2 INTRODUCTION The Open OPD3 app is a tool that is used to review OPD3 data on an ipad. 3 OPEN OPD3 APP INSTALLATION 1. Open istore. Search for OPD or INNOVA. 2. Find the OPEN OPD3 application and purchase it. 3. Click Install button to install the app on your ipad. 3

4 IPADREPORTSERVICE INSTALLATION FOR OPD III UNITS AND OPD3-SCAN REVIEW STATIONS Note: For the review stations (external PC, laptop) please go directly to Step On the OPD3 main unit press the Maintenance button. Go to the Service Mode. The Input Password dialog box is displayed. Press the Input Password button. A keyboard is displayed. Input the password opd3svc and press the OK button to confirm. The buttons for servicing are added to the Maintenance screen. Press the Go to desktop button. The unit will be rebooted with Windows desktop. 2. Open My Computer -> C: drive and create a folder OPD3iPad. 3. Copy ipadreportservice.exe and config.ini files to OPD3iPad folder from a USB stick or network location. 4. Press Start -> Run 5. Type in the run field C:\OPD3iPad\IPadReportService.exe -install and press OK. The ipadreportservice service will be installed on the system. Note: You can also drag the IPadReportService.exe from OPD3iPad folder to the "Run" dialog input field and then add "-install" to the end of the file name. 6. Right-click on My Computer, select Manage and open Services console to view the current system services. 7. Find IPad Report Viewing Service in the list, start it and set Startup type option to Automatic. apps@innovamed.com 4

5 8. Click OK. Then check the service is running and startup type is set to Automatic. 9. Close the services console, go to OPD3iPad folder and edit the config.ini file as follows: FolderName=C:\OPDSTOUT ServerPort=8001 Save the file and exit. 5

NETWORK SETTINGS AND OPEN OPD3 APP CONFIGURATION Note: This is a sample of a simple network configuration. In case of domain networks refer to an IT-person for help in networking.

In networks with DHCP service, IP-address will be assigned to the unit/review station automatically. Static IP (manually assigned) is a recommended option. 1. Connect your ipad to a local network (LAN) with wi-fi connection. 2. Connect the OPD3 unit (or review station) to the network. 3. Find the IP-address assigned to the OPD3 unit/pc: a. On the OPD3/PC press Start, type cmd in the Run field, click OK. b. In the opened window type ipconfig and hit Enter. c. Find Local Area Connection section and check IP address assigned. apps@innovamed.com 7

8 Note: If IP-address has been successfully assigned, refer to step 4. In order to assign a static IP proceed with step 3d. d. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet Connections -> Network Connections. e. Right click on Local Area Connection and select Properties. Scroll down and Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click the Properties button. f. Enter the required IP address and click the OK button. Close all opened windows. Restart the unit/computer. 4. Open the ipad, click the Settings button, then click on the OPEN OPD3 app. Enter the IP address found in step 3c (or entered in 3f). Check the port (8001 by default). apps@innovamed.com 8

10 TESTING THE OPEN OPD3 APP Note: In order to receive reports from the main station, OPEN OPD3 app needs to be pointed to a folder with reports. By default, this folder (C:\OPDSTOUT) resides on the OPD3 unit. Please contact Innova Technical and Clinical Support Team if you are not sure about this setting. Export any report from the OPD3 Scan software: 1. Open a patient record in the OPD3 software, select a summary. 2. Select Tools > Data Output. 3. Confirm output settings and press OK. The report will be exported into the C:\OPDSTOUT folder. apps@innovamed.com 10

11 How to transfer reports: 1. Open the OPEN OPD3 app on the ipad. 2. Click Refresh button to update/download reports. If all settings are OK, you will be able to see the list of downloaded reports: 3. For more application features, please refer to the OPEN OPD3 User Guide. 11
