1 Jump Desktop Mobile Device Access to Cornerstone You can have your Cornerstone database at your fingertips (literally!) when you are out of your office through an ipad, iphone, Android mobile phones, and tablets. Keep in mind, the larger the screen of your device -- the easier it is to read your information. Want to go paperless? Equip your techs with handheld devices so they can see their schedules and have the service tickets and other relevant subscriber information available. Train your techs to close out service tickets, the invoice to the subscriber, and take payment (credit card or checking debit) while still at the subscriber location. Want to see how? It is available at the Apple app store for $14.99 or from the Google Play store for androids for slightly less. ios Client To install Jump, you must have an ios version 9 or later. Jump is available for download from the Apple App Store. Once installed, the user can add a new Connection by going into the app, and clicking on the + Sign in the top right corner. Android Client The Android client is available for download from the Google Play Store. To install, you must have Android device with Android version or later. 2 Making the Connection There is user documentation available on their website, however the following pages provide you with what you need to know to get set up. If you are configuring for the first time, you need to create a Manual Connection. Open Jump, tap the + in the top right corner OR click on Manual Setup. Select Manual Setup or the + at top right Enter into spot for Host name or IP: Port should be 3389 Type should be RDP Save Cornerstone Billing Solutions 2

3 After saving, you can then change the name of the icon to Cornerstone. Now touch the to finish the setup the following will be required for a successful RDP Connection: 1. Server Hostname: (call it Cornerstone) 2. The server address/ip: 3. Username and password to authenticate with the Cornerstone server. 4. Domain Name (cfibilling) Touch the field and a keypad should appear. You can store your username and password, but for security reasons, you may wish to connect without a stored password. Touch the top label to change the name of the icon from to Cornerstone. Next click on the > for autologon and enter your information Your Username is the Letter Letter and number that we have assigned to you (example:zz1). Type cfibilling as the Domain. Enter your password if you wish to store it Be sure you have password protected your device! Once entered click save; then launch the connection from the Cornerstone Icon. 4 Enter the User Name: (your Letter letter #) Enter your password if you wish to save it Enter Domain: cfibilling The defaults are best, but you can try different settings if the display needs adjustment. The Gear Icon in the upper left has additional settings DO NOT Sign in from the gear Use the Cornerstone Icon. Once the host server / Cornerstone icon is established, you can connect by tapping on the icon. If you did not save your password, you will be prompted to enter it. Getting the data entered: 1. Tap in the password space to get the keyboard, and enter your password. 2. Touch the Keyboard icon at the bottom right to hide the keyboard You will need to do this to log into the Cornerstone Billing Solutions 4

5 Make sure to use YOUR RDP login (example: XX1) ***NOTE: If your fingers are too big to click in such a tiny space, touch the ipad screen with your thumb and forefinger together and then spread them apart...to make the screen larger. To shrink it back to normal, reverse the motion on the screen. You can also purchase inexpensive stylus pens on the internet. You can change the orientation of the device from landscape to portrait if needed. For example, to see a service ticket and the keyboard at the same time. A tutorial will show key strokes that you need to use. Use the Keyboard icon to activate the keyboard and the Settings Gear to change to mouse mode instead of finger / stylus touch. At the top of your screen you can show or hide the settings bar. Cornerstone Billing Solutions 5

6 This Keyboard from the bar, as well as the one you can activate from the lower right keyboard icon, has a tab button that makes it easy to move from data entry field to field. Click on the bottom right on the keyboard to hide it. Click on the wrench to choose the Gesture Profile We prefer the Pen Mode as it allows the finger / thumb motion to make the screens larger or smaller. Cornerstone Billing Solutions 6

8 Remote Access Remote access is useful for technicians or sales people in the field. You can set their logins to connect directly to their Day s Calendar and click on the Appointments for the Service Ticket. Get Pre-Authorization And / Or Completion Signatures for the work. 1. Click on the Signatures button and select the one you want. 2. Choose the Setting Pen to make it easy to capture a signature. 3. The customer can use their finger or stylus to sign in the box. Either have the office or the Tech generate the Invoice from the ticket by adding the service item parts and labor and then launch the AlarmPayments Portal to take the payment on the spot. 9 Security Permissions You should review the security permissions in detail so that you allow access to only the information you want them to have. You can restrict access to sections of information completely or restrict the ability to add, modify, or delete information. For allowing remote access for Technicians to access their Tickets via a daily Calendar that defaults to that user: On the Calendar Tab Select Restrict to this User Only and the user can only view his/her calendar and unscheduled appointments. On the Miscellaneous Tab select Appointments for the daily Calendar to appear at log in. You can set additional defaults for the user as needed.
