Infocaster System Specifications The following table outlines the system requirements for quad-head, dual-head, single-head, and ultra small-form players. 4 Supported for Infocaster Infocaster Creation Stations The creation stations are your design systems, and they must have the same or better hardware configuration as your players do. It is vital to test your content on all player configurations which will receive the content to ensure they perform as expected. Infocaster Manager System Specifications The Infocaster Manager server can be its own machine, or it can reside in the creation station box. Basic minimum specifications for dedicated Infocaster Manager hardware are: CPU RAM Operating System 1 x Intel Xeon 3400 Series 4GB DDR Windows 7 or Windows XP Pro SP2 Additional considerations for Infocaster Manager hardware include the number of players connected to it, how frequently you send updates to the players, and the size of the files being transferred. Consider the following questions: Should Infocaster Manager be its own dedicated system, should it share a system with the creation station, or will you have multiple servers working together? Instead of running Windows 7 or Windows XP Pro SP2, should you run Server 2008 R2 (which is recommended for ten or more players)? How much hard drive space is required to store content? Does the storage need to be fault tolerant or shared between servers? What type and speed of network connection is required to support the connection between Infocaster Manager, players, and peer servers? 2015 Imagine Communications Corp. 5 Supported for Infocaster Supported Output Cards The following output cards are supported by Infocaster. Each card is listed with its physical output ports. Please note that cables and converters will can expand the outputs possible. Consult each card s documentation to learn the types of output they can produce. It is important to specify and test the configurations you choose to ensure they meet your requirements. We cannot guarantee that all possible hardware and cable combinations will work as expected. For full-featured performance, use the Legacy output mode in Infocaster version 4.4 or higher. Nvidia GeForce 430GT / 440GT DVI-I (Dual Link), HDMI, VGA Driver: Driver: This card is no longer available from the manufacturer but is still supported. Output spanning is only supported in Windows XP. All non-matrox cards require a minimum of 512MB onboard graphics memory. Output port types are dependent on the manufacturer s implementation of the chip set. Please confirm the desired ports are available on the specific card you are interested in. 6 Supported for Infocaster TV Output Many cards today do not support native composite or component outputs. Conversion devices are available which take output from VGA, DVI, or HDMI ports and convert it to S-Video, composite, or component output. It is important to specify and test the configurations you choose to ensure they meet your requirements.
