1 Overview of NM Interactive (NMI) Overview of NMI Home Page The NMI home page provides tools to support your work, such as clinical applications and reference tools, connect you with important, such as policies and procedures, announces campus- wide alerts and presents newsworthy events or happenings. When you open up Internet Explorer or double- click on the desktop, the NMI home page appears. NMI Home Page Main Features Title Bar: Contains NM Interactive logo. When this logo is clicked on ANY intranet page, you are returned to the NMI home page. Policies and Procedures: Access this drop down menu to review NM policies. icon on your PC s Purple Pages: Search in Purple Pages (NM directory) for a person or department. My Links: Lists links to most used applications. You can customize this list to make it specific to your needs. Applications Menu: Provides access to the applications and tools you need to do your job, organized by region. Departments Menu: Provides access to the appropriate department page based on organization. Login function: Enter your NMI username and password and click on the Login button to log in to My NMI. My NMI is your own customized portal page. Search Tool: Search for particular in NMI. Banner Pane: Shows headlines of broad organizational interest. Physician Links: Provides access to current issue of Medical Staff Minutes, schedules, Dr Home (West Region) and Feinberg School of Medicine (FSM). News: Provides access to NM news and features. System Initiatives: Provides access to pages for projects or departments that impact the whole system. Feedback: Links to submit a question or comments about NM and article ideas for Connections. Impact Every Day: Share your story on how your work made a positive impact at NM or in the community. Leadership Updates: Messages about NM and NM leadership. Events and Programs: Upcoming events and celebrations throughout the system. Annual Goal Performance: Current status of the fiscal year workforce goals. Social Media: Connect to NM on various social media tools. NMI 2.1 1

2 Overview of NM Interactive (NMI) Applications Menu When you click on the Applications menu on the top left side of any NMI page, a drop down menu appears. This menu is comprised of eight sub menus. The Top Apps menu is the example shown below. There are seven other sub menus you can access by clicking on their names on the left side. They are Clinical, Patient Care Throughput, Administration & Finance, Education & References, Safety & Risk, West Region Clinical and West Region Administrative. The Top Apps sub menu provides access to the most used applications and tools across the system, such as Citrix, PowerChart, EPIC, Kronos, Web Paging, NETS and System Access Management. The West Region Clinical and West Region Administrative sub menus contains the tools and applications that are used specifically by West Region. These include Policy Manager, Citrix Applications (West) and Web Paging (West). Applications Menu: Made up of eight sub menus. Top Apps Sub Menu: Provides access to electronic medical record applications, medical resources and other electronic tools and resources that help you to do your job. Sub Menus: Click sub menu name to have it appear. Each sub menu provides access to applications that are related to the sub menu s name. Click anywhere outside of the open sub menu to close it. 3 Overview of My NMI Overview of My NMI Page Your My NMI page is where you go to review or update about yourself, or if you are a manager, your team. To open up your My NMI page, you need to log in to NMI. Logging In To Your My NMI Page 1. Open up Internet Explorer or double- click on the icon. The NMI home page opens (refer to page 1 for more details). 2. In the upper right corner (see circled area above), enter your Username and Password (it is the same Username and Password you use for NM ) and click on the Logging Out My NMI button. Your My NMI page appears. See My NMI Page s Main Features below for more. 1. Click on the button in the upper right corner. To fully log off NMI, you need to close ALL OPEN browser windows. You can do this by clicking on the X button(s) in the upper right corner of all open browser windows. IMPORTANT: You must log out of NMI and close all open browser windows as a security measure if you are using a public computer. If you leave a browser window open, the next person who uses the computer may be able to view your My NMI page. Closing all browsers insures that others using the computer cannot view your personal. 4 My NMI Home Page s Main Features This page contains that is customized to you. Overview of My NMI Personal Information: Contains your name, photo, work phone number and address. Collapsible Menus for Transactional Functions: Contains options (sub menus) for accessing HR self- service functions and your own personalized, such as your demographic data, compensation, benefits, performance evaluations and learning. You click on a menu to show its options (sub menus) and click on the menu again to collapse (hide) its sub menus. MY NMI Logo: If you are logged into your My NMI BUT on the NMI home page, you can click on the MY NMI logo to return to your My NMI page. Features Bar: Shows headlines of broad organizational interest and relevance to NM staff. Employee Goals Pane: Lists the current fiscal year goals for NM employees to achieve. IMPORTANT: You need to log in to access your My NMI page AND any pages which appear grayed out and suffixed with an asterisk on a sub menu.
