(11250) Fixes an out-of-memory condition when working with smart cards. (11253) Search performance is improved. The search results displays the enrollments found, and the status bar displays Showing x of y entries. (11274) With supported 2D bar codes (PDF 417, PDF 417 Binary, QR Code, and Data Matrix) TruCredential software now controls the aspect ratio of the bar code. (Aspect ratio is the relationship of the height and width). For CR805 and similar retransfer printers, printing of 2D bar codes is improved. (11284) Fixes a situation where large log files were generated at enrollment. (11289) Fixes a situation where the printer remains in the Busy state after encoding a smart card chip, when the primary key in the database is an auto-sequence number, the Modify on update setting is selected, and the Print Count is saved to the database table. (11303) TruCredential software supports printing batches of cards to multiple card printers. For the quickest processing, do the following: a. Open the trucredential. properties file. The default location is C:\Program Files\Datacard\TruCredential\properties. b. Locate the # executor configuration section, and change the trucredential.executor.core.poolsize and trucredential.executor.max.poolsize values to a number larger than 1, preferably a number that is equal to or greater than the number of batch printers you plan to use. (10246) 6 TruCredential Version 7.3 Software: Version 7.3 Resolved Issues

7 An orientation issue when using custom credential dimensions is resolved. (10022) The small preview displayed when using custom credential dimensions is resolved. (10019) On Enrollment, the Loading box was not removed when a list element with a data-driven design was used. (10011) The Enrollment does not exist message was displayed after the card was printed, and the operator attempted to print or save 2 minutes after the first print. (10010) The signature file was compressed (horizontally) when a signature file in wmf format is loaded and converted to svg format. (10007) Slashes were removed from file path data during the import of CSV data. (10001) The message Do you want to save changes to the enrollment? was displayed every time after printing a card or saving an enrollment. (9958) A print job with the sent to printer status, that did not print, blocked all the other jobs in the printer queue. (9949) After selecting New Enrollment, the signature captured for the previous job was and not cleared from the enrollment page. (9946) During Enrollment, after capturing a photograph and signature to be saved to a file path, the save was not completed because the software attempted to save the photograph and signature files to the database. (9941) For signature files in WMF format imported from ID Works software, the signatures displayed after TruCredential software was upgrade from version 7.2 to 7.2.3, but did not print. (9884) Cropping features for captured images were not delivering the expected result. (9842) Spaces used to pad data to a fixed length were removed from encoded magstripe data. (9801) A Mifare DESfire card (Clipper card) issued an unexpected exception when reading data from the card during personalization. (9546) When using an external LDAP server for user authentication, the cn attribute that worked in TruCredential version 7.1 were not working in version 7.2. The attribute now works. (9530) A Static Graphic element in Credential Designer only accepted 24-bit bitmap (BMP) images. Other color depths are now supported, similar to static graphics in Workflow Designer. (9429) Batch printing from TruCredential software to a CD800 printer was much slower than printing from ID Works software to a CP80 printer. (9326) In a credential design, a field name with a period (.) character in the middle of the field name caused a graphic artifact to display in the design area. When the same credential design is linked to a workflow, selecting the linked workflow in Enrollment did not display the enrollment and caused messages to display in the browser. (9324) TruCredential Version 7.3 Software: Version 7.3 Resolved Issues 7

