1 is an interactive media system with a screen the size of a wall. Some of the things it can do includes: A Music/Video player. Songs appear on the left, can be sorted by name, artiest, genre, ect there is an adjustable volume, all the regular media player controls, a display of the current song/artist, and a progress bar for how far along it is. The compact version of this is just the top most bar play/stop/forward/back and volume. If the player were to play video, you would see a screen for video underneath the title of the video. There is fullscreen compatibility.

2 also has radio functionality: A small and simple program, the radio gives you a tune option, volume control, and a mute button. Aside form single-person entertainment, also provides various means of communication. The most basic form is a built in telephone A simple phone, it gives you on-screen numbers, call button, cancel button, and an address book button. Other kinds of communication are internet-related: Basic text-chatting,

3 A problem with wall-sized phone compatibility is private calls what if you get a call, but want to take it in another room? When receiving a call, you are prompted with this window: Using transfer call will bring up a list of household walls that you can transfer your call to. Audio chatting,

4 Audio chat shows who is talking (filled-in speaker signifies talking), making it possible to easily know who is saying what in audio chat rooms with more than 2 people. Video chat,

5 If you note, there are text boxes still with Audio and Video chatting, just in case. However, there is an option to turn hide the text. With Video chatting, you can have multiple video chats open with multiple people and can talk to all of them at the same time, or use the config options to display an on/off switch for whoever you re currently talking to. Also included with the Wall are various kinds of organizers, from an address book:

7 Click on a particular day to add notes for that day, There are also local information programs including Local Traffic, Local News, and Local Weather. Open the weather menu and you ll be asked:

8 5-day forecast gets you a simplified version of current weather: While to get a bit more information on the weather, you can choose detailed forecast to get:

9 The difference is really the screen size and current temperature, it s a preference thing. There is are a few clock skins available to you : A simple digital clock,

10 Or an analogue clock. Variations of color and whether or not the numbers show on the analogue clocks are available. You can visit your Bulletin Board and add notes yourself or see notes others have added to it: Aside from Notes, things that can be added to your bulletin board include pictures, videos, voice clips, ect ect. Transferring things to other people is simple as well, if you look on your wall s main screen, you ll find two buttons:

11 The top button is the transfer button. Drag and drop something onto it and it will bring up your address book for you to select everyone you want to send that too. The bottom button brings up the application menu: More applications to come, including a web browser, a skin downloader, a skin creator, application creator, and much more. Speaking of skins, there are a few default:

12 Some skins don t apply to all things. Additionally, when a skin applies to more than one thing, you can choose to not have it apply to some applications. When you select something, it becomes highlighted if the option isn t there, there is no picture for it. One question you might ask yourself, how do I interact with the darn thing?

13 Well, it s quite simple, there are two main ways to interact with. The main way is is a touch screen, so touch it! The other way is a small one-button remote, about twice the width of your average thumb drive and maybe just a little longer in length. provides an on-screen keyboard for typing needs, however it is compatible with wireless USB keyboards as well. With either interaction method, you can drag applications, resize them, open new ones, ect. Minimizing and maximizing applications is simple as well, hover over the top of an application, A bar for closing, minimizing, and maximizing (and for some programs, full screen) programs appears on top of it. A nice feature about the remote is it senses how far away you are from your wall, so it adjusts application size when you start them up. For example, using the touch screen to start the weather application, it would look like this:

15 The nice thing about having a screen the size of is that you can have multiple windows on a single screen and not have to worry much about size. For example, you can have 3 video conversations going, be checking the weather, and watching tv at the same time on the same screen.
