3 Preface Preface Thank you for selecting our product. This guide describes how to configure "Easy UI Solution 2.0" and the precautions you should follow during operation. To get the most out of the Easy UI Solution 2.0 feature and to use it effectively, be sure to read this guide before use. The guide assumes that you are familiar with a personal computer and your machine. For information on a personal computer, refer to the manuals provided with the personal computer. For information on how to operate your machine, refer to the guide (Administrator/User Guide) provided with each machine. 3

4 Using This Guide Using This Guide This guide describes how to operate the Copy, Scan, and Print services after installing "Easy UI Solution 2.0" on your machine and how to configure the system administrator setting. When [Flick and Double-tap] is set to [Enabled] in your machine, for information on the particular operation such as drag and flick, refer to the Administrator Guide or User Guide. Organization of This Guide This guide consists of the following chapters: Easy UI Solution 2.0 Describes each feature of "Easy UI Solution 2.0". Custom Menu Describes the items which can be set on "Custom Menu" and how to configure the settings. Easy Copy Describes the basic operations and features for "Easy Copy". ScanAuto Describes the basic operations, features, and System Administrator setting for "ScanAuto". Easy Store to Folder Describes the basic operations, features, and System Administrator setting for "Easy Store to Folder". Conventions The screen shots used in this guide and the screens displayed on your machine may be different depending on the software being used due to the upgrades. Some of the items in the screen shots used in this guide may not be displayed or not be available depending on your machine configuration. In this document, "Computer" refers to a personal computer or workstation. For example: When you see the procedure "to search for files and folders, click [Start] > [Search] > [For Files or Folders]", this means that you need to click [Start], click [Search], and then click [For Files or Folders] to search for files and folders. 8 Easy UI Solution 2.0 Easy UI Solution 2.0 "Easy UI Solution 2.0" is the external application which enables users to use the services more easily. When you install the application, the following screen is displayed. On the screen, you can select both the services which are added by installing this application and the existing services. On the "Custom Menu" screen, the drag or flick operation is also available. When you select [All Services] on the "Custom Menu" screen, the Services Home screen is displayed. The service buttons added by installing "Easy UI Solution existing service buttons Important The services displayed by installing the external application such as "Easy Copy", "ScanAuto", "Easy Store to Folder", "Private Charge Print (Print All)", "Private Charge Print (Simple Check)", and the "Custom Menu" screen take a longer time before you can operate the application after it starts than the existing services and screen. For information on how to install/uninstall the application and the environmental setting to use each service included in the application, refer to Easy UI Solution 2.0 Installation Guide. When your machine does not support the Fax service, [Fax] is not displayed. The buttons displayed following [Fax] move to the previous position one by one. "Private Charge Print (Print All)" and "Private Charge Print (Simple Check)" are abbreviated as [Private Charge Print (All)] and [Private Charge Print (Simple)] on the screen respectively. [Private Charge Print (All)] and [Private Charge Print (Simlpe)] are not displayed on the default "Custom Menu" screen. To display these Private Charge Print services on the screen, add the service buttons by referring to "Add Application" (P.17). Moreover, in order to use the Private Charge Print service, the setting is needed. For information on how to set the Private Charge Print, refer to the Administrator Guide. To use the drag or flick operation, [Flick and Double-tap] is needed to be set to [Enabled] in your machine. Easy UI Solution 2.0 Services The following services are added by installing the Easy UI Solution 2.0. Custom Menu The System Administrator can configure the menu screen on which only frequentlyused service buttons are displayed. Not displaying additonal feature buttons and unused service buttons enables users to select the desired button directly. Up to 32 service buttons including the services added by installing the application and existing services can be arranged on the "Custom Menu" screen. The background color of the screen and each button name can be changed. 8

9 Easy UI Solution 2.0 When the Authentication mode is used, Authenticated Users can configure their original "Custom Menu" screen. Ex. Authenticated User A s "Custom Menu" screen Ex. Authenticated User B s "Custom Menu" screen Important "Custom Menu" is not available when [Network Accounting] is selected for [Accounting Type] under [Accounting] on the [Tools] screen. In this case, use the Services Home screen. For information on how to use the Services Home screen, refer to "Before Use of Each Service" > "When Not Using Custom Menu" in Easy UI Solution 2.0 Installation Guide. For Local Users, the System Administrator can restrict the Custom Menu setting. For more information, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.22). For more information, refer to "Custom Menu" (P.12). Easy Copy This service allows you to copy documents easily using the first screen on which only frequently-used service buttons are displayed. Only on tne first screen, you can set the combination such as Pages per Side, 2 Sided, and Booklet Creation which is used for cost reduction. You can configure settings with checking the finish image displayed on the left of the screen. On the [All Features] screen, all the setting items are displayed in a list. You can also configure the setting item which is not displayed on the first screen easily. For more information, refer to "Easy Copy" (P.26). ScanAuto You can scan documents only by loading the documents and pressing the <Start> button. You can scan documents without checking the original orientation, whether the document is 1 sided or 2 sided, and whether 1 sided and 2 sided documents are mixed. A blank page is automatically deleted in this service. 9

10 Easy UI Solution 2.0 The scanned data can be sent to the specified address (the Authenticated User s address when the Authentication feature is enabled) as a PDF or DocuWorks file. For more information, refer to "ScanAuto" (P.37). Easy Store to Folder This service displays the folders available for each user and users can select the storage location of the scanned data easily. In the file name setting, you can use not only the auto setting (YYYY_MMDD_HHMM represents year, month, date, hour, and minute of the time when the scan job starts.) but also the combination of the registered text strings, user name, and date. When the status that the specified folder is selected is saved as a default value, the operation to select the storage location can be skipped. For more information, refer to "Easy Store to Folder" (P.49). Private Charge Print (Print All) This service allows the Authenticated User to print the stored jobs which have not been printed as a Private Charge Print at once. The user can start printing only by selecting this service button on the "Custom Menu" screen without selecting a job on the list of the stored jobs. For more information, refer to "Private Charge Print (Print All)" (P.61). This service button is not displayed on the default "Custom Menu" screen. For information on how to add service buttons, refer to "Add Application" (P.17). 10