8 Literals in text masks were not printed. For example, a mask to print a phone number as (555) displayed as expected in the preview, but printed as (9323) If personalizing multiple sectors of a Mifare Classic smart card causes errors, the timeout values can be changed to allow the time needed. Refer to the Manage Your Settings: Chip Profiles Help topic for more information. (8940) The desktop shortcut and Start menu links used localhost. The server name entered during client software installation is now used. (8925) For customers who use the InPhoto ID application with a TWAIN interface, Capture Manager was closing suddenly. (8924) The credential preview did not display the enrollment that was searched for and selected, when using a workflow with a data-driven list field. (8891) When you search for and find an enrollment with a blank value for a data-driven list field, the enrollment did not display. (8890) When you search for and find an enrollment with a data-driven list field that is not connected to a database table, the enrollment did not display. (8889) A message was displayed when importing a combined workflow and credential design file, if Import Templates was selected, but the file did not include templates when exported. (8887) Manual activation of the TruCredential license key did not complete. The Product key has not been activated check box is added to the Settings > Settings > License page to address manual activation. (8876) Migrating an ID Works project to TruCredential software did not complete when using some languages. Migrations now complete. 9 The User menu includes a Change Password selection so users can change their password while they are signed in to TruCredential software. When the user enters a new password, it is rated to verify that it complies with password strength requirements. If authentication is delegated to an external source, such as an Active Directory server, this selection is not available. (9740) The card can be rotated by 180 degrees when printed. (9891) The message displayed when a user attempts to print a credential but no printers are registered has changed to: At least one printer needs to be registered to begin printing. New printers can be added in Settings. (9742) Version Resolved Issues Printing or saving a credential halted if the SQL Server database did not have a primary key defined or if values exist for the data item. (8894, 10110, 10115) Existing images in WMF format maintain the original aspect ratio when migrating from ID Works or ID Centre software to TruCredential software. (10007) When using a data-driven workflow, an enrollment with an existing data record now loads. (10002) The prompt, Do you want to save changes to the enrollment? was displayed after saving the enrollment or printing the credential. The prompt is no longer displayed. (9958) Print jobs with SentToPrinter status that did not change can now be deleted and do not block other print jobs from processing. (9949) After processing a credential that includes a signature, clicking New Enrollment now clears the signature area. (8081) Saving a new data record, with both a photograph and signature saved to the file system, is now fully functional. (9941) Signatures in WMF format imported from ID Works or ID Centre software can now be printed. They were preventing a credential from arriving at the print queue. (9884) Photographs can be captured with or without cropping from any supported device. In TruCredential software, Version 7.2.1, photographs from a TWAIN device always displayed a crop box, or the crop box size was different than specified. (9842) Magnetic stripe data with spaces to create a fixed-length string can be encoded on a SP+ or CP+ printer. (9801) Credential designs with a data-driven list can now load when the data-driven list is not connected to a data source. (8889) The Enrollment window clears all data, including the signature, when you click New Enrollment. (9946) TruCredential Version Software: Version Resolved Issues 9

