4 ADC Air Client v ADC Air Client v What is in this Release? This provides a summary of the new functionalities, enhancements added, and defects fixed in the ADC Air Client v since the last release (v4.24). This release contains 1 Enhancements and 1 bug fix. Note: These defects and enhancements were tested at both a development level and QA level, and may have been released to one or more customers in the form of a test-release version. Stability Note: ADC system stability changes implemented in the v12.22m and 4.22M maintenance builds have been rolled up into the ADC v12.23/4.23 release. For details see ADC v12.22m/4.22m Maintenance s. IMPORTANT: With Air Client v4.23 and higher the Borland Database Engine (BDE) is not required. (Enhancement: ) IMPORTANT: Support for ADC v11 is dropped with the release of ADC Air Client and Media Client v4.23. ADC Air Client and Media Client v4.23 only work with ADC v12. Minimum Requirements The following are minimum system requirements for ADCv12 Automation system components as of the release of this document. Automation Network Consideration: When using the NEXIO IP driver, to take advantage of the Extended Device Storage Window view on the ADC Clients the NEXIO and the ADC Clients must be on the same LAN. If the NEXIO and ADC Clients are on separate LANs, then only the standard Device Storage Window view is available. Note: Customers supplying or upgrading their own workstation or File Server hardware for automation products must ensure they meet recommended minimum hardware specifications. Please contact automation support for more information. IMPORTANT: Rev-Lock Condition with version 12.21/4.21 release. Implementation of enhancement (Redesign of the List locking mechanism) in Device Server v21.21 has resulted in a rev-lock condition. This requires all software be updated to 12.21/4.21 or higher release levels when upgrading or installing ADC system software. 7 Enhancements Enhancements List of Enhancements The following enhancements were implemented in this release : ADC Air Client Air Flex to keep done events in breakaway list after return This enhancement keeps all the DONE/SKIPPED/PREEMPTED events in the Breakaway list after doing a return (JIP). This allows operators to see what spots did NOT air while running the breakaway, select the ones that are needed as "make good", and paste them back to the on air Transmission List. Operation Process 1. Customer opens breakaway panel and selects Immediate to breakaway 2. The on air list is moved to the breakaway and replaced with the selected sequence When moving an event from the air to the breakaway list, all events are deleted beforehand on the breakaway. This ensures old DONE events are removed before the next breakaway. 3. Breakaway runs for several minutes covering few commercials breaks 4. The breakaway list shows all the DONE events 5. Click JIP 6. NOT DONE events are moved back to the Transmission List. While this is happening DONE events are not removed, but remain in the Breakaway list. 7. 8 Defects Fixed Defects Fixed List of Defects The following defects were fixed in this release. Defect ID Description A Black frame randomly appears on the Air Client. To get rid of it, the operator temporarily changes the size of the Transmission list window. This has been addressed by the implementation of the Dev Express upgrade. 9 Known Issues Known Issues List of Known Issues The following list contains known P1 and P2 issues in this release. Defect ID Description ADC Air Client OCP list selection problems. The OCP panel is NOT consistent as regards the PLAY button showing flashing or solid red to indicate the list play status. - If a list is selected via the buttons on the OCP panel, the PLAY button indicates correctly. - If a list is clicked on the screen with the mouse, the PLAY button remains green (does not display status). - If a list is selected via the OCP, then the list is changed on the screen via CTRL-TAB, the PLAY button will indicate correctly only for the list that was originally selected via the OCP If Timecode is set to PAL, it is possible to insert list with incorrect duration In Air Client and Media Client the Error log is not by time Air Client list locking problems cause Done Count to grow across multiple lists. - Manually rippling times (Alt-U) locks the playlist indefinitely and then the Done Count grows. If the Air Client is displaying unacknowledged ERRORs in the Status bar at the bottom of the screen, it is more likely that the List Locking will occur. - Also, the Done Count gets set to 0 and it cannot be changed via the configuration on the Air Client. The Done Count can be changed via the Configuration Tool. Recommend: Clear ERRORS by using the F4 button, before doing a manual ripple (Alt-M). About Done Count and Device Server v11/v12: The list lock mechanism was redesigned in Device Server v12.21 Air Client v4.21 and later disables the Done Count value setting when the list is locked to prevent a user from manual list unlocking. Currently Air Client shows a nominal (non-zero) done count value in disabled state. When working with Device Server v11, Air Client v4 shows 0 in disabled done count value component. 