8 2 Installation ¾Download HorschServiceSetup_ exe (or higher) from the HORSCH Partner website (Access data required): a b c (a) By installing the Horsch Servicetool, the system will, after a restart, automatically try to synchronize the software with the HORSCH server. Intermediately saved information about previous updates will be loaded. (b) When choosing Install driver for Peak USB dongle, the installation of Peak will be executed first. The driver (Peak USB dongle) is installed thereafter. Cancel this selection only if the driver has already been installed. The downloaded file is saved in the folder Downloads. (c) Not required. ¾Execute the Installer and follow the instructions. If a Servicetool has already been installed, you will be asked whether the older version is to be uninstalled. 8

9 The installation runs without any further input by the user. Installation of the driver (Peak USB dongle): 9

10 3 Connections ¾ Connect the PCAN USB to the laptop and connect it to the CAN-bus. Diagnostics cable PT/LT ¾ Connecting the diagnostics cable to the Diagnostics port X03: PCAN USB ¾ During use in the field a connection to the ISOBUS is normally set up 1 using the Y-cable for the Müller terminal (Art. No ) or using the InCabin connecting cable for the PEAK Dongle (Art. No ) Connection of diagnostics cable X03 (on folding boom) ¾Connect connection CAN1 of the diagnostics cable with PCAN USB: 2 3 Y- cable InCabin connecting cable 1 Basic equipment 2 PCAN 3 Müller Terminal Crop protection ¾The diagnostics cable PT/LT ( ) can be used if no InCabin connection is available. 10

11 4 Start and pre-settings ¾ Start the HORSCH Servicetool from the program menu ( Start - All Programs ) or via the desktop icon. Once the connection has been successfully set up, this view appears with a green connection status: (a) (b) (c) (d) a b c d System voltage (only crop protection PT/LT) Double-click switches between full screen mode and windows mode Double-click minimises the display Options (a) System voltage U U < 10.5 V: Display is red, engine must be absolutely started V < U < 11.5 V: Display is yellow, engine should bestarted. If no CAN-bus is connected, this information will be displayed: U > 11.5 V: Display is black, the update can be performed. If no Internet connection is available, this information will be displayed: The connection status for CAN and Internet is displayed at the bottom edge of the screen: 11

12 (d) Options 5 Software synchronization The program attempts to synchronize with the HORSCH software server and to download the released software versions. If this does not work, the system will browse the computer for previously loaded local versions. The date of the last synchronization will then be displayed: ¾ Language : ¾ Versions : ¾ Zip log files : ¾ Save list in file : ¾Update error list ¾ Check for updates Select the language and confirm with Change language. Overview of program versions Option of compressing (zip) the log files generated for subsequent transmission. Versions is saved. Updates the list of error codes in the diagnosis. Availability of updates for the Servicetool is checked. Should the local version be older than 14 days, no component updates will be permitted. Use the Horsch ServerSyncTool regularly for synchronization. 12

13 6 Update 6.1 Scan ¾ Click on Update and start the scan: 1. A list with the detected components will be displayed after the scan. 2. A window with detailed information about the components detected will be displayed below. The Horsch Servicetool will now search for - software on the server - components connected to the bus. If no components are found with the initial baud rate, the Tool will change the baud rate and start a new search. ¾ Enter the serial number of the machine (seetype plate): Detailed information for components Components: HORSCH LED HORSCH central electric module HORSCH CAN IO Boom Control IO 13

14 Liquid valve controller Otherwise contact the HORSCH Service. The bus number will also be displayed if one of these components was found on a sub-bus (secondary line system). Components: HORSCH Dashboard HORSCH ABT HORSCH ABT Light The Pool/Control version is displayed in addition: Müller job computer With older Müller job computers (DrillManager Master, DrillManager Slave and DrillManager Standard) no software or hardware states or article numbers can be read out. DrillManager Standard (1x16) DrillManager Master (2x16) DrillManager Slave (Maestro) Maestro metering motors ¾If Maestro metering motors are found: Check whether all motors have Bootloader versions 11 or higher. 6.2 Choosing components Excluding individual components from an update is possible. It must be ensured here, however, that the correct software has already been installed for the respective component. ¾Place the checkmark at Update all components to this end: 14

