3 BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE Please charge fully before use. You may charge via your PC or the adapater that may have been included with your device. Do not use other adapters, as they may damange your device. 1. Be sure that the status light is OFF. 2. Plug USB cable into device first. 3. Plus other end of USB directly into your PC. Note: USB hubs may cause your device to not work properly, so always use a direct USB port when charging or accessing your device. NEEDED FILES Please download the TIME.TXT file from our website. Go to your product page, then look at TECH SUPPORT for the latest manual and files. SETTING THE TIME AND DATE 1. The TIME.TXT file that you downloaded from our website needs to be edited to the current date and time. Please follow the format carefully, including all punctuation as noted below. 2. OPEN the TIME.TXT file using a standard text editor, such as NOTEPAD in Windows, or TEXTEDIT on Mac. 3. Please note the format of the date and time in this file. It is; the YEAR in 4 digits, PERIOD, MONTH in 2 digits, PERIOD, DAY in 2 digits, SPACE, HOUR in 2 digits on a 24 hour clock, PERIOD, MINUTES in 2 digits, PERIOD, SECONDS in 2 digits, SPACE, Y or N. The Y or N is used to turn the time and date stamp for your photos and videos ON or OFF. For example, on Janaury 15, 2013 at 5:30pm with time stamp On, the format would be: Y 4. Enter the proper time and date and desired setting for time stamp. SAVE this file. 5. You will now COPY this TIME.TXT file to your watch. 6. Your watch should appear as an external drive when plugged into your Mac or PC. COPY the TIME.TXT file into the root folder of your watch. DO NOT copy this file into any folders that may be shown, just the initial root folder. 7. EJECT the watch from your system as you would any standard external drive. This will allow your watch to properly prepare to be disconnected. 8. Disconnect your watch from your PC. 9. Power on your watch by holding the A button. The status light will turn green while your watch is booting up, then red when it is in video / stand by mode. 10. If your time stamp is not correct, please repeat the steps above.

4 POWER ON 1. Hold the A button until the Green status light appears. Wait for the status light to turn Red. You are now in Stand By / Video Mode. RECORD VIDEO 1. The Red status light is Video Mode. 2. Press A to start recording video. The status light will blink red a few times, then go dark. It is still recording video. 3. To check the status of your watch, press the A button. It will blink Red a few times to show it is still recording. 4. To stop recording, press A to show status, the blinking red lights. Press A again and recording will stop. AUDIO ONLY 1. From Stand By mode, press the B button to switch Modes. 2. Press the B button once and the status light will turn blue. This is Audio Mode. 3. Press A to start recording in Audio mode. The blue status light will blink a few times, then go dark. It is still recording. 4. To check the status of your watch, press the A button. It will blink Blue a few times to show it is still recording audio. 5. To stop recording, press the A button to show status. Press A again and your recording will stop. PHOTOS 1. From Stand By Mode, press the B button to switch Modes. 2. Press the B button until the status light is Green. This is photo mode. 3. Aim the camera, and press the A button to take a photo. The status light will blink. Then you re ready for your next photo. POWER OFF 1. Hold the A button until the status light goes dark.

5 WINDOWS - RETRIEVE YOUR FILES 1. Device must be OFF before connecting to your PC. 2. Connect USB cable to watch first. 3. Connect other end of USB cable to your PC using USB port directly on PC. Note: A USB hub may cause your device to not work properly. 4. Please wait until Windows recognizes your device. This may take several seconds. Note: the first time you connect your device, Windows may install standard drivers. This is normal. 5. Access your device as you would any standard Flash Drive. 6. COPY your files from the device to a folder on your PC. 7. You may now highlight and DELETE the files from your device. 8. Be sure to properly EJECT your device from Windows before unplugging it. MAC OS X - RETRIEVE YOUR FILES 1. Device must be OFF before connecting to your Mac. 2. Connect USB cable to watch first. 3. Connect other end of USB cable to your Mac using USB port directly on Mac. Note: A USB hub may cause your device to not work properly. 4. Please wait until Mac recognizes your device. This may take several seconds. It will mount as a Device in your FINDER. 5. Access device as you would any standard FLASH DRIVE. 6. SPECIAL NOTES TO MAC USERS! 7. To properly save your files to your Mac, MOVE your files, rather than copy. 8. Create a folder on your Mac. 9. Highlight the files on the device. 10. CMD CLICK and drag the files to your folder. Let go and choose MOVE. 11. To properly empty your device on Mac, be sure to Empty your Trash Can before ejecting the device. 12. Be sure to properly EJECT your device from Mac before unplugging it. Thank you! 7 RECOMMENDED SOFTWARE Your Windows PC or Mac has built-in software that will play most of the files created by devices like yours. However, if you are having problems playing your files, please download and try these programs. There are lots of different software packages available. However, we do recommended these basic programs that will suit most people. This software is free and can be downloaded directly from the links below. You can find support and tutorials for these programs on their respective websites. SafetyBasement can not provide software support for these programs As with ANY files you download from the internet, be sure to scan them for viruses using your particular virus scanner. While most users report no issues using this software, we can not be responsible for any damages caused by this software. Please proceed carefully. Back up your PC before installing any new software. VIDEO PLAYBACK - VLC ( The VLC Media Player can play almost any video or audio file type. There is a version for Windows and for Mac OS X. VIDEO EDITING for WINDOWS - MOVIE MAKER 2012 ( Movie Maker is a simple video editing program from Microsoft. Please go to this link, and choose the download for your version of Windows. Please note: Movie Maker is part of the Windows Essentials package that must be installed. VIDEO EDITING for MAC OS X - imovie (Visit the Apple Mac App Store for latest version) imovie is a simple video editing program from Apple. It comes installed with yor new Mac. The latest version is also available at the Mac App Store at additional cost. AUDIO PLAYBACK and EDITING - AUDACITY ( Audacity is a popular audio editing program used by amateurs and professionals to edit simple and complex audio projects. You can use Audacity to convert your audio files to another format, such as MP3. There is a version for Windows and Mac OS X. PHOTOS Your Windows and Mac computers have the ability to do basic editing of photos built in.
