3 1 System Requirements The Business NETVIGATOR PC-Security service requires a software application to be installed at your PC. The following are the supported operating systems: Windows 8/ bit and 64-bit: Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Vista 32-bit & 64-bit: Windows XP 32-bit: All editions All editions Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, Enterprise. Home/Professional/Media Center Edition Note: the Server versions of the operating systems mentioned above, and Windows XP 64-bit are not supported Minimum system requirements of different operating systems for installing the program: For Windows XP: System Memory: 512MB Hard Disk Space: 800MB free space Internet Browser: Internet Explorer 7.0 or newer For Window Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1: System Memory: 1GB Hard Disk Space: 800MB free space Internet Browser: Internet Explorer 7.0 or newer Note: Internet connection is required in order to validate your subscription and download the update patch. 4 2 Installation Before installing PC-Security, please ensure that you have uninstalled all other vendor s anti-virus and anti-spyware software. Also, before installing PC-Security, exit all other running programs. The installation process requires the PC to be rebooted at the end of the process. Note: Administrator or its equivalent level of access is required. Following the procedure below to carry out the installation: Step 1: Download and save the PC-Security application from Business NETVIGATOR at Step 2: Double click the downloaded PC-Security application, to start the installation process. A Setup Wizard will start. Step 3: Once the Setup Wizard started, an end user license agreement will be shown as below: Step 4: Read through the end-user agreement. As the PC-Security is powered by F-Secure Corporation, this is the end-user agreement of F-Secure Corporation. Check the I accept the license terms button if you accept the license agreement then the downloading process windows will be shown as below. PC-Security Service Installation Guide Page: 4

5 This will take around 2-3 minutes to complete the download of the files. Step 5: Input your assigned subscription key into the license input boxes as shown below The key should be entered with hyphen (e.g. XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX), after that, click Next to verify the key and bring up a selection window. 6 Step 6: Select PC-Security option and then click the Install button to continue, the Real-Time Protection Selection window will be shown as below. Tick the boxes to enable automatic data contribution for analysis or click the Next button to start installing the PC-Security software. PC-Security Service Installation Guide Page: 6

7 If you didn t remove any existing security software you had installed on your computer before you started installing PC-Security, it will detect the most common conflicting software and remove them. Because of this you may see some additional steps. Just follow the instructions on the screens that appear. Your computer will need to be restarted if software needs to be removed. It will then copy and updates setup files. This will take around 5-10 minutes to complete. Once the installation process completed, you will be prompted to restart you PC as shown below: Step 7: Select Restart option to complete the installation. Your PC-Security software has been installed successfully. Once your restart the computer, you can enjoy the Business NETVIGATOR PC-Security service! PC-Security Service Installation Guide Page: 7

8 Appendix A License Key Retrieval (for administrator only) Each installation of PC-Security requires a separate and valid license key in order to activate the service. License key can be retrieved from Business NETVIGATOR Service Portal. Following the procedure below to carry out the installation: Step 1: Step 2: Open a Web browser, e.g., Internet Explorer. Type in in the URL address input box to access to Business NETVIGATOR Service Portal. Step 3: Step 4: Step 5: At the Customer login section as squared in red below, type in the address (the administrator login) in Login input box Type in the password in the Password input box. 9 If login succeed, the following Business NETVIGAOTR Service Portal page will be shown: Step 6: Step 7: Select Administration tag on the menu bar. Click PC-Security under Change Settings menu. License key(s) will be shown. The number of license keys shown depends on the number of license that you subscribed. PC-Security Service Installation Guide Page: 9

10 Appendix B License Key Assignment (for administrator only) For customer subscribed more than one license, it is strongly recommend to record which license key has been assigned to which PC as it would be very useful for reporting lost of license key in case it is being stolen somehow. You can simply make use of the tool that Business NETVIGATOR provides for you to record the license assignment. Follow the procedures below to enter PC description associated with the license key assigned to: Step 1: Continue from step 7 from the section 2 above. Step 2: Click the Edit button. 11 Step 3: Input descriptive name for easy identifying which PC the associate license assigned to. Step 4: Click the Submit when finished assigning PC description. Step 5: Done. This is the end of the documentation. PC-Security Service Installation Guide Page: 11
