3 Introduction

4 Dynamic and effective results together Project The TEN-T network influences Europe both as a political framework and through its practical implementation. Involved are EU Coordinators for 9 Core Network Corridors(CNC), 2 Horizontal Priorities (HP), stakeholders and related entities on national, regional and local levels. Purpose To make the TEN-T network more visible through the implementation of a dynamic and effective communication strategy and website.

5 TEN-T communication objectives Step I: Optimize internal communication 1. Improve the flow of information within the TEN-T network and all involved 2. Establish a dialogue within the network Step II: Broaden external communication 1. Create integral transparency 2. Create understanding of TEN-T among interested public 3. Generate positive sentiment 4. Enhance the project s image The successful realisation of these objectives results in one outcome: The creation of a strong brand

6 Tools of implementation

7 Communication campaign elements We will use the following tools to achieve our communication objectives: new webpages for CNC and HP 2. Use existing Twitter account for communicating TEN-T related news

8 Webpages 11new CNC and HP webpages will be created. They will provide viewers with: current news on projects and events information material on CNC / HP video material news feed columns (Twitter e.g.) interactive maps (with TENtec map viewer) Furthermore, they should: be interactive and user-friendly recognisable through a common logo/header in corporate design, created by mc

9 Twitter On the existing Twitter tweets about TEN-T related news (events, project developments, calls for application etc.) will be published using the hashtag #TEN_T Tweets will be written and illustrated by mc and published after approval of responsible contact persons of department A1. We will place #TEN_T on all motifs and communicate it as often as possible in order to promote a multiplier effect for the strategy.

11 Newsletter A newsletter will be sent to all stakeholders and subscribers on a regular basis. It will contain between five and, at maximum, ten short teasers about the newest developments within CNC and HP related projects, events and topics. The information will be gathered and topics will be chosen by mc in cooperation with the contact persons for each CNC and HP. NEWSLETTER

12 Information Kits Professional information kits for the different CNCs and HPs will be created. They will contain: INFORMATION PRESS RELEASES KITS General information on CNCs and HPs Information on national projects Information on regional projects Information on local and municipal projects PRESS KIT mc will compile one online, accessible information kit per CNC or HP covering relevant facts and stories. If needed, mc and DG MOVE will offer journalists both individual interview appointments and exclusive construction site visits with DG MOVE representatives.

13 Event monitoring The mc team members will continuously research throughout the duration of the project. Continuous research is necessary in order to keep the website up to date and to adapt the communication strategy and activities. mc will automatically screen EU activities concerning TEN-T related topics. All information will be bundled and delivered to the responsible DG MOVE representatives via a reporting tool.

15 Role of European Coordinators

16 European Coordinators as ambassadors European Coordinators can be integrated into the TEN-T communication concept by acting as ambassadors to their Core Network Corridor or Horizontal Priority

17 Design A design for the headers will be created and could be used for: - Webpages (as a header or graphic element) - Tweets - Other communication tools (within e.g. newsletter, press releases, brochures, etc.) The coordinators may provide these graphics to all members of the forum, stakeholders, project partners and related entities for their communication within the download section of the webpage.

21 Next steps... The consultants of CNC and HP will provide mc with information and relevant contacts for communication mc will prepare a letter (that will be approved by DG MOVE) for the contacts, stakeholders and partners to inform them about the project plans and ask for their cooperation mc will develop the concept for short image films for the CNCs and HPs. The concept will be approved by DG MOVE and the filming could potentially begin in spring (e.g. 26 th May with statements from EU-Coordinators) Content for the webpages will be created by mc and submitted for approval by DG MOVE The logo will be revised and proposed to DG MOVE A webpage design will be created and proposed to DG MOVE before TEN-T Days 2016
