1 CHECKPOINT FOR SMART PHONES Checkpoint is now optimized for your smart phone. When you access Checkpoint from your smart phone, you will automatically be directed to our streamlined mobile version. When you go to checkpoint.thomsonreuters.com on your smart phone the site will recognize that you are coming to this site via a smart phone and will automatically direct you to the mobile version of Checkpoint 2014 Thomson Reuters/Tax & Accounting. All Rights Reserved.

2 Navigation At any point in time you can navigate to the full Checkpoint site by clicking on the Full Site link at the bottom of any page or clicking on the menu icon and clicking Go to Full Site. Every page on the mobile site has a Navigation icon and links to the Full Site, and links to the Full Site, Help and Feedback Conversely, you can navigate back to the mobile site by clicking on the Mobile icon in the orange header. 2

3 Like most sites designed for smart phones, this is a slimmer version of the full site. Checkpoint for smart phones contains all the content you subscribe to and includes many of the features you rely on to make your research more efficient. The Home page displays features made available to you based on your subscription 3

4 Find by Citation Find by Citation is available for all practice areas except International Trade. For the Accounting, Auditing, and Corporate Finance practice area the AICPA and FASB templates are available. 5 WG&L Tax Dictionary Search for tax terms using the WG&L tax Dictionary. The WG&L Tax Dictionary allows you to search for tax terms 5

6 Table of Contents Browse and search Checkpoint contents using the Table of Contents feature. The Table of Contents allows you to browse and search content 6

7 While browsing the TOC you can click i icon to view your current location You can perform a keyword search at the level you have navigated by clicking the Search Icon to display the search functionality 7

8 The navigation arrows provide a way for you to navigate through the documents. Clicking on the option allows you to choose how you want to navigate 8

9 The Options icon allows you to set document related items such as toggling on/off top line and side line links Clicking on top links and side line links, wherever available, will a list of set of related documents 9

10 You can select a required Top Line Link and Side Line Link from the drop down menu The Flag and Note icon indicate that you have flagged and/or added a not to the document 10

11 The Action icon provides you a way to flag a document and add, view or edit document notes The Context icon provides a way for you to view contents, document list and/or related material depending on how you got to the document this is similar to the Context Panel in the full site 11

13 History Use History to view your Checkpoint history from the full site, ipad version, and mobile version. View all history Link to documents and searches in History Click on History to view all history and search within it 13

15 Folders Use Folders to access folders/saved items from full site, ipad version, and mobile version. View folders and contents Link to documents and saved searches in folders Clicking on Folders allows you to view saved folders and links you to any saved searches in folders 15

16 Flagged Documents Use Flagged Documents to view a list of flagged documents from the full site, ipad version and mobile version. Flagged documents option links you to a list of flagged documents While you can see your full History, Folders and Flagged Documents, there are several types of content that will not work within the mobile site. In these instances, if you click on the link to go to the item, you will be given the option to link to the item in the full site. 16

17 Content that relies on Microsoft Silverlight (e.g. Document Assembly, Interactive Decision Tools) will not work on mobile devices because these devices don not support Silverlight. In these instances, if you click on the link to go to the item, a message will display alerting you that the item is not supported. For content not supported by mobile devices a message is displayed alerting you that the item is not supported 17
