3 1 Overview CDSL Mobile is the ChemDraw for ipad App available to our ChemBioOffice Site License customers. Authorized users of CDSL Mobile must create an account, enroll their device, install the CDSL Mobile app, and then launch the app on their device. Once users create their accounts, Administrators can manage the license distribution to these users within their organization. As an Administrator you can: Add other Administrator Accounts Deactivate Users Activate Users Delete Users View all Enrolled Devices This document is intended for Administrators and describes the procedures to add other Administrator accounts and manage App users using the web portal at Adding Additional Administrator Accounts You can add additional administrator accounts from the web portal. Administrators manage all CDSL Mobile users within their organization. To add an Administrator Account: 2. Click Accounts on the left-most side of the portal. 3. Select List View under Administrators. 4. Click Add User under List View. The Add User dialog appears. 5. Click the Basic tab. 6. User Type: Retain the default, Basic. 7. Enter the required information for this administrator. Note: Required information is denoted by a red asterisk (*). 8. Message Type: Click the radio button. 9. Retain all default fields as defined. 6 12. Organization Group: Enter or select your organization group name. 13. Role: Select Customer Admin from the drop-down menu. 14. Click Save. The new administrator account is added to the portal. 7 1.2 Deactivating Users You can deactivate users who no longer should have access to the CDSL Mobile app. When you deactivate a user, their status is changed to Inactive on the web portal. By deactivating a user, the user would be unable to authenticate their account against the web portal and you make their license available for another user. Note: Deactivating a user does not delete this user s account from the portal. Consequently, you can re-activate this user at a later date. To deactivate a user: 2. Click Accounts on the left-most side of the portal. 3. Select List View under Users to view all users. 4. Check the box to the left of the username of the user you want to deactivate. 5. Click Management to open a drop-down menu. 6. Click Deactivate under the Management drop-down menu. The user you selected in step 4 is deactivated and their status on the portal is changed to Inactive. 1.3 Activating Users As an administrator, you can activate inactive users that you might have deactivated at any time. To do this, you change their status from inactive to active in the web portal. Note: Before you can activate a user, the user must first create their account for them to appear on the CDSL Mobile portal. To activate a user: 2. Click Accounts on the left-most side of the portal. 3. Select List View under Users to view all users. 4. Check the box to the left of username of the user you want to activate. 5. Click Management to open a drop-down menu. 6. Click Activate under the Management drop-down menu. The user you selected in step 4 is activated and their status on the portal is changed to Active. 8 1.4 Deleting Users As an administrator, you can delete users from the web portal. When you delete a user, their account information is erased. Note: You cannot delete users with enrolled devices. To delete such users, you will first need to delete the user s devices. For more information, see Section 1.6 Deleting a User s Enrolled Devices. To delete a user: 2. Click Accounts on the left-most side of the portal. A menu displays. 3. Select List View under Users to view all users. 4. Check the box to the left of username of the user you want to delete from the portal. 5. Click Admin to open a drop-down menu. 6. Click Delete under the Admin drop-down menu. 9 The user you selected in step 4 is deleted and their account information is erased from the portal. 1.5 Viewing Enrolled Devices With administrator privileges, you can view all enrolled devices for your organization using the web portal. Note: An enrolled device is a device that has been enrolled by a user via a validation or by navigating to the enrollment URL. A device must be enrolled before the user can install the CDSL Mobile app on their device. To view all enrolled devices: 2. Click Devices on the left-most side of the portal. A menu displays. 3. 10 1.6 Deleting a User s Enrolled Devices With administrator privileges, you can delete a user s enrolled device(s). To delete a user s enrolled device(s): 2. Click Devices on the left-most side of the portal. A menu displays. 3. Select List View from the displayed menu. 4. Click on Layout to optionally switch from Summary view to Details view. 5. Optionally filter the list by username, or address, to display only those devices that you want to delete. 6. Select all the devices to be deleted. 7. Click Admin to open a drop-down menu. 8. Click Delete Device under the Admin drop-down menu. 9. On the next screen, provide a reason for the deletion. 10. Click Delete.
