator will provide: User Name Password CME IP Address PAK-ID 2. Go to the support site support.tdsmanageduc.com and click CallConnector Download, located in the First Time Set-up section. 3. You can choose either Run or Save. Click Run to install the application. The Cisco Unified CallConnector Client InstallShield Wizard will start automatically. When the pop-up window appears asking you to close any running instances of Internet Explorer and/or Outlook, close the applications and click OK. 2

3 4. The Welcome screen will appear. Click Next. 5. Complete the Customer Information screen by entering: User Name Company Name Address Then click Next. 6. Define User Options: To have CallConnector automatically start at login, check the Start up with Windows box, then click Next. Note: The rest of the fields should remain blank. 3

4 A pop-up window will appear, instructing you to go back and enter your password. Click OK Do not go back, you will enter a password later. 7. Click Next. On the Choose Destination Location screen. A screen will appear showing the installation progress. 8. On the Setup Type screen, select Use PAK-ID or Serial Number for automatic licensing. Then click Next. The rest of the fields should remain blank. 9. On the Activation Utility screen, enter the PAK-ID provided by the System Administrator. Click Activate. If activation is successful, the Result field will say Success. Click Next. You have completed the InstallShield Wizard. Next, we will configure the CallManager Express Setup Wizard. 4

5 10. The Welcome screen will appear. Click Next. If you are using a Cisco IP Communicator (Softphone), complete step 11. If not, click Next on the Mode of Operation screen and continue to step On the Mode of Operation screen, click Advanced. 6

6 Select Call Control for Softphone Application with Media and click OK. Back on the Mode of Operation screen, click Newer Mind. 12. The User Preferences Screen will appear. Click Next. 13. Complete the Account Information screen. You will need to enter: CME IP Address IP Phone User Name IP Phone Password Then click Next. Note: The System Administrator provided the information needed to complete this screen. 7

7 14. The Connections to Cisco Unified CME Screen will verify your computer is able to connect to the System. Click Start. 15. The connection verification was successful if click next to continue is displayed. 8

8 If you receive an error message, click Back and verify the information entered on the Account Information screen is accurate and try again. If you still experience an error, contact your System Administrator for assistance. 16. The Call Appearance/Feature Button screen will appear. Click Next. 17. Click Finish to complete this client installation. A pop-up window will appear, stating the configuration is being saved. Click OK. 18. Click OK in the pop-up window stating the CallManager is being added to the Phone and Modem. 19. Select Yes, I want to restart my computer now. Then click Finish. 9

9 Verify the Dial Plan The Cisco Unified Call Connector client is now installed. After login, the Cisco Unified Call Connector window will appear. Verify the Dial Plan is configured correctly before using the CallConnector. 1. Click the Dial Plan tab and verify the Local Area Code is accurate. 2. Click Windows Dialing Rules. 3. On the Phone and Modem screen, click Edit. On the Edit Location screen, verify/enter the correct Area code in the Area Code Field. Then, enter 9s in the fields: To access an outside line for local calls, dial: To access an outside line for long-distance calls, dial: 4. Click OK. The Installation of your Cisco CallConnector Toolbar is now complete. 10