11 Easy UI Solution 2.0 Private Charge Print (Simple Check) This service allows you to check the Private Charge Print job on the screen display which is easily viewable. This service also enables the Authenticated User to change the print setting configured from the computer. For instance, when the user sets to 1- sided printing, the setting can be changed to 2-sided printing by the machine when the document is printed. Printing the printed document and transferring / transferred document again is available and you can skip the operation to start printing by the computer. For more information, refer to "Private Charge Print (Simple Check)" (P.66). To Use the Services Home Screen This service button is not displayed on the default "Custom Menu" screen. For information on how to add service buttons, refer to "Add Application" (P.17). "Easy Copy", "ScanAuto", "Easy Store to Folder", "Private Charge Print (Print All)", and "Private Charge Print (Simple Check)" can be selected not only on the "Custom Menu" screen but also on the Services Home screen. Add the desired service buttons to the Services Home screen. For information on how to display the Services Home screen, refer to "Before Use of Each Service" > "When Not Using Custom Menu" in Easy UI Solution 2.0 Installation Guide. When "Easy UI Solution 2.0" is uninstalled, all the services included in it and all the users Custom Menu settings will be deleted. 11

Custom Menu Feature...12 Custom Menu Settings...13 System Administrator Settings...22 Troubleshooting...23 s and Restrictions...24 Custom Menu Feature This section describes how to display the "Custom Menu" screen and the buttons displayed on the "Custom Menu" screen. Displaying Custom Menu Screen 1 Log in to the Authentication mode when the Authentication feature is enabled. 1) Press the <Log In/Out> button on the control panel. 2) Enter the user s ID with the numeric keypad or the keyboard displayed on the screen, and select [Enter]. If the passcode is needed, select [Next] after entering the user s ID and enter the passcode. When you use the IC card, enter the Authentication mode by touching the IC card to the IC card reader. 2 Press the <Services Home> button to display the "Custom Menu" screen. [All Services] Button Pressing this button displays the Services Home screen. Depending on the System Administrator setting, pressing the <Services Home> button also displays the Services Home screen. For information on the setting, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.22). Depending on the System Administrator setting, the [All Services] button may not be displayed on the "Custom Menu" screen for Local Users. For information on the setting, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.22). (Setting Menu) Button Pressing this button allows user to select [Edit Menu], [Add Application], [Other Settings], and [Language]. For more information on [Edit Menu], [Add Application], and [Other Settings], refer to "Custom Menu Settings" (P.13). Selecting [Language] displays the existing screen to switch languages. For more information, refer to the User Guide. 12

13 Custom Menu Switching Pages on Custom Menu Screen You can switch pages by the following procedures when 2 or more pages are displayed on the "Custom Menu" screen. How to switch pages varies depending on the configuration of [Flick and Double-tap]. For information on how to configure [Flick and Double-tap], refer to the Administrator Guide. When [Flick and Double-tap] is [Enabled] Drag or flick Tap the page indicator For instance, to display the second page, tap the second indicator from the left. When [Flick and Double-tap] is [Disabled] Switch pages by selecting [ ] or [ ]. Page Indicators Custom Menu Settings You can arrange and add service buttons, and configure the back ground color using "Custom Menu". This section describes the following items which can be set using "Custom Menu". Edit Menu - Arranging Service Buttons Edit Menu - Customizing Service buttons Edit Menu - Deleting Service buttons Add Application Other Settings - Changing Background Color Other Settings - Default Screen After Login When the Authentication feature is enabled, System Administrator s "Custom Menu" setting is the default value of the Authenticated User s "Custom Menu" setting. When the System Administrator changes the "Custom Menu" setting, the changed setting will be the default value for the user who is authenticated for the first time after the change. The change is not applied to the Authenticated users who have already set their own "Custom Menu". When the button to start a specified external service is displayed on "Custom Menu", the name set in the destination is not displayed, and "Web Application Server N" is displayed. To change the name, refer to "Edit Menu - Customizing Service buttons" (P.14). Edit Menu - Arranging Service Buttons You can arrange service buttons by moving them on the "Custom Menu" screen. Depending on the System Administrator setting, Local Users cannot customize service buttons. For information on the setting, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.22). The [Edit Menu] screen is also displayed by long tap on each service button. 13

14 Custom Menu 1 Select the [ ] (Setting Menu) button on the "Custom Menu" screen. 2 Select [Edit Menu]. 3 Drag and drop any service button to the desired position. A white line is displayed in the move location. When a service button is moved, the service button displayed on the destination screen moves to the next position one by one. When 8 service buttons are arranged on the destination screen, the eighth button moves to the next page. On the source screen, the service buttons displayed on the same page move forward one by one. When a service button moves to the right edge of a page, the button is displayed on the next page. When the next page does not exist, a new page is created. Up to 4 pages can be created. When a service button moves to the left edge of a page, the button is displayed on the previous page. 4 Select [Exit]. Edit Menu - Customizing Service buttons You can customize the name, icon, and feature description of service buttons displayed on the "Custom Menu" screen. Depending on the System Administrator setting, Local Users cannot customize service buttons. For information on the setting, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.22). The name and feature description which are changed by user may not be displayed correctly when the language is switched. The [Edit Menu] screen is also displayed by long tap on each service button. 14

15 Custom Menu 1 Select the [ ] (Setting Menu) button on the "Custom Menu" screen. 2 Select [Edit Menu]. 3 Select a service button to be customized. 4 Select [Change Name / Icon]. 5 Set each item and select [Save]. You can set the icon name with up to two lines (up to 14 single-byte characters for one line). " " (single-byte) cannot be displayed correctly in [Name (Line 1)], [Name (Line 2)], and [Description]. Name (Line 1) You can edit the first line of text string using the keyboard displayed on the touch screen. 15

16 Custom Menu Name (Line 2) You can edit the second line of text string using the keyboard displayed on the touch screen. Icon The current icon is displayed. Selecting [Change Icon] displays the [Change Icon] screen. Select the icon you want to change and then select [Save]. Application The kinds of features are displayed. This item is not editable. Description You can enter the feature description using the keyboard displayed on the touch screen. 6 Select [Exit]. Edit Menu - Deleting Service buttons You can delete the service buttons displayed on the "Custom Menu" screen. Local Users cannot delete service buttons depending on the System Administrator setting. For information on the setting, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.22). The [Edit Menu] screen is also displayed by long tap on each service button. 1 Select the [ ] (Setting Menu) button on the "Custom Menu" screen. 2 Select [Edit Menu]. 16

