2 V-Sperm Features and Benefits is a video and data management software program that works together with the SQA-V to: Manage and report test results, patient information and quality control data from the SQA-V Expand the video features of the SQA-V visualization system and allow video capture capabilities Provide many extra features to customize semen analysis reporting and archiving Manage default and CONTROL settings of the SQA-V Add I-Button tests to the SQA-V

5 Navigating through V-Sperm Button driven: Click to easily access the various features Nine Navigation buttons: Always available to help navigate through the software Sub menus: When a navigation button is activated, sub menus appear across the top of the screen Icons: Indicate file attachments or record selection

6 Locating, Selecting and Authorizing Records Select the PATIENT DATA navigation button and three options will appear: Patient List Search by Patient Authorization List

7 Patient Data > Patient List Click on the COLUMN TITLES to sort the records by Patient ID, Name, Test Date, etc. Click on the ARROW to select a record

8 Patient Data > Patient List > Patient Data Screen Many functions can be performed from the PATIENT DATA SCREEN: Graphs, videos and pictures can be viewed and attached to records The patient name can be entered Manual test results can be entered Test reports can be run Records can be authorized

9 Patient Data > Patient List > Patient Data Screen > Attach Video/Picture To attach videos and pictures: Insert a slide or testing capillary in the SQA-V visualization system Select a patient record Click: PREVIEW VIDEO CAPTURE PICTURE OR CAPTURE VIDEO STOP CAPTURING

10 Patient Data > Patient List > Patient Data Screen > Enter Data Input manual test results and add comments to the semen analysis record by clicking on the appropriate box and entering information View changes made to the patient record by clicking: TRACEABILITY

11 Patient Data > Patient List > Patient Data Screen > Enter Data > Test Report Arrows will indicate if test results are high or low

12 Patient Data > Patient List > Patient Data Screen > Enter Data > View Images Select a test record with a camera icon Click the View Images button and an Image Browser will appear Highlight the desired image/video clip to be viewed Attach a picture (not a video clip) to a semen analysis report by clicking in the column with the report icon A report icon will now appear indicating a picture is attached

13 Patient Data > Patient List > Patient Data Screen > Enter Data > Authorize Authorizing Tests: Single Test: Select a patient record and click the AUTHORIZE button Group of Tests: Select PATIENT DATA > AUTHORIZATION LIST Select the records to authorize by clicking on the column next to the desired records Click: AUTHORIZE

17 Real Time Video Activate the VIDEO navigation button to view semen samples live from the SQA-V visualization system. Select one of two buttons: Real Time Video: Activates the video and 7 options Video Settings: Select grid size, color and video compression

18 Import Test and Import/Export Test results need to be transferred from the SQA-V into the V-Sperm. There are two ways to do this: After running each test a message will appear on the SQA-V: TO TRANSFER TEST RESULTS TO V-SPERM: PRESS IMPORT TEST BUTTON IN V-SPERM To transfer the entire SQA-V archive: From the SQA-V MAIN MENU select: SERVICE > SERVICE DATA then From the V-Sperm IMPORT/EXPORT select: IMPORT DATA>IMPORT ARCHIVE (OR IMPORT CONTROLS) and follow the screen instructions

19 Setting Up the SQA-V and V-Sperm Click on V-Sperm to set-up: Authorized Users Customizing Reports Acceptable ranges for test results Language Click on SQA-V to set-up: Date format, Chamber and Morphology standard Automatic printing options Controls defaults Add I-button tests

20 Set-up > V-Sperm > Authorized Users To SET-UP>V-Sperm> : Administrator: Full rights to all features. Set-up users and assign passwords, approve test results. Authorizing Signature: Approve test results. Cannot setup new users but has all other rights. Test Performed By: Cannot set-up users/passwords and cannot authorize results/reports but has all other rights. Ordering Physician: View only rights.

21 Set Up > V-Sperm > Report To set-up > V-Sperm : The FOUR options below are available to customize the semen analysis report. Simply click on the desired button.

22 Set-up > V-Sperm > Report Select information: Click on the column to select the test parameters to be viewed on the V-Sperm screens and reported on the Semen Analysis Report

23 Set-up > V-Sperm > Report To set normal range defaults for test parameters: Click on the arrow pointing to the parameter to be edited Enter the desired SYMBOL and VALUE from the NORMAL RANGE SETTINGS screen that automatically appears

24 Set-up > V-Sperm > Report Enter testing facility information: Click: On each information box Enter: The appropriate information and click the box SHOW IN REPORT Click: APPLY

25 Set-up > V-Sperm > Report To customize a language select Other 1 or Other 2 : Click on the Language drop-down menu Enter the test parameter descriptions in any language Click: APPLY

26 Set-up > SQA-V Two options are available from the Set-up > SQA-V buttons: SQA-V Defaults: The SQA-V system and control defaults can be set-up I-Button: I-Button tests are loaded in V-Sperm and transferred to the SQA-V In order to set-up defaults both the SQA-V and V-Sperm must be connected and activated: Activate the SERVICE DATA screen of the SQA-V by going to: MAIN MENU>SERVICE>SERVICE DATA

27 Set-up > SQA-V > SQA-V Defaults Enter SQA-V and Control data in the appropriate sections of the table displayed above. If control ranges are not available, enter 0 Click: APPLY to accept the default settings Click: REPORT to print out the default setting

28 Set-up > SQA-V > I-Button I-Buttons are required to add tests to the SQA-V. A new button is held firmly in the I-button port of the SQA-V, read in V-Sperm and tests are transferred back to the SQA-V. From the SQA-V select: MAIN MENU > SERVICE > ADD I-BUTTON TESTS In V-Sperm click on: SET UP>SQA-V > I-BUTTON Press and FIRMLY hold a new I-Button against the port of the SQA-V When V-Sperm confirms that tests have been loaded, release the I-Button
