Section 1 - Getting Started Depositing funds You can only deposit funds in your MT4 account via your Client Area on the INFINOX website. Simply by following this link: https://infinox.

Once you have successfully deposited your funds, you will be able view your balance on the Trade tab in the MT4 platform Terminal.

Simply by following this link: you can access your client area and deposit funds directly into your MT4 trading account. Once you have successfully deposited your funds, you will be able view your balance on the Trade tab in the MT4 platform Terminal. Installing the Meta Trader 4 Platform You can find instructions on how to install the MT4 platform on the account details template sent by the INFINOX client support team. You can also install the platform by following this link: ( Windows installation ). If you re still having difficulty logging in, then you can contact a member of the customer support team on the live chat function ( ). Page 3

5 How to log in to MT4 Account In order to login to your MT4 trading account, please see the following: Go to File > Login to Trade Account Once you have installed the MT4 platform, enter your correct login details and server when accessing your live/demo trading account. New Order: Enables the window to open/close a position or to place a new pending order. Chart: Enables the chart of all instruments displayed. Tick Chart: Only accessible for certain instruments.

6 Section 2 - Trading on MT4 Market Watch Window In short, this is the MT4 s hub. You ll see all the symbol pairs on the left, view the spread on all currency pairs along with the bid and ask price, etc. Activate this by selecting CTRL+M key combination or View > Market Watch. New Order: Enables the window to open/close a position or to place a new pending order. Chart: Enables the chart of all instruments displayed. Tick Chart: Only accessible for certain instruments. Hide: Selecting a specific currency pair will hide this from the list. Hide All: Hides all symbols from the list in the Market Watch window which are not used (if you have open positions or charts, the symbols will not be hidden). Show All: Displays all available symbols in the Market Watch window. Symbols: Enables the window where you can hide/show the selected instruments. Sets: Saves/adjusts/deletes the custom settings for the Market Watch window. High/Low: This shows/hides columns with the highest and lowest prices for each instrument; Time displays a column with the arrival time of the latest quote for each instrument. Page 5

The spread is the pip difference between the BID and ASK. To view the spreads on the market watch, right click the market watch and select spreads.

7 Grid: Hide /unhide gridlines in the Market Watch window. Popup Prices: Opens the popup window which contains real time quotes for your selected instruments. Spreads: Currency quotes are always represented with a Bid offer and an Ask offer. This denotes the price difference between buying and selling. The spread is the pip difference between the BID and ASK. To view the spreads on the market watch, right click the market watch and select spreads. Customising Market Watch Press CTRL+U and you ll see a window with all the pairs available. Choose which ones you want by clicking Hide / Show on the specific symbol. Open a position Right-click on Market Watch for the instrument you want to trade and select New Order. Alternatively, you can enable One Click Trading by silmply clicking Sell or Buy and select your volume size: You can either choose Market Execution or Pending Order. Page 6

Market Execution: This sends a request to fill your order immediately at the next available price. You have the option to either buy or sell at that current price.

4 types of different pending order: Buy Stop An order to open a Buy position at a level higher than the current price Sell Stop An order to open a Sell position at a level lower than the current

Before placing a trade, you can adjust the following details in the Order window. Pending Order: A Pending Order is an instruction to open a position when the current price reaches the order level. 4 types of different pending order: Buy Stop An order to open a Buy position at a level higher than the current price Sell Stop An order to open a Sell position at a level lower than the current price Buy Limit An order to open a Buy position at a level lower level than the current price Sell Limit An order to open a Sell position at a level higher than the current price Symbol Select the instrument you require to trade Volume Number of lots Stop Loss Level of Stop Loss Take Profit Level of Take Profit Comment Note will appear in that trade in your report Stop Loss and Take Profit Orders Stop Loss An order that closes out your trading position when your losses on that trade reach a loss amount, once the price has been hit Take Profit An order that automatically cashes you out once the position reaches a certain level in order to profit from your trade A Stop Loss or Take Profit will be executed automatically as soon as the price reaches the order level, so no need to monitor that trade and close manually. To remove your stop loss or take profit, simply set TP or SL level equal to 0. Page 7

9 Viewing your Trade Once a position has been opened you will be able to see the list of trade(s) in the Terminal window of the Meta Trader 4 platform. You can access this by selecting View > Terminal. Alternatively, you select on your keyboard function CTRL+T. Close your position Right-click on the currency pair opened that you would like to close. Choose Close Order and accept the terms and conditions. The terms and conditions will only appear the first time you close a position. Right-click on the pair again and choose Close Order. Alternatively, select the x against your position towards the right of your panel at the bottom of the window. Page 8

Example: 20 pips (MT4 uses points rather than pips 1 pip = 10 points) see below: No Stop Loss order will be placed until the open position is in profit of at least 20 pips.