17 Custom Menu 3 Select a service button to be deleted. 4 Select [Delete]. 5 Select [Yes]. 6 Select [Exit]. Add Application You can select the service buttons to be displayed on the "Custom Menu" screen. Up to 32 service buttons can be displayed on the "Custom Menu" screen. When 32 service buttons are already displayed, delete unnecessary buttons and then add new ones. For information on the setting, refer to "Edit Menu - Deleting Service buttons" (P.16). Local Users cannot add service buttons depending on the System Administrator setting. For information on the setting, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.22). The service buttons which can be displayed are as follows. Service button Service buttons displayed after installing "Easy UI Solution 2.0" Some service buttons which are not supported by your machine may be displayed, however, you cannot use the feature. Media Print - Text Medis Print - Photo Charge Print This service cannot be used when the Authentication feature is disabled. Secure Print Sample Print Delayed Print Private Charge Print This service cannot be used when the Authentication feature is disabled. Folder (Line1) Web Application Server Custom Services This service can be set when you installed Custom Services. For more information on Custom Services, contact our Customer Support Center. Fax Reciving Mode Activity Report Language Setup Print Mode You can add service buttons by the following procedure. 1 Select the [ ] (Setting Menu) button on the "Custom Menu" screen. 18

19 Custom Menu 2 Select [Add Application]. 3 Select the feature which you want to add its service button on the "Custom Menu" screen. You can select multiple service buttons. If you select the feature whose service button is already displayed on the "Custom Menu" screen, the same service button is displayed. WSD stands for Web Services on Devices. 4 Select [Save]. The added service button is displayed in the nearest position to the upper left of the area where any service button is not displayed. Other Settings - Changing Background Color You can change the background color of the "Custom Menu" screen. Depending on the System Administrator setting, Local Users cannot change the background color. For information on the setting, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.22). 1 Select the [ ] (Setting Menu) button on the "Custom Menu" screen. 19

20 Custom Menu 2 Select [Other Settings]. 3 Select [Background Color]. 4 Select a background color. 5 Select [Close] repeatedly until the "Custom Menu" screen is displayed. Other Settings - Default Screen After Login When the Private Charge Print service is enabled, the default screen after login can be changed to the standard Private Charge Print screen or the [Private Charge Print (Simple)] screen. Depending on the System Administrator setting, Local Users cannot change the default screen after login. For information on the setting, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.22). When the Authentication feature and the Private Charge Print service are not enabled, the item cannot be set. When there is no Private Print job, the "Custom Menu" screen is always displayed. 20

21 Custom Menu 1 Select the [ ] (Setting Menu) button on the "Custom Menu" screen. 2 Select [Other Settings]. 3 Select [Default Screen After Login]. 4 Select an item to be displayed as a default screen. Private Charge Print Displays the standard Private Charge Print screen when a Private Charge Print job is stored in the machine. Selecting this item when the standard Private Charge Print service button is not arranged on the "Custom Menu" screen, the button is added to the nearest position to the upper left of the area on which service buttons are not displayed. When all the 32 buttons are arranged, the confirmation screen to delete the last button and replace it to the standard Private Charge Print service button. When the standard Private Charge Print service button is deleted, the default screen after login is automatically changed to the "Custom Menu" screen. 21

22 Custom Menu Private Charge Print (Simple) Displays the [Private Charge Print (Simple)] screen when a Private Charge Print job is stored in the machine. Selecting this item when the [Private Charge Print (Simple)] service button is not arranged on the "Custom Menu" screen, the button is added to the nearest position to the upper left of the area on which service buttons are not displayed. When all the 32 buttons are arranged, the confirmation screen to delete the last button and replace it to the [Private Charge Print (Simple)] service button. When the [Private Charge Print (Simple)] service button is deleted, the default screen after authentication is automatically changed to the "Custom Menu" screen. Custom Menu Always displays the "Custom Menu" screen. 5 Select [Close] repeatedly until the "Custom Menu" screen is displayed. System Administrator Settings The System Administrator can configure whether or not to display the [All Services] button on the "Custom Menu" screen. For Local Users, the System Administrator also can choose whether or not to allow them to edit the "Custom Menu" screen and the operation after pressing the <Services Home> button on the control panel. For the System Administrator, the [All Services] button always appears after login. 1 Press the <Log In/Out> button on the control panel. 2 Enter the System Administrator s user ID with the numeric keypad or the keyboard displayed on the screen, and select [Enter]. If the passcode is needed, select [Next] after entering the System Administrator s user ID and enter the passcode. 3 Select the [ ] (Administrator s Setting) button on the "Custom Menu" screen. 22

23 Custom Menu 4 Select any item. All Services Button Configures whether or not to display the [All Services] button on the "Custom Menu" screen. Allow Local User Customization Configures whether or not to allow Local Users to edit the "Custom Menu" screen. When the Authentication feature is enabled, selecting [Yes] enables Local Users to configure their own "Custom Menu" screen. When the setting is changed from [Yes] to [No], the setting of System Administrator s "Custom Menu" screen applies to Authenticated users "Custom Menu" screen. When [Yes] is selected again, Authenticated users "Custom Menu" screen appears. When Services Home is Pressed Configures which screen appears after pressing the <Services Home> button on the control panel. Select [Display Custom Menu] or [Display Services Home]. Important When [Hide] is set to [All Services Button], selecting [Display Services Home] for [When Services Home is Pressed] is recommended. When [Display Custom Menu] is selected, the Services Home screen cannot be displayed on Local Users screens. 5 Select [Close]. Troubleshooting This section describes troubles that may occur with your machine while using "Custom Menu" and their solutions. Message Cause and Remedy Machine is not ready, or the selected service is unavailable. A system error has occurred. Power off the machine, wait for the Control Panel to turn off, and then power the machine back on. If this fault persists, call your System Administrator. This message is displayed when the "Custom Menu" service cannot be used for some reason. On this screen, select [Close], switch off the machine power, make sure that the touch screen is blank, and then switch on the machine power. If the error persists, contact our Customer Support Center. This message is displayed when your machine detects an error. Follow the onscreen instructions and reboot the machine. If the error persists, contact our Customer Support Center. 23

