1 SELF-UPLOAD GUIDELINES SCIENTIFIC WORK STUDENTS (THESIS, THESIS AND DISSERTATION) MUHAMMADIYAH UNIVERSITY OF SURAKARTA This guide is made as a guide for students who will collect their scientific work to the UMS Library. In order to process the independent upload is easy and runs smoothly. In this independent upload process there are several steps that must be passed. The stages are as follows: 1. Preparation phase At this stage there are some preparations that should be done by students when will upload their scientific work to the UMS Library repository system. The preparations are: 1. Make sure the computer / laptop that will be used to upload self has been connected to the Internet quite well and there is a web browser application that can be used (eg: Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and so on). 2. You have an account or an account UMS SSO (Single Sign On), if you do not have it, please contact UMS IT. 3. Make sure that the files to be uploaded in accordance with the provisions of the file as in the address of the provisions of digital files. 4. Go to websites Self-Upload with address Login to Address using Single Sign On account of UMS
2 1.2. Next Click on UMS Repository After clicking Repository UMS, it will automatically connect to its repository system UMS Library which is located at http //: eprints.ums.ac.id. 2. File Upload Stage 2.1. After connecting to http //: eprint.ums.ac.id then login again by using the Single Sign On UMS account, as seen in the following view:
3 2.2. Once successfully logged in, then Select New Item to continue the file upload process, as seen in the following view: 2.3. The next step is to choose the type of writing, for scientific work in the form of final project, thesis, thesis or dissertation please Select Scientific Works then click Next 2.4. Upload Digital Files Process Upload File Process Publication 1. Next Click Browse to find the file to upload. Then select the Publication File to upload on the repository system.

11 Uploading Process of Chapter IV File 1. Then the next step is uploading the file 6th by selecting Browse to locate a file to upload and then select the file to be uploaded in Chapter IV repository system.

Then Charge Description: Chapter IV and Visible To: Repository Staff Only Uploading Process of Chapter V File 1. Then the next step is uploading the file to-7 by selecting Browse to locate a file to upload and then select the file Chapter V for upload to the system repository.

Then the next step is uploading files 8th by selecting Browse to locate a file to upload and then select the file to be uploaded Bibliography on the system repository. 2. The next step is to select the + sign in the show options to fill in the description and visible To.
15 3. Then Fill Description: References and Visible To: Anyone Uploading Process of Attachments File 1. Then the next step is uploading the file to-9 by selecting Browse to locate a file to upload and then select a file attachment to be uploaded to the system repository.

17 Uploading Process of Publication Statement File 1. Then the next step is uploading the file 10th by Browsing to find the file to upload. Then select the file publication Statement to be uploaded to the repository system. 2. The next step is to select the + sign in the show options to fill in the description and visible To.
18 3. Then Charge Description: Statement of Scientific Publications and Visible To: Repository Staff Only * License and Embargo Expire Date not filled (left as is) Then Click Next
19 3. Phase of Filling Identity of Scientific Works In this third stage there are several identities that must be filled by students namely: 1. Title of Scientific Work 2. Abstract Scientific Work (In English) 3. Type of Scientific Works 4. Author (Creators) 5. Divisions (Faculty and Study Program) 6. Publication Status 7. Year of Scientific Paper 8. Date Type 9. Institution name Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta 10. Faculty in accordance with the respective scientific work 11. Number of Scientific Works Page 12. Student ID Number 13. Active 14. Bibliography 15. Keywords 16. Subject of Scientific Work Further information on how to fill the identity of this scientific work can be seen in the following views: 1. Title Filling, Abstract, Scientific and Writing Type Note:
20 Title (Title Scientific) in lowercase, uppercase is used at the beginning of words Example: Application of Learning Problem Based Learning To Improve Motivation and Learning Outcomes Mathematics (PTK In Seventh Grade Students Semester Junior High School I Surakarta Year 2014/2015). ABSTRACT ct: Abstract Thesis / Thesis / Final (in English) Thesis Type: Type Karya Ilmiah (Thesis / Final Project / Thesis) Creators: author's name begins with the last name (family name) and then the first name (given name / initials) Writing names should not be abbreviated. Example: Tri Mulyati so Mulyati Tri (2 words) Budiman so Budiman Budiman (1 words) Dina Ayu Effendi so Effendi Dina Ayu (3 words) Creators to 2: completed Full name The first counselor accompanied by his title on line 2, column to -2 Example: Prof. Dr. Nino Rayani written Prof. Dr. Nino Rayani Creators to 3: completed Full name The second counselor is accompanied by his title on the 3rd line, the 3rd column Example: Dr. Yaris Setiawan written Dr. Yaris Setiawan 2. Charging Divisions, Status, Date and Date Type Note:

Charging Institution, Department, NIM and Number of Pages Note : Institution: Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta Department: Faculty accordance with the respective scientific work Number of pages: N o pages across the scientific work (Thesis / Thesis / Final) Identification number: NIM (Student Identification Number) and is written without spaces 4. Filling, Bibliography and Keywords

24 After completion at this last stage, for the next process students are required to come to the UMS Library Administration section by bringing printed scientific work (hardcopy) to be verified by the officer. So this guide is made, hopefully the student who will collect his scientific work to the Library is able to perform independent uploads to the UMS Library repository system smoothly.
