CMS provides several feature-rich platforms for card design, production and reporting. From low-end badge printing up to the mass production of secure cards, CMS is able to provide flexible and easy-to-use solutions to personalize and administer ID cards. It features user-friendly interfaces already in nine languages including Arabic and Simplified Chinese. The software suite consists of four different editions which offer a powerful range of features for different applications: employee and visitor cards, access control, membership and loyalty cards, driving licenses, photo IDs, and any other use that requires identification. The CMS Standard and CMS Standard Plus editions are designed for single-user applications, whereas the web-enabled CMS Advanced and CMS Corporate editions allow card issuance and data access to be securely distributed over a network. For customers, who need to design and develop their own solutions, we offer a powerful Software Developer s Kit (SDK). For largescale ID card and passport applications, our software team is able to develop a custom workflow management software using the powerful EDIsecure Project Development Tool (PDT). With its stateof-the art and web-based system platform, users may perform various functions to manage, administer, personalize and encode cards, depending on the rights assigned to them. The system provides configurable interfaces that can be used to connect to multiple data sources or to integrate black list checks and biometric verification. The user-friendly interfaces are available in nine languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Arabic, and Simplified Chinese. Additional language versions can be made available at short notice. 5 Printer Selection Guide FOR EVERY LEVEL OF SECURITY THE RIGHT PRINTING TECHNOLOGY To meet every customers personalization requirements and budget limitations, we offer a wide selection of card printers. Our direct card printers are fast and durable, low-cost solutions for companies, clubs, organizations and agencies. Our Professional Line printers are designed for more demanding ID applications such as smart card personalization, ranging from card printing and inline encoding to high-speed ID production with inline overlamination. Our EDIsecure XID Retransfer print technology provides over-the-edge full-color printing with outstanding image quality and enables printing on longer-lasting non-pvc cards for even more durability. The EDIsecure printer portfolio consists of eight top-of-the-line printers which are available either as part of the Value Line for easy access to ID card production, or as part of the Professional Line for more demanding applications which require a higher security level. In addition, we offer different lamination modules to increase visual card security and protect the surface from physical damage. The Value Line consists of the EDIsecure DCP 100 Entry-Level- Desktop Direct-Card Printer (single- or double-sided printing with manual card feeding), the single side, edge-to-edge EDIsecure DCP 240+ Direct Card Printer and the double-sided, edge-to-edge EDIsecure DCP 340+ Direct Card Printer. 6 PROVEN TECHNOLOGY AND PRINTERS DIRECT-CARD-PRINTING TECHNOLOGY Direct-Card-Printing is most commonly used for mid- and entry level security. Images are directly printed onto the surface of a plastic card. This process of dye sublimation printing uses a dye-based ribbon which is partitioned. The print head contains hundreds of thermal elements which heat the dyes on the ribbon, which then vaporize and permeate the surface of a card. The encoding option depends on the customers needs and the available budget. With our EDIsecure Direct Card and XID Retransfer Printers, cards are printed and encoded with magnetic stripe and/or multiple encoding technologies: Contactless Encoding Technologies (Mifare, DESFire, HID iclass, Legic, etc.) Contact Chip Technologies (memory and processor chip) Magnetic Stripe Technology (HiCo and LoCo) Print Direction Direct-Card-Printing Card Bodies Our Advanced Chip Encoding Framework (CEF) is a powerful EDIsecure XID 5xxie printer tool-kit which encodes independently of your ID application. It allows the integration of multiple encoding technologies using just one easy-to-use plug-in tool. It is now possible to encode smart chips from nearly any software application which permits variable field data in a layout. RETRANSFER-PRINTING TECHNOLOGY XID Retransfer-Printing produces superior print quality. It is ideal for the personalization of long-lasting smart cards, and for applications which require offset-like printing quality. XID Retransfer technology does not print information directly on a card. The information is printed using dye sublimation on a Retransfer film which is then laminated on the card surface. Thus, the card body is better protected and its durability is improved substantially. With the XID Retransfer-Printing technology even non-pvc cards such as ABS, PET and Polycarbonate can be personalized.