24 Custom Menu Checking Detail Information Detail information for "Custom Menu" may be required upon contacting us. Follow the procedures below to check the information. For information on how to check the detail information for each service such as [Easy Copy] and [ScanAuto], refer to "Checking Detail Information" of each service. 1 Hold down the <Dial Pause> button on the control panel for over five seconds while the "Custom Menu" screen is displayed. 2 Check the information on the screen. 3 Select [Close]. s and Restrictions This section describes the notes and restrictions to observe when "Custom Menu" is used. Icons which show the features which cannot be used or restricted are not displayed on the "Custom Menu" screen. The external application "Custom Menu" takes a longer time before you can operate the application after it starts than the standard menu and screen. s and Restrictions on the Use of the Authentication Feature The additional notes and restrictions on the use of the Authentication feature are listed below. When [Network Accounting] is set to [Accounting Type] under [Accounting] on the [Tools] screen, "Custom Menu" cannot be used. Up to 1,000 user settings can be saved. When more than 1,000 Authenticated Users are registered, the information of the user whose last date to use the machine is the oldest, is deleted. Select [Services Home] in [Screen Default] under [System Settings] > [Common Service Settings] > [Screen / Button Settings] to show the "Custom Menu" screen as the default screen after login. When [Private Charge Print] or [Private Charge Print (Simple)] is set for [Default Screen After Login] in "Custom Menu", and the identical user logs in continuously, the "Custom Menu" screen is displayed instead of the Private Charge Print screen. In this case, select the Private Charge Print service button to display the Private Charge Print screen. When both of the Smart Card authentication and the authentication using the keyboard entry are used, "Custom Menu" displayed by these two kinds of authentication may be different even when the identical user is authenticated. However, the same setting is applied to the Private Charge Print jobs. 24

25 Custom Menu This feature can be used when [Login to Local Accounts] or [Login to Remote Accounts] is set to [Login Type]. This feature cannot be used when [No Login Required] is set to [Login Type] and IC Card Reader (sold separately) and IC Card Reader (optional) are connected to your machine. Once each user changes the setting of "Custom Menu", even when the System Administrator changes the setting after that, the setting is ignored. When the authentication setting is changed to [No Login Required], each user s "Custom Menu" screen cannot be displayed. Setting [Login to Local Accounts] or [Login to Remote Accounts] displays the "Custom Menu" screen again. Even when the Authenticated User s setting is deleted in your machine, the user s "Custom Menu" setting is not deleted. When the user information whose User ID is the same as the deleted user is registered again, the deleted user s "Custom Menu" setting is applied to the new user s setting. Uninstalling "Easy UI Solution 2.0" deletes all users "Custom Menu" settings. When the Authenticated User s user name includes " " (single-byte), the character cannot be displayed correctly. 25

26 Easy Copy Easy Copy "Easy Copy" is the copy service which enables users to operate and configure settings easily. You can configure the main settings only on the first screen and you can confirm the settings on the finish image. This chapter describes the following items for this service. For information on how to load the document, refer to the User Guide. Only standard size paper can be copied in this service. 2 Log in when the Authentication feature is enabled. 1) Press the <Log In/Out> button. 2) Enter the user s ID with the numeric keypad or the keyboard displayed on the screen, and select [Enter]. If the passcode is needed, select [Next] after entering the user s ID and enter the passcode. When you use the IC card, enter the Authenticaton mode by touching the IC card to the IC card reader. 3 Select [Easy Copy] on the "Custom Menu" screen. 26

28 Easy Copy [Easy Copy] Screen The following describes the items which can be set on the [Easy Copy] screen. You can configure settings with checking the illustration displayed on the left of the screen. Button Selecting this button displays [Save Default Setting]. You can save the current settings configured on the [Easy Copy] and [All Features] screens as the default values. The confirmation screen appears. Select [Yes]. Original Select portrait or landscape. Output Color Select from [Auto Detect], [Color], [Black & White], [Dual Color (Red/Black)] and [Other Settings]. Selecting [Other Settings] displays the [Output Color] screen. For information on the [Output Color] screen, refer to "[Output Color] Screen" (P.31). This item is displayed only for color models. For users who cannot use color copy, only [Black & White] is available. For users who cannot use black & white copy, [Auto Detect] and [Black & White] are not available. 2 Sided / Booklet Creation Select from [1 1 Sided], [1 2 Sided (Head Head)], [1 2 Sided (Head Toe)], [2 2 Sided (Head Head)], [1 Sided Booklet Cre...], and [Other Settings]. Selecting [Other Settings] displays the [2 Sided / Booklet Creation] screen. For information on the [2 Sided / Booklet Creation] screen, refer to "[2 Sided / Booklet Creation] Screen" (P.31). When you set Booklet Creation, the left binding or top binding is applied. When binding is available on your machine, a document is bi-folded and stapled, and then copied. When binding is not available on your machine, a document is copied after assigning page numbers in booklet page order. Booklet Creation cannot be set when [Mixed Size Originals] is set on the [All Features] screen. Pages per Side Select from [Off], [2 Pages (Left Right)], [2 Pages (Right Left)], [4 Pages (Right then Down)], and [4 Pages (Down then Right)]. Paper Supply Select the tray which contains the paper for use. From the tray 1 to 4 and [Bypass (Auto Detect)], the paper tray attached to your machine and [Auto Select] are displayed on the screen. The supported paper sizes are A5, A4, A3, B5, B4, 8.5 x 11" (Letter), 8.5 x 13", 8.5 x 14" (Legal), and 11 x 17" (Ledger). Other paper sizes cannot be detected. If a selected paper tray cannot be used for some reason, the tray may be automatically switched to another tray. 28

29 Easy Copy Quantity Enter a copy quantity in the range from 1 to 999. Specify the number by any of the following methods: Use the numeric keypad displayed by selecting the number entry box. If you have entered an incorrect value, press the [C]. After entering the value and selecting [OK], the numeric keypad goes off. Use [+] and [-] buttons. Use the numeric keypad on the control panel. If you have entered an incorrect value, press the <C (Clear)> button on the control panel. [All Features] Screen Reduce / Enlarge Select from [100%], [Auto %], fixed magnifications, and [Other Settings]. Selecting [Other Settings] displays the [Reduce / Enlarge] screen. For information on the [Reduce / Enlarge] screen, refer to "[Reduce / Enlarge] Screen" (P.31). When [Auto %] is set, the options other than [Auto Select] are automatically selected for [Paper Supply]. [100%] and [Auto %] cannot be selected when [Slight Reduction] is set on the [Reduce / Enlarge] screen. When [Pages per Side] and [Booklet Creation] are set, [Auto %] is automatically selected. Staple Select from [Off], [1 Staple], [1 Staple, Top Right], [2 Staples], [2 Staples, Top], and [2 Staples, Right]. This feature is not available for some models. An optional component is required. For more information, contact our Customer Support Center. The items displayed on the screen differ depending on the available features on your machine. The following describes the items which can be set on the [All Features] screen. Button Selecting this button allows you to select from [Save Default Setting] and [Edit List]. Mixed Size Originals You can scan documents of various sizes simultaneously and make copies of the corresponding sizes or of one selected size. Background Suppression You can suppress the background color of documents, such as newspaper and colored paper. Select from [Auto Suppression] and [Off]. [Output Color] Screen You can configure the setting of output color. You also can select the combination of dual colors. Select from [Auto Detect], [Color], [Black & White], and [Dual Color]. When you select [Dual Color], select from [Red/Black], [Green/Black], [Blue/ Black], [Yellow/Black], [Magenta/Black], and [Cyan/Black]. [Reduce / Enlarge] Screen On the [Reduce / Enlarge] screen, specify a copying ratio by selecting buttons or by entering a value directly. When selecting buttons, select from [100%], [Auto %], and fixed magnifications. When entering a value directly, specify a ratio in the range from 25 to 400% by 31

