3 1 Introduction From the reference year 2013 the countries are responsible for the data check from level 0 to 2. The validation levels are described in the following link: As agreed in the SBS Working Group, the countries have to send the validation reports to Eurostat together with the data. Therefore Eurostat has created new dataflow in edamis to allow countries to send the report in a uniform and secure way. In this document is explained how to send the reports for the countries that use EDIT validation tool and the countries that are sending the validation form. 4 2 Countries that use EDIT For the countries that use EDIT the reports have to be sent via edamis. There are two ways to get the EDIT reports 2.1 Automatic report download/generation When a job is finished, the error reports are created automatically and are stored in a specific folder that is specified during the installation Machines running under Windows 7 The default path of the folder where the error reports are stored in Windows 7 is C:\ProgramData\EBB 2012_ \edit\REPORTS\ Machines running under Windows XP In Windows XP there are two different folder paths depending on how the user installed the application: For all Users: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\EBB \edit\REPORTS\ Only for current user: C:\Documents and Settings\<your account name>\application Data\EBB \edit\REPORTS\ The automatically generated reports are the following: ErrorLog ConfAuditErrorLog ConfAuditOutput The auto-generated files follows the naming convention: Series_Year_ReportType_Timestamp.csv an example 1A_2013_data_err_stat_ _1241.csv Validation report transmission guide Page 4 / 7

5 2.2 Manual report download The results of a validation job will be accessible via the displayed: icon. The following screen will be This screen provides access to the job reports and enables the visualisation of the dataset used for validation. From the Error reports, the following actions will be available from the icons located under the Action section: View statistics error within EBB2012 View detailed statistics report The results of the validation checks are displayed under View detailed statistics report of the different error reports, as shown below: Validation report transmission guide Page 5 / 7

6 2.3 The reports to be sent to Eurostat The report should be grouped in folder per annex. In the folder should be all three reports: ErrorLog ConfAuditErrorLog ConfAuditOutput All the warnings and errors displayed in reports have to be explained in a excel document per annex, specifying the report name as excel sheet. You have to create an excel sheet only for the reports containing errors and/or warnings. You have to put the detailed explanation or each warning and/or rule writing the rule number and the error message. This file can be reused for other reference years, of course by updating the necessary rules. In any case the update should be minimal as some warnings occur every year. Once the folder is ready to be transmitted you have to compress it (i.e zip). 3 Countries that did not use EDIT The countries that did not use EDIT has to fill the form that has been sent via mail. Eurostat has created a dataflow for the reports divided per annex, therefore you have to split the form per annex and transmit it separately. 4 Transmission of reports to Eurostat The reports zipped folder or the form - has to be sent to ESTAT via edamis. 7 4.1 How to send the reports The reports has to be send to Eurostat via edamis, in a similar way as it is done for the data files. To send the reports you have to do the as shown in the following steps: In Transmission menu you have to select Send Datafile A new screen will be displayed, here you have to fill the following fields: With Browse button you have to select the report file to be sent. In Dataset dropdown menu you have to select the annex_dreport_a, where annex can be: RSBSSERV, RSBSIND etc. In From you have to select you country, i.e. HR In To dropdown menu, you have to select EU-G2 In Year dropdown menu you have to select the reference year of the reports that you are sending. There are two optional fields ad Free text comments and File with explanatory notes. One you have filled all the fields you should press Perform transfers button.
