7 1& Introduction& CREMA Cloud&basedRapidElasticMAnufacturing isaprojectfundedbythehorizon 2020ProgrammeoftheEuropeanCommissionunderGrantAgreementNo Within this deliverable, the consensus on the basic and common understanding of the activities to be carried out in the project is justified and presented. For this, a general scenario, research and technology opportunities, business innovation, post&project commercialisation,stakeholdersandthevisionenablersforthecommonunderstandingof theprojectwillbedefined. 1.1& CREMA&Project&Overview& CREMAaimsatsimplifyingtheestablishment,management,adaptation,andmonitoringof dynamic, cross&organisational manufacturing processes following Cloud manufacturing principles.cremawillalsoprovidethemeanstointegratedatafromdistributedlocations as if the complete manufacturing was carried out on the same shop floor, by integrating extra&andinter&plantmanufacturingassetsandmakingthem mobile. CREMA will be built upon concepts and methods from the fields of Virtual Factories, Service&orientedComputing,UbiquitousComputing,Cyber&PhysicalSystems,theInternet of Things and the Internet of Services, and naturally and most importantly Cloud computing. Of course these followers cannot be consideredrelevantaudience,butstartingfromacertainhighernumberoffollowersisstill seen as an advantage instead of beginning with 0 followers.