32 Easy Copy entering a value using the numeric keypad on the control panel or [+] and [-]. [Edit List] Screen For information on the copying ratio when copying from the standard-sized document to the standard-sized paper, refer to the User Guide. Slight Reduction When you specify a ratio by fixed magnifications, copying with smaller ratio than the selected ratio is recommended in order to print whole pictures. Check the checkbox to enable this setting. This feature cannot be set when you select [100%] or [Auto %]. On the [Edit List] screen, the order of the items displayed on the [All Features] screen can be changed. To change the order of items, hold the item and drag to a desired position, and then drop it. Troubleshooting This section describes troubles that may occur with your machine while using "Easy Copy" and their solutions. Message Cause and Remedy Out of landscape paper. To use Booklet Creation, load landscape paper in the Paper Tray and select Refresh Paper Tray Status. Only landscape paper can be used for Booklet Creation. Select a Paper Tray with landscape paper or reload the selected Tray with paper in the landscape orientation. This message is displayed when Booklet Creation is set and no tray contains landscape paper. Booklet Creation can be set when landscape paper is loaded. Ensure that landscape paper is loaded and select [Refresh Paper Tray Status]. To cancel Booklet Creation setting, select [Cancel] and configure the settings again. Important Selecting [Refresh Paper Tray Status] directly after setting the tray may not detect the paper status correctly. Wait for a while and select [Refresh Paper Tray Status]. This message is displayed when Booklet Creation is set and the tray which contains portrait paper is selected. Booklet Creation can be set when landscape paper is loaded. Select [Close] to close the message screen and select the tray which contains landscape paper. 32

The paper loaded in all the trays are different from the selected settings. Load the desired paper in one of the tray, and select Refresh Paper Tray Status. All the trays are empty. Load paper in the trays and select Refresh Paper Tray Status. Unable to start. The Copy Limit for this device has been reached. Contact your System Administrator. Unable to start. Wait for jobs to complete and try again later. Unable to start. Deselect 2 Sided or Booklet Creation for Finishing, or select another paper. This message is displayed when Booklet Creation is set and the tray which contains portrait paper is selected. Booklet Creation can be set when landscape paper is loaded. Ensure that landscape paper is loaded and select [Refresh Paper Tray Status]. To cancel the Booklet Creation setting, select [Cancel] and configure the settings again. Important Selecting [Refresh Paper Tray Status] directly after setting the tray may not detect paper status correctly. Select [Refresh Paper Tray Status] after waiting for a while. This message is displayed when Booklet Creation is set and the tray which contains A5 landscape paper is selected. When Booklet Creation is set to A5 paper, the paper cannot be folded and stapled. When you want to continue a job, select [Yes]. When you want to select a tray, select [No] to close the message screen, and then reconfigure the settings. This message is displayed when the Copy service cannot be used for some reason. Switch off the machine power, make sure that the touch screen is blank, and then switch on the machine power. If the error is still not resolved, contact our Customer Support Center. This message is displayed when all the trays are unavailable because no tray contains available paper. Load available paper in a tray and select [Refresh Paper Tray Status]. This message is displayed when [Auto Select] is selected for a tray and no tray contains paper. Load paper in the tray and select [Refresh Paper Tray Status]. This message is displayed when the copy limit for this device has been reached. For the System Administrator, reset the copy limit in [System Administrator s Meter (Copy Jobs)] under [Accounting] on the [Tools] screen. This message is displayed when the <Start> button on the control panel is pressed while processing a job. Select [Close] to close the message screen and try again later. This message is displayed when 2 Sided or Booklet Creation is set and the tray which contains paper not supporting 2 Sided or Booklet Creation is selected. Select [Close] to close the message screen and cancel 2 Sided or Booklet, or select another tray. 33

Select [Close] to close the message screen and cancel Hole Punch, or select another tray. This message is displayed when Staple is set and the tray containing the paper which is not supported for Staple is selected. Select [Close] to close the message screen and cancel Staple, or select another tray. This message is displayed when the tray containing the non-supported sized paper is selected. Select [Close] to close the message screen and select another tray. This message is displayed when this feature cannot be used for some reason. Switch off the machine power, make sure that the touch screen is blank, and then switch on the machine power. If the error is still not resolved, contact our Customer Support Center. The following describes troubles that may occur with your machine when the Authentication feature is enabled and their solutions. Message You do not have access to the selected feature. Unable to start. Your Copy Limit has been reached. Contact your System Administrator. Cause and Remedy This message is displayed when the user who is not allowed to use the Copy service starts this service. For the System Administrator, cancel the [Copy Service] restriction in [Service Access] under [Accounting] > [Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. This message is displayed when user s copy limit has been reached. For the System Administrator, take one of the following measures: Reset the Copy limit in [Reset Total Impressions] under [Accounting] > [Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. Increase the maximum number of allowed pages for the Copy service in [Service Access] under [Accounting] > [Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. 34

35 Easy Copy Message Unable to start. You do not have access to the selected feature. Unable to start. You do not have access to the selected feature, or you are not successfully authenticated. Cause and Remedy This message is displayed when the user who is not allowed to use the Copy service presses the <Start> button. For the System Administrator, cancel the [Copy Service] restriction in [Service Access] under [Accounting] > [Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. Probable causes are as follows: 1. The user who is restricted to use the Copy service presses the <Start> button. 2. The current user is not registered as the Authenticated User. For the System Administrator, for 1), cancel the [Copy Service] restriction in [Service Access] under [Accounting] > [Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. for 2), create the user s account in [Create / View User Accounts] under [Accounting] on the [Tools] screen. Checking Detail Information Detail information for this service may be required upon contacting us. Follow the procedures below to check the information. 1 Hold down the <Dial Pause> button on the control panel for over five seconds while using "Easy Copy". 2 Check the information on the screen. 3 Select [Close]. s and Restrictions This section describes the notes and restrictions to observe when "Easy Copy" is used. Only standard sized paper can be copied in this service. When a finisher cannot be used for some reason and the feature requiring a finisher is set, the setting is automatically canceled and a copy job starts. For instance, when Staple is set in case the staple cartridge needs to be replaced, Staple is canceled and a copy job starts. 35

