Re-size the current viewed document page 5. Reset table of contents after use 6. My Favourites. Create a set of frequently used titles. Click the star next to a title/s to add it to the list Information icons provide a brief description of that product plus show the frequency of updates The order of titles There are various sections in the table depending on customer requirements. + signs are displayed to the side of all products. The amount of material in each section will vary depending on the number of titles they contain. Example: Tax-in-depth commentary may have as many as 10 sub sections as opposed to a section, for example, Hardmans Rates & Tables which comprises only that title.
4 page 3 Index browsing A-Z index within a title Click + beside the title heading to reveal the contents. 1 Chapter browsing An alternative method of accessing a document is to browse the chapter headings within a particular title. Click the + to open title. Click through to the required area. Click the title to view document options. 1 Route taken in this example: + Tax Reporter > + Income tax - Principles > 2 + Taxable persons > + Non-residents > + Paragraph Click the paragraph number to reveal document.
5 page 4 Site index multiple publication browse This feature enables the user to view documents on a specific topic appearing across the most accessed tax titles in the CCH portfolio. Choose 3 Select topic area. This index method displays various titles in one view. 4 In this example: Income Tax Guide Tax Reporter HMRC Manuals Tax Legislation
6 page 5 The Homepage function locates document/s which contain a word, or words that appear near to each other, in all the titles currently available in the user s library. 1 Enter the key words/terms and click Search The results are displayed in the Table of Contents thus: 2 3 Click the + sign against the appropriate product to reveal the hits in this title area. In this example (5 hits) View the document excerpts and click the required title to view the whole document eg

Click from the Homepage or select Search on the navigation toolbar and click Statute Search. The required piece of legislation then appears. Click the tabs to view interpretation of this provision. Enter reference and click.
11 page 10 Standards Offers the opportunity to locate a specific financial reporting standard (FRS/ISA) simply and quickly. Click and click Standards Search. from the Homepage or select Search from the navigation toolbar Enter reference and click Search.

Click and click Case Search. In this example the required case report is Cadbury Schweppes but is known to the user as Schweppes. The result confirms the full, correct title and displays any other related cases containing the name Schweppes.
13 page 12 HMRC Manuals Archive Offers the opportunity to access the HMRC Archived Manuals in order to locate guidance over a specified period of time by topic/subject matter. Click and click Archive Search. Enter the terms. Choose the year and month you wish to across. HMRC Archived Guidance Manuals are able dependant on this service being added to the library. Contact your CCH Account Manager or contact us directly to discuss this product on If a specific period is not selected the will encompass all years/months.

Choose either Working or New/Existing folder Follow the same steps as for saving single docs to folder

23 page 22 History Keeps a full 30-day record of all the documents you have viewed and es you have performed. Click to view the documents accessed and es performed in the last 30 days. Remember that viewed documents may be added to folders directly via the History tab in the toolbar