12 A new setting automatically deletes completed print jobs from the print queue after completion; the most recently completed print job is still displayed. (6311) The Directory Service (LDAP) configuration allows signing in as a user outside the search base. When configuring a Directory Service interface, user configuration is now independent from the search base. Previously the user had to be in the root of the search base. Note that the user account must now be specified as a fully qualified domain name. Refer to the specifications chapter in the TruCredential Installation and Administration Guide, Part No , for details. (7639) The workflow Search step was removed. Any projects migrated from ID Works software or TruCredential Version 7.1 software to TruCredential Version 7.2 software will no longer have the Search step. Configured search fields are displayed in the search capability. (6112) The batch workflow type was removed, and card designs are no longer linked to either single or batch workflow types. Instead, card designs can be set to function as either or both types in TruCredential Version 7.2. If you upgrade from an earlier version of TruCredential software, you cannot see your old batch workflow. You must either modify your batch workflows to single workflows before upgrading to Version 7.2 software and then set them to be produced in batch or create a similar batch workflow in Version 7.2 software that meets your needs. (6112) Licensing is streamlined. There is no longer a need to activate your TruCredential license. In the simplified process, enter the license provided with your purchase documentation and the software completes the licensing process. (6887) Support for rewritable card stock. (5277) Several files and the database schema are updated to accommodate the additional functionality in version 7.2, however no existing data is altered during the process of upgrading from an older version of TruCredential software. When upgrading from version 7.1 to 7.2, workflows containing the Photograph field or the Document Scan field are upgraded by being given default properties to accommodate new functionality. Version 7.2 Resolved Issues Improved image dithering results in improved print quality. The following applies when migrating projects from ID Works or IDCentre to TruCredential software where the path set in ID Works or IDCentre software is not present and the programs are installed on different computers. If the photograph and signature field properties in ID Works or IDCentre software have the Storage option on the Storage tab set as File select path, then you must manually copy the photograph and signature images to the TruCredential software computer. (4120, 4561) Affected versions 7.2.3, 7.2.1, 7.2, 7.1 Fix: As designed. For the Microsoft Access database, column names with spaces in them are not valid. (5651) Affected versions 7.2.3, 7.2.1, 7.2, 7.1 Fix: None. Affected versions 7.1 Fix: As designed. In Internet Explorer browser versions prior to , on 32-bit operating systems only, the Zoom menu in the TruCredential credential designer does not function properly. Does TruCredential software Version support databases hosted in cloud storage? ( ) No, this has not been tested by Entrust Datacard. Can multiple printers be connected to one computer using a USB cable? ( ) No. TruCredential software Version supports only one USB-connected printer per computer at this time. Does TruCredential software Version support manual duplex printing, in which cards are flipped over by hand? ( ) This is a feature of some printers. If a particular printer supports manual duplex printing, then Datacard TruCredential Software v7.3.2 supports it. Image Sizes Does TruCredential software Version support deleting an existing database record? ( ) No, this is not supported at this time. You must modify the database directly. How do I increase the maximum size of captured images? If the "Unable to capture photo message is displayed on the Capture page, check the trucredentialstdout.<timestamp>.log file located in the \logs folder in the installed location. The default installed location is C:\Program Files\Datacard\TruCredential. If the The maximum message size quota for incoming messages ( ) has been exceeded entry is included, your setup captures images that are larger than allowed. Change the allowed value following these steps: a. Use a text editor to open the Datacard.DCCM.CaptureManager.exe.config file located at: C:\Program Files\Datacard\TruCredential\CaptureManager\bin. b. Change the value in the following line: <add key="maxmessagesize" value=" " /> 18 Frequently Asked Questions: What is Supported?

19 The value=" " entry represents 1MB. c. Save the changed config file. d. Restart the TruCredential services and refresh the TruCredential page in the browser to use the new setting. Smart Card-Related Questions For an existing workflow design that uses a smart card workflow, how do I change to a different smart card workflow? Disconnect all field connections and then select the other smart card workflow in the Personalize step. For the DESfire chip type, what is the size of the keys that must be entered in TruCredential software Version 7.2? ( ) All DESfire keys of type DES must be 8 bytes long. Enter 16 ASCII hex characters in TruCredential software. For the PICC Master Key for v7.0 and v7.1, only a DES key is supported, so enter 16 ASCII hex characters to form the 8-byte key. In a 1-wire network-connected printer configuration, what smart card coupler types can I use? ( ) The Duali coupler is the only one supported. It is identified by the S7 code in the label on the printer s swing arm (which you open to load ribbon). All other reader types (codes S1-S12) require a two-wire USB connection. Why, when registering a Datacard SD 360 card printer, are no readers found by TruCredential software when I click Test Connection? The key reader that I want to use is listed in the Windows Control Panel Devices and Printers list. ( ) Make sure the TruCredential software service signs in using the default Local System account setting, not as an Administrator or member of the Administrators group. If you change the sign-in, restart the TruCredential software service and you can see the key readers. How do I configure a multiple workstation environment in which one client computer has a USBconnected printer? Make sure that the printer driver for the printer is installed on the client computer and that the log in account is left at the default Local System. Configure the Windows firewall on the client computer to allow inbound traffic on whatever port you used for the Domain profile, assuming both computers were authenticated to the corporate network. It might also be necessary to restart the Datacard TruCredential Service if you change the paper size. Frequently Asked Questions: Smart Card-Related Questions 19