36 Easy Copy This service is not guaranteed when the devices such as DocuLyzer (sold separately) or CoinKit (sold separately) are connected. Depending on your machine s output setting, an error may occur and paper cannot be output. In case, set a default value in [Output Destination] under [System Settings] > [Copy Service Settings] > [Copy Defaults] on the [Tools] screen. The external application "Easy Copy" takes a longer time before you can operate the application after it starts than the standard menu and screen. s and Restrictions on the Use of the Authentication Feature The additional notes and restrictions on the use of the Authenticated feature are listed below. This service is available when IC Card Reader (sold separately) and IC Card Reader (optional) are connected to your machine. When [Login Type] is set to [Login to Remote Accounts] and another option than [Authentication Agent] is selected for [Authentication System], the service restriction is not applied to the service included in this application. Therefore, even when the Copy service is restricted, "Easy Copy" is available. 36

37 ScanAuto ScanAuto "ScanAuto" enables you to scan documents only by loading documents and press the <Start> button. It is easy to operate this feature for the who use this fearture at the first time. You do not need configure the detailed settings because the machine automatically detects the original orientation, whether the document is 1 sided or 2 sided, and whether 1 sided and 2 sided documents are mixed. You can scan documents easily such as taking pictures with using the fully automatic mode of a digital camera. This chapter describes the following items for this service. [File Name] Screen Selecting [File Name] on the [ScanAuto] screen displays the [File Name] screen. You can set a file name on the screen. To display [File Name], the system administrator setting is required. For more information, refer to "Display File Name Button" (P.44). You can enter a file name of scanned data and select a file name from the registered patterns. File Name Display Area User Name Button Date Button File Name Buttons Important When Thai is set as the language in your machine, the file names cannot be set. A file name can be set within 128 single-byte characters. You can set a file name in which items are combined by selecting multiple buttons such as file name button and user name button. In case, "_" is automatically entered between items. " " (single-byte) cannot be displayed correctly. File Name Display Area Displays the file name you set. A file name can be set by entering directly with the keyboard which is displayed by selecting the file name display area or by using the file name button or the user name button. Auto Assign File Name Assigns a file name to "YYYY_MMDD_HHMM" automatically. "YYYY_MMDD_HHMM" represents year-month-day-hour-minute of the time when a scan job starts. 40

41 ScanAuto Delete Text Deletes all the texts displayed in the file name display area. Backspace Deletes the last character displayed in the file name display area. File Name Buttons Inputs the button names to the file name by selecting each button. User Name Button Displays the current user name when the Authenticated User logs in. Selecting this button sets the user name as a file name. When the Authentication feature is disabled, this button is not displayed. Date Button Displays the date. Selecting this button inputs the date to the file name. If the date is set as a file name and the text string of the date is changed in the file name display area, the changed date is not always recognized as a date. Date Fotmat... Displays the [Date Format] screen. For more information, refer to "[Date Format] Screen" (P.41). [Date Format] Screen Allows you to change the format of the date displayed on the date button on the [File Name] screen. Separator Select from [(None)], [ _ ], [-], and [.] for the separator to input with YYYY, MMDD, DDMM, and HHMMSS. Date Display Format Allows you to select the date display format from eight options. The setting you configured for [Separator] is applied to options displayed here. System Administrator Settings The System Administrator can set the default recipient address, how to send a file, and storage period of the document. Delete Sent File History Selecting [Yes] deletes all the histories on the Address Book. Selecting [No] returns to the System Administrator setting screen. 43

Selecting [Auto Switch by File Size] automatically switches whether to attach the file with an or to select [Temporarily Store in Device] according to the file size. Selecting [Temporarily Store in Device] temporarily stores the scanned data to the machine and sends an in which the URL to retrieve and delete the scanned data is written to the address. When you select [Auto Switch by File Size], you can set the maximum attachment size. Important Under the environment using the firewall, when the scanned data is sent with the setting of [Temporarily Store in Device], the scanned data cannot be checked and retrieved from the specified URL in the computer connected to the external network. In case, when the setting is changed to [Auto Switch by File Size], the scanned data can be attached to the . Depending on the network connecting methods, the security of the scanned data may not be protected. The maximum attachment size is 200 MB. Set [Maximum Attachment Size] to 200 MB. Registering the frequently-used file name is useful for scanning. Select the file name button to change its text string and enter a text string with the displayed keyboard. Selecting [Save] changes the text string. When Thai is set as the language in your machine, the file names cannot be set. As a default, 12 text strings are registered. You can change the text strings with keyboard displayed by selecting each text string button. Up to 14 single-byte characters can be registered. When more than 14 characters are input, the characters which exceed the maximum are deleted. " " (single-byte) cannot be displayed correctly. Default Scan Settings Allows you to set a default value for [Scan Settings] on the [ScanAuto] screen. Select from [Auto], [Auto (Mixed Size Originals)], [High Quality], and [Small Size]. Auto Upright Orientation When you select [On], the settings for [Original Orientation] and [2 Sided Scanning] are ignored and the document is always scanned as upright images. When you select [Off], the document is scanned according to the settings for [Original Orientation] and [2 Sided Scanning]. Important Some documents cannot be scanned as upright images. When [On] is set, the settings for [Original Orientation] and [2 Sided Scanning] are ignored. For more information on this feature, see "s and Restrictions" (P.47). Original Orientation Select from [Upright] and [Sideways]. The following describes troubles that may occur with your machine when the Authentication feature is enabled and their solutions. Message Unable to obtain your address. This feature requires a successful retrieval of the user's address upon login. You do not have access to the selected feature. Unable to start. Your Scan Limit has been reached. Contact your System Administrator. Cause and Remedy This message is displayed when [Authenticated User Address] is set to [Default Recipient Address] in the System Administrator setting and when the Authenticated User s address cannot be obtained. For the System Administrator, set an address in [ Address] under [Accounting] > [Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. This message is displayed when the user who is not allowed to use the Scan service starts this feature. For the System Administrator, cancel the [Scan Service] restriction in [Service Access] under [Accounting] > [Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. This message is displayed when the user s scan limit has been reached. For the System Administrator, take one of the following measures: Reset the scan limit in [Reset Total Impressions] under [Accounting] > [Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. This feature is not guaranteed when the devices such as DocuLyzer (sold separately) or CoinKit (sold separately) are connected. The external application "ScanAuto" takes a longer time before you can operate the application after it starts than the standard menu and screen. In this feature, a blank page is automatically deleted. This setting cannot be changed. If a page which is not a blank page is recognized as a blank page and then deleted, using the standard Scan service is recommended. [Auto Upright Orientation] automatically detects the language of the document based on the language set in your machine. Set the appropriate language. Since the features such as [Auto Upright Orientation], [Skip Blank Pages], [Skew Correction], and [Compression Method] automatically detect the document, the scan outcome varies depending on the document. When Thai is set as the language in your machine, the file names cannot be set. 47

