BEFORE YOU START You will first need to connect your watch to your PC or Mac.

USB Port On the left side of your watch, remove the center knob. The USB port is here.

Then, connect the other end to a USB port on your PC. Please do not use a hub.

3 BEFORE YOU START You will first need to connect your watch to your PC or Mac. You do not need additional drivers to do this - your PC may install standard drivers when it first connects. This is normal. USB Port On the left side of your watch, remove the center knob. The USB port is here. Plug one end of the included USB cable into the port on your watch. This should go all the way into the watch. Then, connect the other end to a USB port on your PC. Please do not use a hub. In a few moments, your PC will automatically find and install your watch. Your watch will appear as an External Device or Removable Disk. This is how you will access your video, photo and audio files to save them to your PC. This is also how you charge your watch. Charging the first time may take several hours. You may access your files during charging. Page 3

TIME FILE Your Watch (drive letter may vary) You will need to download a file to set the timestamp for your recordings. Go to the product page at www.safetybasement.com.

4 TIME FILE Your Watch (drive letter may vary) You will need to download a file to set the timestamp for your recordings. Go to the product page at Look for the Red TECH SUPPORT tab. You will find the latest manual and the time.txt file. Right-click on the TIME.TXT file and choose SAVE LINK AS. You are going to SAVE the TIME.TXT file to your watch. See photo for proper location. Do not change the file name, it must be TIME.TXT. time.txt file saved in proper location. Note, some users may not see the.txt. This is normal. Page 4

5 TIME FILE You will now set the correct time in the time.txt file. DOUBLE-CLICK (left button) on the TIME.TXT file on your watch. A text editor window will appear. Please adjust the year, month, day, hours, minutes and seconds to the proper time. Please note the punctuation must remain, and there is a space between the date and time. Also note the use of a 24 hour clock. For May 31, 2013 at 1:15pm, it would appear like this: :15:00 When complete, SAVE this file and exit your text editor. You must start your watch for this time to be set. EJECT the watch from your PC as you would any external device. Remove the USB cable from the PC. Remove the USB cable from the watch. Press the B button. The red status light will appear, blink one, then remain steady. Your timestamp is now set. You can test this by taking a photo or video, and reviewing it on your PC. If the timestamp is not correct, please redo the steps in this section of the manual. NOTE: When done correctly, the time.txt file on your watch will be automatically erased. If it s still on your watch, please review the formatting of your timestamp. Page 5

6 RECORDING VIDEO B BUTTON Power / Video Status Light Microphone (shown closed) Camera (see notes!) POWER ON - Press the B button. The red status light will appear, blink once, then remain steady. You are now in Stand By Mode. To record video, from Stand By Mode, press the B button. The red status light will blink once, then go dark. You are now recording video. NOTE: when facing you, as shown above, the camera will record UPSIDE-DOWN. Turn your wrist to face the camera towards your subject. The camera should be located at the top when your wrist is turned. This position will record the image properly. To stop recording, press the B button again. The red status light will appear steady. You are back in Stand By Mode. To turn off your watch, HOLD the B button until the status light goes dark. Note: If you need to RESET your watch, just press the A and B buttons at the same time. Your watch will reset and turn OFF. 7 RECORDING AUDIO ONLY A BUTTON Audio (HOLD) B BUTTON Power Status Light Microphone (shown closed) POWER ON - Press the B button. The red status light will appear, blink once, then remain steady. You are now in Stand By Mode. To record audio only, from Stand By Mode, HOLD the A button. The red status light will blink quickly 2 times then go dark. You are now recording audio only. To stop recording, press the A button again. The red status light will appear steady. You are back in Stand By Mode. To turn off your watch, HOLD the B button until the status light goes dark. 8 TAKING PHOTOS A BUTTON Photo B BUTTON Power Status Light POWER ON - Press the B button. The red status light will appear, blink once, then remain steady. You are now in Stand By Mode. To take a photo, from Stand By Mode, press the A button. The red status light will blink, then stay steady. You just took a picture. NOTE: you should turn your wrist into the proper postion, aim and then press the button. To turn off your watch, HOLD the B button until the status light goes dark. Page 8

9 RETRIEVING YOUR FILES To view your videos and photos, and to listen to your audio recordings, you will need to copy them to your PC first. Make sure your watch is OFF. Then connect the USB cable to it as noted earlier in the manual. Connect the other end to your PC. After a few moments, you can access the files on your watch. Please COPY your files to your PC for best playback. Audio Recordings Photos Videos You may go into the folders noted above to view and copy your files. You may also delete files from these folders. NOTE: Mac users must empty their trash before disconnecting your watch after deleting files. Page 9

MP3 PLAYBACK Your watch can also play MP3 files when using the included earbuds. You will first need to add MP3 files to the correct folder in the watch file directory.

MP3 Files Go Here A BUTTON Next / Volume - Earbuds Port B BUTTON Prev / Volume + Status Light Plug your earbuds into the USB port on the left side of the watch. Press the B button quickly. In a few moments, your music will begin to play. HOLD the B button to make the volume louder. Hold the A button to make it softer. Press the A or B button quickly to move to the next and previous files. Remove the earbuds to return your watch to RECORDING mode. Hold the B button to turn off your watch. Note: Only MP3 files in the Audio folder are available for playback. Page 10
