1 The Workflow Mpages provide a streamlined format for reviewing, ordering, and documentation actions that can be customized to best fit the provider workflow. Workflow Overview 1. Mpage Views - Each tab is a separate Mpage View. Click and drag the tabs to change sequence. Use the x or + to add or remove views. 2. Workflow Components - Topic specific sections of the chart. Click and drag components to change sequence. 3. Workflow View - Displays components. Enables providers to review, document or order on the patient s chart in an improved efficient manner. 4. Contextual View HPI, ROS, and PE documentation sections 5. Refresh Refreshes whole page. Each component has its own refresh. 6. Menu - Hide or display components using the check mark. Clear preferences returns view to default. 7. Navigation Use the back, forward, or home buttons to navigate between different pages you have viewed within the entire chart.
2 Subjective/History of Present Illness, Review of Systems, and Objective/PE You can begin the corresponding sections of your note in these components. Text can be entered via typing, dictation, autotext, or dragon templates. The text entered in to these components will be saved to the Workflow Mpage. When you create a note, this information will be pulled forward into your document. If you do not create a note, this information will be stored on your manage workflow but will not be visible to anyone else. These components will allow you to document and review the chart side by side using Contextual View. 1. Use the arrows to move the components between frames. 2. The components will move the direction the arrow is facing. 3. Click the text field to enter text. 4. Use the Save button to save text. Failure to save may prevent content from appearing in your note. 5. When the component has been saved, a time stamp will appear. When further changes are made, the save button will become available again.
3 Chief Complaint 1. Review the chief complaint. 2. Click on the text to make modifications. 3. Click Sign to submit changes. Documents 1. Document List - Single click to view document in the Preview Pane. Double click to open document in pop up window. 2. Preview Pane - View note within component. To close, click the document name in the Document list. 3. To Tag from the Preview Pane, highlight text and click the tag button. *Tag items prior to using Create Note or Documentation +Add. 4. Use My notes only checkbox to filter to notes you have authored. 5. Use the Display Filters to view/default certain note types. *Physician Documenation = Inpatient Provider Notes & Ambulatory Documentation = Ambulatory Provider Notes 6. If needed, use the header to link to Notes.
4 Vital Signs 1. Review Vital Signs. 2. Change time frame via the header button. 3. If needed, use the header to link to Results Review. Intake and Output 1. Review I & O. 2. Use the triangles to expand or collapse category headers. Solid triangle is collapsed; empty triangle is expanded. 3. If needed, use the header to link to IView.
5 Labs 1. Lab Results Pane - Review Labs present on chart. 2. Detail Pane - Review lab value, reference ranges, and results status. 3. Lab Tagging - Multiple labs can be tagged at once. Highlight the labs in the result pane using CTRL+Click or SHIFT+Click. When the desired labs are selected, click the Tag button. 4. Use menu to choose Lab filters. 5. Use buttons to change time frame. 6. If needed, use header to link to Results Review. 7. Each category can be collapsed and expanded to save scrolling. Solid triangle is collapsed; empty triangle is expanded.
6 Diagnostics, Microbiology, and Pathology 1. Click the name of the test to view the report in a pop up window. 2. Collapse or expand the category headers when available. 3. If needed, use the header to link to Results Review. 4. Adjust the time range as needed.
7 Histories 1. History Tabs - Click tab to view type of history. Click and drag to change sequence. Family, Social and Pregnancy History are view only. 2. For Procedure History, click the procedure to view the detail pane. 3. Use the detail pane to modify or remove selected procedure. 4. Use the search to add procedure history. 5. To add or modify Family, Social, or Pregnancy histories, use the header to link to Histories. Allergies 1. Review Allergies present on chart. 2. Single click the allergy to view the detail pane where you can modify selected allergy. 3. Use the quick search to add a new allergy. DISREGARD the reverse allergy checking notification. This is done automatically.
8 Home Medications 1. Home Medication List - Review home medications on the chart. 2. Medication Hx and Reconciliation Status Icons - Use the icons to launch to the appropriate medication reconciliation. A green check indicates reconciliation has been completed. 3. Renew/Cancel/Complete - Prescriptions can be addressed outside of the med rec by selecting the med and choosing the appropriate action and route. Addressing meds in this manner does not satisfy the Medication Reconciliation requirements. 4. Sign - Sign to submit any actions you chosen for individual meds. 5. If needed, use the header to link to the Medication List. Medications 1. Select a medication from the category to review. 2. Review information in the detail pane. 3. Use the status icons to link to the appropriate medication reconciliation. 4. Collapse or expand the categories using the triangles. 5. If needed, use the header to link to the MAR summary.
9 Consolidated Problems 1. If needed, use the header to link to Diagnosis and Problems. 2. To convert an existing problem to a diagnosis, hover over the right side of the problem and use the dropdown to mark it as This Visit. 3. When marked as This Visit, the problem will be moved to the beginning of the list and have a This Visit indicator. If it is also a prior problem it will say Chronic after the name. 4. Use the number drop down to prioritize diagnoses. Use the bullseye and exclamation icons to launch the Diagnosis Assistant. 5. To add a new diagnosis or problem, choose the appropriate option in the Add new as: drop down. 6. Use the quick search to add. 7. If the consolidated problem list is long, there will be an arrow in the side columns to scroll horizontally. 8. When a diagnosis or problem is selected and blue, use the menu to choose an action such as remove.
10 Patient Education 1. Suggested Items - Review suggested patient education items to be added. Items are suggested by diagnosis. 2. Added Patient Education - Items that appear here will print on the patient s clinical/visit summary. 3. Add additional education sheets - Search for education sheets via quick search. View Departmental or Personal education sheets. 4. Review or modify using the pencil. Remove using the X. Print single education sheets via the printer icon. Follow Up 1. Personal Favorites - Use favorites to quickly add providers for the patient to follow up with. 2. Search and Quick Picks - Search for providers or use the system quick picks to add follow ups for the patient. 3. Detail Pane - Save, modify, favorite or delete follow ups. 4. Added Follow Up - Review added follow ups. Single click follow up to open detail pane.
11 New Order Entry 1. Select folders to view. Mine = Favorites, Public = System Folders, Shared = Other Providers 2. Use Order to place in Orders for Signature (Green button, a.k.a. Shopping Cart) 3. Search for any additional orders needed. 4. Use the Orders for Signature button to sign or modify orders in the pop up. 5. Use the dropdown to change order type between Inpatient orders and prescriptions. 6. If needed, use the header to link to Order Profile.
12 Order Profile 1. Click on order for more details. 2. Use the detail pane to review or cancel/dc. 3. Collapse or expand categories as needed. 4. Choose the appropriate filter. 5. If needed, use the header to link to the Order Profile. Create Note To pull together your documentation from the Workflow view and create a note, click the words Select Other Note in the bottom left of the Workflow Mpage. Clicking the words Create Note will not launch documentation. You can also use the menu s Documentation +Add.
