3 Chapter 1: Seavus Project Viewer Live Update Instructions Note: Live Update option is available only for Standard license. PERFORM LIVE UPDATE STEP #1 Start the Live Update by: - Going to Start/All Programs/Seavus and choosing Seavus Live Update option or - By selecting the Live Update option from the Help menu in Seavus Project Viewer: o if in GUI Ribbons mode: File/Help/Live Update Page 2

4 o If in GUI Standard Toolbars mode: Help/Live Update When the Live Update is started, it will contact our secure Live Update Server using the https protocol and will check for available updates. If there are available updates on the server it will present you the available update packages with a short description for each of them. STEP #2 You will have the opportunity to select the updates that you want to be installed on your computer by selecting the check-box next to the item, or by double-clicking on the update text. Please note that you must have an Internet connection in order to be able to perform live update. Page 3

5 STEP #3 After clicking on Next, the downloading process will be started. STEP #4 Once you have successfully downloaded the update(s), you will need to start the installation process. Click on Next to continue. Page 4

6 STEP #5 In order to continue with the upgrade of the Seavus Project Viewer, please click on Yes. After this, the installation wizard starts where you should enter the License Key and other options. Note: If you have additionally purchased the Task Update feature, you will be provided with a new License Key that will activate this feature. The new Key can be entered during the Live Update installation or after installing with the old Key; Page 5

7 PERFORM LICENSE CHANGE STEP #1 In case you have additionally purchased Task Update feature and you have used your old license Key during the Live Update, in order to activate the new feature start Seavus Project Viewer and select the Change License option from the Help menu: o if in GUI Ribbons mode: Program Options/Help/ Change License o If in GUI Standard Toolbars mode: Help/Change License Page 6

8 STEP #2 Enter your new License Key in the newly opened window and click on the OK button to confirm the change. If the License Key you had entered was valid and the changing process went well you will get this confirmation message: Page 7

9 Otherwise, if the License Key was invalid or the changing process did not complete, the following message is shown: STEP #3 In order to complete the License Key changing process you will have to restart Seavus Project Viewer and activate your new license.