10 Trailing Stop A Trailing Stop is an algorithm that manages a Stop Loss order. A Fixed Trailing Stop is an advanced entry order designed to move a stop forward a specific amount of pips after a position has moved in your favour. Example: 20 pips (MT4 uses points rather than pips 1 pip = 10 points) see below: No Stop Loss order will be placed until the open position is in profit of at least 20 pips. An instruction will be sent by Meta Trader 4 to place the Stop Loss order 20 pips higher or lower than the current price. As a result, the Stop Loss order becomes closer to the current price. Note - it s very important that no Trailing Stop Loss order will be placed until the market moves in your favour. Right click the trade > Trailing Stop Market Depth If you would like to enter a trade at the market price, and at the same time set up your Stop Loss and Take Profit, the Market Depth window will allow you to simply click ALT+B. The Middle Line signifies the current market price: Price above the Middle Line are the prices above the current price Price below the Middle Line are the prices below the current price At the bottom of the window towards the middle of the market depth refers to the size of the trade. Simply select close in order to cancel your position. Page 9

11 Section 3 Charts The MT4 platform lets you view several real time charts all on one screen. Simply select the symbol you want to view on the market watch, hold the mouse and drag to the chart section. Alternatively, right click the symbol on the market watch and select Chart Window. Once you have selected the charts you require to view, simply select ALT+R this will automatically arrange all your current charts. Page 10

Chart Periods Chart periods can be amended in your toolbar by selecting your specific timeframe. Right click the Chart > Timeframes Alternatively, this can be amended in the Meta Trader 4 toolbar.

Historic prices on Charts Scrolling back on the Chart to view previous prices, on the toolbar, ensure the Scroll Chart is not selected. If this field is selected, you will not be able to scroll back to previous timeframes. Page 11

13 CrossHairs CrossHairs can help you measure the distance between two points providing the information related to the date and time of any point on a chart. Here s an example on a Daily chart between two prices: 11 periods/920 points (92 pips)/price Ask Price In order to view the Ask Line (Price)on the chart window: Right Click on the Chart > Properties (F8) > Common > Show Ask Line Page 12

Each bar has a high (top), a low (bottom), an opening price (the left horizontal line) and a closing price (right horizontal little line) for the specified period, which can be as short as an hour. Candlestick Chart Instead of having a skinny bar, the candlestick has a body and shadows, the body shows the difference between the opening and the closing price while the shadows show how far the price has gone in the period. Create a Candlestick Chart by: Right clicking the chart > Properties > Common > Candlestick Chart Alternatively select ALT+1 or select the appropriate chart from the toolbar. Page 14

16 Tick Chart The tick chart tool can be used to precisely visualize Ask vs Bid Price when entering a trade. The prices move simultaneously incorporating a current spread between Bid and Ask price. Right click the Market Watch > Tick Chart Alternatively, select Space Bar on the keyboard when selecting the symbol on the Market Watch. Page 15

17 Templates If you want to keep a visual setting of a chart including the indicators applied, you can save and apply these specific settings on another chart by using Template function. Right Click the Chart > Template > Save Template Page 16

Section 4 Settings Options This function is particularly important if you like to modify settings of your trading account.

Expert Advisors (EAs). Select the MQL4 Folder to find folders for EAs and Indicators.

Changing your password Under the Server tab you can change your current password or under Events tab you can make changes to your password, sounds or alerts. Click on CTRL+O or select Tools > Options > Expert Advisor Data Folder This is where you can download and save favourite indicators or Expert Advisors (EAs). Select the MQL4 Folder to find folders for EAs and Indicators. File > Open Data Folder It s important to select the MQL4 Folder where you will find folders for EAs and Indicators. If you ve already downloaded an indicator and want to apply it to MT4, simply copy the file and put it in your Expert or Indicators folder. You ll then have to close and restart the MT4 platform. Profiles The Profiles function allows you to save your favourite chart or set of charts

You ll find this useful if you have charts you use regularly. You can rename profiles or delete them. Whenever you re using a chart that you wish to save, click on the bottom of the screen where it says Default. You ll be able to save the current chart settings and apply them to any other chart. This will be useful if you have a specific setting you want on different charts. Page 18

Indicators Indicators are a great analytical tool and it s very important you find the one that suits you.

Insert > Indicator You can change the parameters of your chosen indicator under Options.

Another option is to press CTRL+ I, which will bring up your indicator list and you can then choose one to adjust.

Another option is to press CTRL+ I, which will bring up your indicator list and you can then choose one to adjust. Customising Indicators If you double-click on an indicator in the Navigator window, you ll be able to programme your indicator. This function is quite advanced, and we recommend you get more information before changing various parameters. Page 19

21 Installing indicators All the indicators are stored in the Indicator folder, which you can find in the MQL4 folder. To apply your newly downloaded indicator, copy and paste the Indicator file into the Indicator folder. Right click on the market watch > Specification If the FX pair is quoted in 5 decimal places, the PIP value is on the 4 th decimal place (0.000X0). 23 Account History Statement The MT4 platform lets you access your entire account history. You can specify a time period and save either a report (automatically gets sent to the registered address every night) or a detailed report that illustrates a chart and further detailed information. Terminal > Account History > Right Click > Save as Detailed Report. Page 22

You may wish to contact the team at support@infinox.com. Multiple MT4 accounts on one platform You can also have multiple accounts available in the Navigator window. In order to access your sub-account you have previously logged into, double click on this account in the Navigator window. Page 23

Once you have installed the platform for the second time on your computer, ensure you change the file name.

25 Multiple MT4 accounts on one computer If you wish to have a multiple number of platforms running on your computer, you will need to download the installation file every time. For example, for 2 platforms to be running, you will need to install the file twice. Once you have installed the platform for the second time on your computer, ensure you change the file name. To install the MetaTrader 4 Platform, follow this link: Select settings and in Program group enter a different name. In this case, a number 2 has been inserted. Page 24

26 Useful tips and shortcuts Left arrow scroll chart to the left Right arrow scroll chart to the right Up arrow quickly scroll chart to the left or (if the scale is defined) scroll chart downwards. Numpad 5 restores chart vertical scale to its original default. If the scale is defined, the chart returns to its visible range. Page Up scroll a whole screen to the right.