10 Known Issues Defect ID Description redesigned in Device Server v11, Air Client v4.21 and later works with Device Server v11 according to old algorithm. Therefore, such behavior is permissible. IMPORTANT: Support for ADC v11 is dropped with the release of ADC Air Client v4.23. ADC Air Client v4.23 only works with ADC v Duplicate Titles are displayed in Air Client and Media Client device storage windows for Clips from Record Lists that have similar ID s (e.g. FLY2, FLY20, FLY200) As-run log contains an incorrect duration when the Protect Pool Device was triggered Breakaway: Incorrect color of missed secondary events in a Breakaway list Changing % value in Air Client v4 affects Modifier and Source fields of the Keyer ON/OFF and Transition Key secondary An incorrect status of the On-Air device is displayed from the Backup server. Events play with OFFLINE device status Verifying the list against the database is very slow In Air Client the confirm event edition popup disappears if it is acknowledged by using <enter>, causing list to remain locked A user can control the Operator Control panel under "Default" login Invalid durations are created and displayed for Secondary Recordings made with Air Client Air Client Playlists and Pull Lists report every segment after 13 as missing or NotMade, even when the media and the database exist Sometimes the Calculate Duration button starts to blink preventing an operator from using hotkeys, such as Delete, Ctrl+c, and Ctrl+v. Workaround: 1) Restart Air Client, 2) Change focus between lists Copying/Pasting does not work if the title field of a playlist had previously been copied The Device Status window is opening outside the visible area Copy/Pasting fails if using Resource List in multi-servers mode. The Ribbon buttons begin to blink and copying does not work With Air Client operating in multi-server mode, an Access violation occurs if one of Device Server v12 crashes when Resources List is opened When viewing 2 or more transmission list from 1 Air Client, selecting <FILE>+<Save Playlist AS>, and then entering a new playlist name, this 2015 Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 7-August-2015 Page 10 of 12

11 Known Issues Defect ID Description new playlist name appears on the bottom bar of all opened transmission lists Hide Some Secondaries doesn't take the Keys into account A Database search using "Contains" cannot be cancelled The "Adjust duration" function calculates DUR incorrectly if SOM in the database doesn't match the SOM in the Playlist An Access Violation appears after pressing Shift+F10 when the Device Storage is opened Customer reports that after appending a playlist (from Broadcast Master Traffic system), occasionally they will find a single event in the appended playlist that has had its ID truncated to 8-characters and its Title truncated to 16-characters 'List Index Out Of Bounds' error appears when scrolling through a list while deleting clips from storage When using <F4> to review errors in the error log only the first error message and then the last error message, omitting all the messages between After opening a lost and double clicking to Events, the Events Menu options become inactive Occasionally Air Client hangs when attempting to open an off-line list Air Client doesn t provide a notification when the database fails During normal operations, with no operator interaction, Air Client generated and Access violation Customer reports that on their GMT List a color scheme specified for secondary events are being applied to the primary event Offline List opening takes too much time. The task takes in about 1 minute on fast PC and a few minutes on a slow PC All operations (from offline list to transmission, etc.) inserting a large number of events (e.g events) take too much time: seconds and more When appending a Transmission List, instead of appending all events the list gets truncated, resulting in missing events Air Client generates an Access Violation when reconnecting to a Device Server After disconnecting then reconnecting to the Database, on inserting an 2015 Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 7-August-2015 Page 11 of 12

But it is possible to found this with Robust DB Search An incorrect segment number is displayed after dragging/dropping a segment from the database for a clip that contains non-program segments In a Breakaway scenario, the current AO event returns incorrectly from the Breakaway list using the JIP Event button. The Hard Start flag should be cleared and Time should be changed, but they are not Air Client generates errors when connected to customer Databases that are not named ASDB The On-line list does not update events data after a Replace All operation AirFlex: Rejoin doesn't work if a keyer is OnAir. Return from Breakaway only happens after a return event Function "Adjust Duration" doesn't work if option "Update Events with valid SOMs" is disabled Adjust Duration option working incorrectly. When changing the SOM and duration, and then trying to change the SOM again, the duration is incorrectly calculated The Air Client INI file is corrupted when using FlexSync "lstdup.bin" Imagine Communications Proprietary and Confidential 7-August-2015 Page 12 of 12