This feature is available when IC Card Reader (sold separately) and IC Card Reader (optional) are connected to your machine. When [Login Type] is set to [Login to Remote Accounts], and another option than [Authentication Agent] is selected for [Authentication System], the service restriction is not applied for the feature included in this application. If the passcode is needed, select [Next] after entering the user s ID and enter the passcode. Shadow Suppression When the document such as a thin paper printed on both sides is scanned, this feature prevents from printing the reverse side of the document. When you use the folder to which a job flow of linked, the file names set in this screen are not applied. A file name can be set within 64 single-byte characters. You can set a file name in which items are combined by selecting multiple buttons such as file name button and user name button. In case, "_" is automatically entered between the items. A file name can be set by entering directly with the keypad which is displayed by selecting the file name display area or by using the file name button or the user name button. Auto Assign File Name Assigns a file name to "YYYY_MMDD_HHMM" automatically. "YYYY_MMDD_HHMM" represents year-month-day-hour-minute of the time when a scan job starts. Delete Text Deletes all texts displayed in the file name display area. Backspace Deletes the last character displayed in the file name display area. File Name Buttons Inputs the button name as a file name. User Name Button Displays the current user name when the Authenticated User logs in. Selecting this button sets the user name as a file name. When the Authentication feature is disabled, this button is not displayed. Date Button Displays the date. Selecting this button inputs the date to the file name. When the date is set as a file name, if the text string of the date is changed in the file name display area, the changed date is not always recognized as a date. Date Fotmat... Displays the [Date Format] screen. For more information, refer to "[Date Format] Screen" (P.54). [Date Format] Screen Allows you to change the format of the date displayed on the date button. Separator Select from [(None)], [ _ ], [-], and [.] for the separator to input with YYYY, MMDD, DDMM, and HHMMSS. Date Display Format Allows you to select the date display format. This feature is useful for scanning the left and right pages of the document separately. This feature is not available for the document feeder. Other than standard-sized documents and the document whose size cannot be detected may not be devided into two correctly. When [2 Sided (Head to Head)] or [2 Sided (Head to Toe)] is set to [2 Sided Scanning] on the [Easy Store to Folder] and [All Features] screens, in case Book Scanning is set, [1 Sided] is automatically selected. Off Does not use the Book Copying feature. Left Page then Right Firstly scans the left page of facing pages which start from the left page. Selecting this button automatically changes from [Sideways] to [Upright] for [Original Orientation] on the [All Features] screen. Right Page then Left Firstly scans the right page of facing pages which start from the right page. Selecting this button automatically changes from [Sideways] to [Upright] for [Original Orientation] on the [All Features] screen. Top Page then Bottom Firstly scans the top page of facing pages which start from the top page. Selecting this button automatically changes from [Upright] to [Sideways] for [Original Orientation] on the [All Features] screen. Both Pages Scans the both pages according to the order you set. Left Page Only Scans the left page only. This button can be selected when [Left Page then Right] or [Right Page then Left] is selected. Right Page Only Scans the right page only. This button can be selected when [Left Page then Right] or [Right Page then Left] is selected. Top Page Only Scans the top page only. For the System Administrator, take one of the following measures: Reset the print limit in [Reset Total Impressions] under [Accounting] > [Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. Increase the maximum number of allowed pages for the Print service in [Service Access] under [Accounting] > [Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. This message is displayed when the user who is not allowed to use the Print service starts this service. For the System Administrator, cancel the [Print Service] restriction in [Service Access] under [Accounting] > Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. Probable causes are as follows: 1. The user who is not allowed to use the Print service starts the service. 2. The current user is not registered as the Authenticated User. For the System Administrator, for 1), cancel the [Print Service] restriction in [Service Access] under [Accounting] > [Create / View User Accounts] on the [Tools] screen. for 2), create the user s account in [Create / View User Accounts] under [Accounting] on the [Tools] screen. This message is displayed when users starts this feature while reading or pausing a job. Select [Close] to return to the "Custom Menu" screen and press the <Job Status> button on the control panel to check a job. When reading a job, try printing again later. When pausing a job, start printing of the pausing job at first or try printing again after deleting the pausing job. This message is displayed when the Authentication feature is not set. Set [Login to Local Accounts] or [Login to Remote Accounts] for [Login Type]. When you do not use the Authentication feature, delete the [Private Charge Print (All)] service button. This message is displayed when this feature cannot be used for some reason. Switch off the machine power, make sure that the touch screen is blank, and then switch on the machine power. If the same message is displayed again, contact our Customer Support Center. 64

65 Private Charge Print (Print All) s and Restrictions This section describes the notes and restrictions to observe when "Private Charge Print (Print All)" is enabled. When a finisher cannot be used for some reason and the feature requiring a finisher is set, the setting is automatically canceled and a print job starts. For instance, when Staple is set in case the staple cartridge needs to be replaced, Staple is canceled and a print job starts. Up to 100 jobs can be printed at once. The 101st and following jobs are not printed. This feature is available when IC Card Reader (sold separately) and IC Card Reader (optional) are connected to your machine. This feature is not guaranteed when the devices such as DocuLyzer (sold separately) or CoinKit (sold separately) are connected. This feature is available when [Login Type] is set to [Login to Local Accounts] or [Login to Remote Accounts]. When [Login Type] is set to [No Login Required] and, IC Card Reader (sold separately) and IC Card Reader (optional) are connected, using the existing Private Charge Print service is recommended. When this feature is not executed normally for some reason and an error screen is displayed, if a user do not execute any operation, the screen after Auto Clear is displayed and the user will be deauthorized. In case, unless the screen after Auto Clear is set to [Services Home] and [Locked] is set to [Device Access] for Access Control, an errored job is executed when the next user is logged in. When [Login Type] is set to [Login to Remote Accounts], and another option than [Authentication Agent] for [Authentication System], the service restriction is not applied for the feature included in this application. Therefore, even when the Print service is restricted, [Private Charge Print (All)] is available. 65

