1 Cinegration Development HunterDouglas PowerView Gen.2 Overview The HunterDouglas PowerView driver brings seamless control your HunterDouglas PowerView Gen.2 Hub. You will have full control of shades, multi-position shades, louvers, scenes, and scene collections. This driver uses Control4 s SDDP protocol for an even simpler installation experience. Auto Update Step-by-step tutorial available at cloud.drivercentral.io To enable automatic updates for this driver, ensure you have connected your DriverCentral.io cloud driver and the Automatic Updates property field is set to On. Installation 1) Install all driver c4z files in your Control4 drivers folder. 2) Since this driver uses the SDDP protocol, navigate to the Discovered tab within composer. Double-click on the PowerView hub in the discovered tab. Note: You may choose to enter the IP address instead of SDDP. If you do this, please ensure that you have a static DHCP reservation set for that IP address. 3) Your PowerView hub will automatically load into the room of your choice, as well as populate with all of the correct shade bindings & scene bindings. The amount of shade and scenes found will be displayed under the Driver Status property field. 4) Navigate to the driver search tab, add one shade/scene per shade or scene that is in your project. 5) Now that you have your shades loaded, navigate to the connections tab for your PowerView Hub. You will see all of your available bindings, bind your scenes/shades to the appropriate scenes and shades.

2 6) You will notice that the individual shades and scenes are automatically renamed. You have the option to turn the Auto Rename on or off within the driver properties. If left on, the shade names will always stay in sync with the PowerView app. 7) If you have shades that have multiple movement positions, such as Louvers/Vanes, Blackout shades, or a Top-Down/Bottom-Up movement, please follow these next steps. 8) For shades that have alternate movements you will have to make an individual binding for that shade. Navigate to that individual shades connection tab.

3 9) You will see (3) additional bindings, PowerView Secondary Movement This is for a shades secondary movement, most likely a blackout shade. If there s another movement on a shade and its not a Vane/Louver, then add another PowerView shade and bind it to this binding. PowerView Vane/Louver This is for shades that have Vane/Louvers on them. If it s a Vane or Louver, Load another PowerView Shade and bind it to this binding. PowerView Secondary Top-Down/Bottom-Up This binding is for shades that are top-down/bottom-up shades. Such as the Duette & Applause honeycomb TDBU shades. Load another PowerView shade and bind it to this binding. 10) You will notice once you make your alternate shade movement bindings the corresponding shade will update with the appropriate information. Be sure to select the correct Blind Type and Blind Movement from the panel at the top of the property s for your individual shades. Note: If your shade s are not responding, switch to the PowerView ios or Android app and try to make a shade movement from the app. If there is no movement then consider adding additional PowerView Hubs and Repeaters.

4 11) For shades that you have made a Louver/Vane binding, you have two options of displaying that on your Control4 s navigators and app. You can have separate icons for the louver and main shade movement, or you can combine them into one icon. If you have shade s with (3) different movements such as a Main Shade, Louver, and Blackout Shade. You can combine the louver and main shade, but not the blackout shade. Follow the next step for a howto on how to combine the Louver/Vane and Main Shade. 12) Navigate to the main shade that has the alternate louver movement. Ensure that you have bound the PowerView Secondary Movement connection. You will then proceed to bind the connection titled BLIND_SECONDARY_CONTROL. 13) Now that you have bound your connections, If you have any combined shades with

5 Louver movements be sure to hide the louver shade from navigator. You don t need it to show within navigator since you will have access to it on the main shade s navigator icon. 14) Your scenes that you have loaded are Control4 experience buttons, unfortunately you cannot view them within the shade interface due to Control4 limitations. However, you may load them into the Comfort, Listen, Security, and Watch menu s. 15) For scenes that you would like displayed via Control4 s UI, you must manually unhide them by going to your rooms navigator options, select modify. And unhide all of the experience buttons that you wish to show. You must do this for each room you intend these scenes to be in. 16) You will notice that the Scene buttons will stay color coordinated with the same color that is selected within the PowerView app. 17) You may also trigger scenes via programming actions, light bindings, and anything you can set your imagination to. 18) Enjoy. DriverCentral Step-by-step tutorial available at cloud.drivercentral.io 1) Create your project in the DriverCentral.io project portal. This will generate your project token.

6 2) Download and load the DriverCentral.io cloud driver into your project, you only need one per a project. 3) Use your project token that you have from step one and input it into the Project Token properties field within the cloud driver in your Control4 project. 4) Once you have your project connected with DriverCentral.io your driver will be automatically licensed and auto update will be active. Properties Cloud Status - This is the current status of your cloud driver connectivity. Driver Version - This is the current version of your driver. Automatic Updates Turn automatic updates on or off for this driver. Driver Status - Shade information will prompt you if you have missed any of the steps involved with setup off the driver. Driver Actions - This tab will give you selections for a range of different settings to customize your individual shades. Such as reversing the shade direction, and sending the stop command at the end of the movement. Change Log Version Release Warranty Cinegration strives to provide fully working drivers without defects. However, changes and bugs may be found. Because of this, any bug/maintenance update to this driver will be free of charge. However, due to the ever changing nature of computer and audio/video systems, if a new version of the Control4 software creates issues with this driver, or feature enhancements, an upgrade version will be provided.
