3 What do all the abbreviations stand for? ZIF = Zero Insertion Force No force is encountered when inserting FFC/FPC in the connector LIF = Low Insertion Force Low frictional force is encountered when inserting the FFC/FPC in the connector FPC = Flexible Printed Circuit FFC = Flat Flexible Cable WebEx Training 3

Concept for development: FH31H was developed, using the basic design of the FH28, yet was made smaller in size. 36 Important to remember!!! For applications requiring RoHS compliant parts HRS has gold plated contacts only. In these applications the FPC contact pads must also be gold plated. Connectors with gold plated terminations have Tin plating on metal fittings. HRS has tin-lead contact version as Non-RoHS WebEx Training 36