15 ¾Enter the password. The required password is available at HORSCH Service. ¾ Click Start update and search or select file. ¾Select the components by right-clicking them and confirm the exclusion: The excluded components are greyed out: If no software is available for a particular component this component will be automatically excluded. However, the component can be added via a local file. ¾ Select the component with right-click and add it. ¾Confirm, enter password and select file. 6.3 Performing the update ¾Select the desired software package and click on Start update : Excluded components can be added again. ¾Select components with right-click and add individual ones or all of them. Local files An update with a file stored locally on the computer can be performed for individual components. However, such an update may not be made without first consulting HORSCH Service. ¾ Select components for the update with a local version. ¾Place the checkmark: Before the update, all components are displayed with the corresponding versions: 15

16 6.4 Change a version It is possible to use a software version different to the current version displayed. ¾ To do so click on Change version. This is only possible after the checkmark for Update to latest version has been removed (a) and several software versions are available for the selected component. An update can only be run then for individual component groups. a After successful updating, all components will be restarted. All changed detailed information is displayed. Notes on update for crop protection technology: The power supply for the vehicle network must be supported during the entire update process. Let the engine run or use a suitable charger. Duration for update for complete system: PT: approx. 70 min LT: approx. 50 min Change versions only after consulting the HORSCH Service! Older software versions of the series drives are normally not compatible with the latest version of E-Manager and vice-versa. Apart from this, Master and Slave versions cannot be combined arbitrarily. ¾Restart the total system after the successful update. Switch off the ignition for this purpose switch it on again after approx. 5 seconds. 16

17 6.5 Error messages Timeout during an update: Crop protection technology STW Error: ¾Restart the update. ¾ Contact HORSCH Service if the error occurs again. Device is not supported; error during an update: ¾Confirm the message. The following message appears: Switch off ignition/terminal, wait 3 seconds and switch on again within 5 seconds. ¾Restart the update. ¾ Contact HORSCH Service if the error occurs again. Local versions too old for the update: The update will then be attempted again. ¾Use the WinFlash software for the following components if the repeat attempt was aborted: HORSCH HECU PT 330 HORSCH Sprayer ECU (PT V1 and V2) HORSCH Sprayer ECU (LT V2) Contact HORSCH Service for this purpose. ¾Connect to the Internet. ¾ Run the update via ServerSyncTool or ¾ connect Peak Dongle and start Scan. No software found on the computer: ¾Install the software. 17

18 7 Diagnostics The error memory of the job computer can be read after the scan: ¾Click on Diagnostics and start the hardware scan: The components detected will be displayed. This requires the Master software version 9.67 and the software of the row motors ( Dunkermotoren brand). Younger versions are not displayed. The codes of the errors that have occurred will be displayed. The number of the respective errors is shown in parenthesis: 7.1 E-Manager ¾ Select component and click on Start diagnostics : ¾ Click on the individual errors to view the details: Update the error list under Options when the details are not displayed (see Start and default settings ). The error list is deleted after restarting the Servicetool. 18

19 7.2 Row motors An error was diagnosed for red rows in the table: ¾ Select component and click on Start diagnostics : Possible errors on the respective rows: The serial numbers for the motors are read from the job computer and directly on the motors and compared with each other: No serial number found. Exactly one serial number found. However, it does not match the stored serial numbers. The stored serial number and additional serial number(s) found. Stored serial number not found but additional serial numbers found. ¾Contact HORSCH Service if the fault cannot be corrected. A detailed list of the errors can be found for each motor: The stored serial number was recognised for green rows in the table. a (a) Serial number stored in the job computer 19

20 8 CAN Trace A CAN Trace can be saved for analysis. It is uploaded to the Server and can be viewed by Software Development at HORSCH. 9 Updating the Servicetool The Servicetool checks automatically whether new software versions are available. If a new version is available a prompt appears whether the new version should be downloaded: ¾ Confirm the prompt with Yes. A progress bar indicates the status of the download: ¾ Select the size of the CAN Trace: All information up to a file size of 1 MB The last 30 s program runtime The last 60 s runtime ¾ Confirm the next prompt for the installation of the new version with Yes: Make sure to specify in the comment field: Serial number of the machine Description of error Contact info ( , telephone, address) Make sure to notify HORSCH Service about sending the CAN Trace! The Servicetool will be closed and the new version installed. 20
