2 Beta Testing: Test your titles before unveiling to consumers! [Note* - Red lines are optional description that might apply to first release. Green lines are description that needs double confirmation.] Beta testing feature provides you a way to test your titles before public release. You can check build performance, qualities of storefront assets and invite test users to join the testing. Before You Start: Make sure you have registered a Viveport developer account for accessing Viveport developer console, You also need to install the following clients to run beta testing, Viveport Software (for PC title):

3 Create a Beta Release Step 1: Use Add new title button to create a new title. Name your new title and select the target platform. Beta testing feature currently only supports Vive titles. Step 2: Complete submission information. Before releasing your title, there are required information that need to be provided. Required fields are marked with the symbols or or both. means it is a required field for beta testing. On the other hand, means it is required for production release. Tip: To quickly find what required fields are missing, you can go to the Submit tab. Choose a destination for this submission. You will see a checklist for submission readiness. Click Fix to jump to the relevant tab and fill in the required fields.

4 Step 3: Create beta release from Submit tab. After filling in the required fields, click the Create Beta Release button in the Submit tab.

5 You will see the pop- out box below if there are missing required information in your submission. Click Fix to jump to the relevant tab and fill in the required fields.

6 Understand Beta Release Statuses After creating your beta release, there are three places for you to find your released title. Deploying to Beta Find this status tab from My Content> Manage> Workspace> Deploying to Beta. There are two cases for a title to be placed under this tab: 1. Title is under deployment to beta environment: it usually takes some time before you can download your beta release from Viveport Software (based on your binary size). For this status, you can only view the release information. 2. Wrapper failed during deployment: deployment is unsuccessful. Click Edit to do adjustment and submit again. Tip: Make sure your.exe binary path is correct; you may refer to the Viveport Submission Guide under Binary Build Section ( guide- vive). Published Find this status tab from My Content> Manage> Live> Published. A title under this tab has been status from the released to either the beta environment or the production environment. Check Status to see the release environment. For the beta environment, test users can download and launch it from Viveport Software. You can update (edit), unpublish and release beta version to production from here. Jump to update/ unpublish/ release beta version to production section for more details.

7 Unpublished Find this status tab from My Content> Manage> Live> Unpublished. A title under this tab is not available for users. For beta testing, you can update (edit), release beta version to production and delete beta version from here. Jump to update/ unpublish/ release beta version to production section for more details. Install & Launch Beta Version from Viveport Software. After your title has been successfully released to beta environment, open Viveport Software ( ) and log in to your authorized HTC Account. If you haven t installed the title before, the title will start to download automatically when you open the Viveport Software. Otherwise, you can start downloading from Library> Downloads. Beta title will be marked as below. Once you have installed the beta title, you can launch/ update it from Library> MyContent, as long as it has been released to the beta environment.

8 Update/ Unpublish/ Release Beta Version to Production Update You can update a published as well as unpublished beta title. Go to My Content> Manage> Live> Published, click the menu button to see the drop- down menu and choose Edit. After completing editing, go to Submit and click Create Beta Release. The previous beta version will be replaced after the new version has deployed successfully. Unpublish To unpublish your released beta version, go to My Content> Manage> Live> Published, click the menu button to see the drop- down menu and choose Unpublish. Your title will then be relocated under My Content> Manage> Live> Unpublished tab. Release to Production You can release your published as well as unpublished beta title to production. Go to My Content> Manage> Live> Published or My Content> Manage> Live> Published, click the menu button to see the drop- down menu and choose Release to production. If you have filled in all the required information for a production release, the title will be relocated to My Content> Manage> Workspace> Under Review. Production release titles will first undergo a review by the Viveport content team before being published to Viveport. If you there is any required information missing for a production release, use the Fix button on the submission check list to fill in the fields. Click Create Production Release again to complete the submission. Important: Do not add a new experience if you want to release a title to production that has a beta version. Adding a new experience means a new App ID & key for you to use in your build.
