Farmington Hills, MI Tel: (248) Fax: (248) I am pleased to announce that effective April 1st of this year, NTN has assumed responsibility of promoting the SNR brand into the industrial OEM and aftermarket channels in the United States. SNR is the largest bearing company in France, the 2nd largest automotive bearing supplier in Europe and the 8th largest bearing company in the world. NTN s acquisition of SNR results in the 3rd largest bearing company in the world with 10 manufacturing plants in North America, 11 plants in Europe, 19 plants in Asia and over 21,000 employees. Uniting forces creates a world leader in bearings with the widest range of ball and roller bearings in the industry. The addition of 10 SNR employees and a realignment of our sales force creates additional smaller territories that will enable our team to spend more time with distributors as well as end users. Better coverage translates into better service. For the aftermarket channel in the United States, we are especially excited to be offering SNR s Premier spherical roller bearings and MachLine machine tool bearings. The SNR Premier line is one of the most advanced spherical roller bearing designs on the market, with symmetric roller design and the highest load ratings in the industry. Premier spherical roller bearings are produced in the ICSA Plant in Torino, Italy. This plant not only produces product for SNR, but using SNR s advanced design, also produces and brands product for other tier-one bearing manufacturers. So even if you have not used the SNR Premier brand, there s a good chance you ve already been successful at selling or using this product through a bearing supplier that acquires product from the ICSA facility. SNR s MachLine angular contact bearings include the very popular ball-riding phenolic retainer. MachLine is a high-precision, high-quality, advanced design of machine tool bearings that are well respected and prominently used by the leading machine tool manufacturers in Europe. The MachLine from SNR, combined with the excellent precision machine tool bearings that NTN already manufacturers, will allow us to provide excellent support and coverage of your machine tool bearing needs. 2 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS NTN LAUNCHES IMPROVED ON-LINE ORDERING SYSTEM FOR AUTHORIZED INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTORS What does the SNR acquisition mean to me? NTN will continue to offer the same great products and service. The acquisition of SNR allows us to expand our product offering and better serve our customers. NTN will complement our product line as well as improve availability with our expanded global manufacturing base. What will happen to the SNR brand? The SNR brand name carries a great reputation as a manufacturer of quality bearings. Like our other North American brands Bower and BCA NTN will continue to use the SNR brand for selected products including Premier and MachLine machine tool bearings. Will the acquisition affect pricing of NTN or SNR bearings? List pricing will not be signi cantly affected. However, minor price adjustments were necessary to align SNR with NTN. Who will be selling SNR products? SNR is fully integrated with NTN, and all NTN sales reps will be selling SNR product in addition to NTN, Bower and BCA. What happened to my SNR rep? The SNR sales representatives were brought into NTN s sales force. You ll read more about this later in the newsletter. From where will SNR products be shipped? NTN will continue to ship most of our products from our Norcross, GA facility currently in use today. Additionally, some product will ship from SNR s existing warehouse in Smyrna, GA. Over time, inventory will be consolidated into the Norcross facility. How do I place orders for NTN and/or SNR products? The NTN order process will remain the same. Orders for SNR product will be placed just like orders for NTN product. Use the NTN or SNR part number to place an order. Will there be any differences in the order process on DOL (Distributor OnLine)? An additional stock location was added to DOL to re ect stock in the Smyrna warehouse. Order from this warehouse just as you would from our Norcross or Chicago warehouses. Developed by the NTN Six Sigma Team with the aid of valuable distributor feedback, the updated DOL system has been designed to help enhance your on-line ordering experience. Multiple shopping carts give you the ability to save orders in progress and come back later to place them. Easily created address books allow you to store your customer information so frequently used shipping addresses are always at your ngertips. Watch lists allow you to track inventory and receive noti cation when it arrives. Please note that if you haven t already, you will need to re-register for the new DOL. This allows each user to have his or her own unique account. To gain access to the new DOL system or register for an Authorized NTN Distributor password visit: ntndol.com. NEW FEATURES ADDED: Thinking of an IDEAL on-line ordering system, users were asked to rate the importance of several features: Shows when backordered parts will have 1 stock available Shows the tracking number for each 2 package on an order. Ability to interchange part numbers between 3 manufacturers. 4 Shows net pricing when available. Saves my most frequently used/most 5 recently used/favorites addresses. It provides a quick reference guide of NTN 6 nomenclature. It will my login and/or password if I 7 forget it. 8 Shows part weight. 9 Saves my UPS/FedEx number. 10 Automatically s me when my order moves to the next stage.

NTN was able to transition six salesmen, a Market Manager, an Engineering Supervisor, a Customer Service Representative and an Inventory Planner into the NTN organization. As part of NTN, they will be responsible for representing all products sold under the NTN name - NTN, SNR, BCA and Bower. They bring combined experience of over 125 years in the bearing industry and we re pleased to welcome them into the NTN family.