66 Private Charge Print (Simple Check) Private Charge Print (Simple Check) "Private Charge Print (Simple Check)" enables you to check a Private Charge Print job with the screen display which is easily viewable. You can change the print setting configured by the computer and can reprint printed documents or transferring / transferred documents. This chapter describes the following items for this service. This feature can be used only when the Authentication feature is enabled. To change the print setting when printing and to reprint the printed documents, the system administrator setting is required. For more information, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.70). If the passcode is needed, select [Next] after entering the user s ID and enter the passcode. 67 Private Charge Print (Simple Check) 5 Select the job to be printed. Multiple jobs can be selected at once. To deselect a job, select the job again. You can set whether or not to make all the stored jobs selected when displaying the [Private Charge Print (Simple)] screen. For more information, refer to "Default Setting for Job Selection" (P.71). Finish Image Icon Button Selecting this button displays the System Administrator setting screen. For information on the System Administrator setting screen, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.70). This button is displayed when the Authenticated User who has the System Administrator's privilege logs in. Button Selecting [Job Display Order] from this button displays the [Job Display Order] screen. Select from [Date & Time : Newest First] and [Date & Time : Oldest First], and then select [Save]. Select All Selects all the documents on the list. Delete Deletes the selected document. Refresh Displays the latest job. Finish Image Icon Displays finish image icons for each job. Selecting this icon allows you to check and change the print setting configured by the computer. For information on how to change the print setting, refer to "Changing Print Settings" (P.68). Important When a print job is commanded from PostScript print driver, if [Pages per Sheet] is set, the paper orientation and arrangement of images are sometimes not applied to the finish image icon. In this case, regardless of the icon, the job is printed according to the configured setting. When a print job is commanded from Multi-model Print Driver 2, the setting of [Hole Punch] is not applied to the finish image icon. In this case, regardless of the icon, the job is printed with punched according to the configured setting. Depending on the print setting, the following icons may be displayed on the left edge of the finish image icon. Icon (the document which is restricted to be printed) When this finish image icon is displayed, your machine cannot print the document with the current print setting. Selecting this finish image icon displays the detailed information of the print setting. Icon (the document which cannot be printed) When this finish image icon is displayed, your machine cannot print the document. Selecting this finish image icon displays the detailed information on the screen to change the print setting. 67

68 Private Charge Print (Simple Check) To change the print setting, the System Administrator setting is required. For more information, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.70). After changing the print setting is available, the time until starting to print a job will be longer. Job List On the job list screen, the name, amount of page, print quantity, and date when the job is stored of the job are displayed. Up to 100 jobs can be displayed on this screen. 6 Press the <Start> button on the control panel. Important When this feature is used, the machine does not accept another job. On the [Job Status] screen and for Job History Report, the jobs in this feature are processed in the same way as the standard private charge print jobs. When multiple jobs are selected and both the jobs which can be printed and cannot be printed are included in the jobs for the reason of color print restriction, only the job which can be printed will be printed. Canceling Print Job This section describes how to cancel a print job. 1 Press the <Stop> button on the control panel. 2 Select [Delete]. When multiple jobs are selected and started to print on the list, if the jobs are canceled, the canceled jobs are sometimes not displayed on the list. Selecting [Refresh] after a while displays the jobs. Changing Print Settings This section describes how to change print settings configured by the computer. Depending on the System Administrator setting, print settings cannot be changed. For information on the settings, refer to "System Administrator Settings" (P.70). When the ptint setting is changed, if other jobs are selected on the list of the stored jobs, the jobs will be deselected. 1 Select the finish image icon of the document which you want to change its print settings. Finish Image Icon 68

When the user who is not allowed to use the color print feature selects a color print job, the message "Change the Output Color." is displayed and the job cannot be printed. When [Output Color] is changed to the available setting, the job can be printed. Print Quantity Enter a number of the print in the range from 1 to Specify the number by any of the following methods: Use the numeric keypad displayed after selecting the numeber entry box or the numeric keypad on the control panel. If you have entered an incorrect value, press [C] or the <(C) Clear> button on the control panel. After entering the value and selecting [OK], the numeric keypad goes off. Use[+] and [-] buttons. Output Color When you select colored document, select [Color (Auto Detect)] or [Black & White]. When your machine is the Black & White model or Black & White document is selected, this setting cannot be configured. 2 Sided Printing Select from [1 Sided], [Flip on Short Edge], and [Flip on Long Edge]. For a one-page document, this feature is not available. Pages per Side When Pages per Sheet is set by the computer, the setting is displayed. This item cannot be changed. Staple When Staple is set by the computer, [On] or [Binding Shift] is displayed. This item cannot be changed. Hole Punch When Hole Punch is set by the computer, [On] is displayed. This item cannot be changed. 3 Press the <Start> button on the control panel. Important The machine does not accept another job while using this feature. On the [Job Status] screen and for Job History Report, the jobs in this feature are processed in the same way as the standard Private Charge Print jobs. Reprinting Printed Documents This section describes how to reprint printed documents or transfering / transferred documents on the [Print from History] screen. Depending on the system administrator setting, the [Print from History] screen is not displayed. For information on the setting, refer to "Use Print from History" (P.71). 69

On the [Job Status] screen and for Job History Report, the jobs in this feature are processed in the same way as the standard Private Charge Print jobs. When multiple documents are selected and both the document which can be printed and cannot be printed are included in the documents the reason of color print restriction, only the document which can be printed is printed. System Administrator Settings The System Administrator can set the default setting for selecting documents and display order of documents. For the Authenticated users who has the System Administrator's privilege, selecting the [ ] button on the document list screen also displays the System Administrator setting screen. 1 Press the <Log In/Out> button on the control panel. 2 Enter the System Administrator s user ID with the numeric keypad or the keyboard displayed on the screen, and select [Enter]. If the passcode is needed, select [Next] after entering the System Administrator s user ID and enter the passcode. 70
