2 Requesting an Audit Select Run Declared Programs Current declared program(s) will be displayed. If you make no changes on this screen the standard Audit Request format (HTML) will be provided. The next page will explain how to alter the format and provide screenshots of the (2) different format outputs, HTML and PDF. Screenshots for the following documentation will be based on the HTML format, as the format is more interactive for the reviewer. System confirming request Audit Request ready for review (select View Audit)
3 Request an Audit: Format options Just above the Run Declared Programs icon is Advanced Settings Click to view available options. Click the italicized Click to view available options, to engage the Format menu (as shown). The default setting is HTML; if you desire PDF, you will need to select this format each time you make an Audit Request, and desire this format. HTML format: Viewable in your web browser. The audit will allow you to select and print a Printer Friendly version. This is the standard, and most often-requested format. PDF format: If you would like to print the audit. Specific to PDF format: You will need to Download the Audit. It can be opened or saved. Requires Adobe Reader or FoxIt to view. May not use Browser or Chrome in Android to view. The next 2 pages provide examples of HTML and PDF formats.
4 Course History tab Request an Audit: HTML format
5 Course History page Audit Results page Request an Audit: PDF format The top graphical portion of the PDF format of the /page will have the same functionality as that of the HMTL. It is in the review of the Program Requirements portion, the 2 nd half that the PDF format is distinct from the HTML format. Similar, readily understood keys, are used in both (Red X s in HTML, Red NO s in PDF) to reference fulfillment of requirements.
6 Interpreting the Audit Results Degree Requirements At the time the degree audit is being introduced, not all majors, minors and concentration have been encoded to match the requirements put forth by each college. For the Undergraduate student, requirements are composed of University Requirements (total accrued units and minimum GPA), and Program of Liberal Studies core requirements (Critical Thinking and Perspectives), plus the requirements of declared programs. All undergraduate students will be able to view, in a graphic/interactive way, how they are progressing towards meeting their University and Program of Liberal Studies requirements. For majors, minors and concentrations not currently built (or encoded in the software), the majority of coursework will be displayed in the General Electives section. The software has been scripted to state An audit for this major/minor/concentration is not yet available. An example is provided below Additional pages follow to assist you with understanding the different sections of the audit.
7 Navigating the Audit: tabs There are (3) tabs: Audit Results, Course History, and Applied Exceptions When selecting View Audit, the first page presented will always be the. Documentation will focus on assisting you with understanding and navigating the Audit Results and Course History tabs. Course History tab Applied Exceptions tab This tab displays applied course waivers/exceptions.

11 Pie Chart and Bar Graph The top graphical portion of the audit request will present your progression to degree in numbers. In the example below, both University and Critical Thinking Requirements are unfulfilled (needed to graduate). Hovering over the pie chart reveals 6 units Unfulfilled, 4 In Progress, 22 Completed. Quick math: 2 semester s worth of courses remaining. The bar graph has CLICK functionality, with a drill down feature.

13 Interpreting the Audit Results University Requirements Click the arrow, to Open University Requirements Questions regarding University Requirements (minimum number of Units or GPA ) can be answered by your adviser, or by reviewing the Undergraduate Academic Policies section of the Academic Catalog
14 Interpreting the Audit Results Program of Liberal Studies: Critical Thinking & Perspectives PLS - Perspectives: As each of the (6) requirements is fulfilled, the status changes to Complete, listing one course. For instances where a petition may be submitted for a non-attributed course to be applied for an Unfulfilled PLS requirement, the Full Listing of Perspectives section has been provided for review of all attributed courses taken by the student.
15 Interpreting the Audit Results Major Requirements The audit should reflect the program (major, minor, concentration) requirements stated on the department s web page. The audit has been created to confirm what courses Completed the requirement, and.... what is needed (NEEDS:), providing a SELECT FROM: list of courses that, if taken, would fulfill the requirement.
16 Printing HTML format From the, just below the Key (as shown), find and select Printer Friendly. Next enter CTRL+P on keyboard. Print menu should appear as shown below.