20 Messages How can I recover from, Initialize Error: The specified network password is not correct.? ( ) Restart the Datacard Capture Manager service. Click on your system tray and show hidden icons (at the bottom right of your Windows screen) and verify that the Datacard Capture Manager service is displayed. (1) Click the Datacard Capture Manager service icon to display the status dialog box. If a message is displayed in this dialog box, record it in case you need to contact Support. (2) Click the Close button to stop the service. (3) Click Start > Datacard > Capture Manager > CaptureManager and then right-click Service and select Run as administrator. (4) Repeat steps (1) and (2) to make sure that the Datacard Capture Manager service is now running properly. I got the message, The capture device configured is not available. when trying to take a photograph. What can be the cause of this? ( ) Make sure that your camera is turned on and plugged in to your computer. If you still get this message, click on your system tray and show hidden icons (at the bottom right of your Windows screen) and verify that the Datacard Capture Manager service is displayed. If not, contact your TruCredential administrator for assistance. During an external database write operation, I got the following message: The system did not complete the task due to an unexpected error. Contact your TruCredential software administrator for assistance. What can be the cause? ( ) Check the logs under C:\Installation Path\Datacard\TruCredential\logs. Often this is a database error caused by a not null column that was not updated by the system during an insert. Note that the external database Write operation determines whether to insert or update the database. So, this may work on database inserts but not on updates. When clicking on field connections, what can cause the error, The system did not complete the task due to an unexpected error. Contact your TruCredential administrator for assistance.? ( ) The following can cause this error: If your primary data source is a Microsoft Access database, there might be a space in the Identity Column name that is your primary key column. Spaces are not supported; delete the space to clear the error. If the workflow is set to Use primary data source but none of the Data Source Configuration values are set to Primary, you get this error. To clear the error, use the Settings > Settings > Data Sources page to set the Data Source Configuration to Primary. If this was after a migration from ID Works or IDCentre software, make sure that you have copied the database, images, and signatures over to the new TruCredential software location. 20 Frequently Asked Questions: Messages

21 Printing-Related Questions Why is the print count that displays in the workflow different from that shown in the preview? The two print count values are different until you click Personalize. The current print count that shows in the workflow is what the database print count value is equal to at the current time. It is updated to the number shown in the preview after you click Personalize. I registered an SP or CP printer and printed a credential to it, but the Print Job status displays Waiting indefinitely. How can I print this credential? ( ) Select the Windows Start > Devices and Printers selection. Right-click the printer icon for your printer and select Printer properties. Click Print Test Page, and then click OK. Close the Devices and Printers page. A test page and your card now print, and so do any future cards that you send to the printer without waiting. Why does my SR300 printer, connected using a USB cable, eject two cards instead of printing on the back side of the first card? ( ) The SR300 prints single-sided by default. To print on both sides of the same card, on your computer select the Windows Start > Devices and Printers selection. Right-click the SR300 printer and select Printer Preferences. On the Print tab, select Print on both sides and save the setting. I was not able to print to both sides of the credential: the front design printed on one card and the back on a second card. What can cause this? This can happen if the Windows TruCredential Service is configured as a member of the local Administrators group.configure the Local System account. It can also happen if certain printers are connected by USB cable rather than by a network connection. It can also happen if Windows printing preferences are not set for your card. To correctly set the printer preferences: a. Click Start > Devices and Printers to open the Windows Devices and Printers window. b. Right-click the printer name and select Printing preferences. c. On the Layout or Finishing tab, make sure that Print on Both Sides is enabled. d. Click the Advanced button and set the options Apply the Laminator material 1 and Apply the Laminator material 2 to Do not apply. e. Apply the changes. General Questions I have made field connections in the Import File Configuration field connector. Why is the Save button not available? To save field connections, connect all of the table column primary keys. Frequently Asked Questions: Printing-Related Questions 21

22 How does the Check Box field threshold work? ( ) The Check Box field can be connected to the following database column types: BIGINT, BIT, BOOLEAN, CHAR, INTEGER, NUMERIC, SMALLINT, TINYINT. If the Check Box field is connected to a numeric data type column (BIGINT, INTEGER, NUMERIC, SMALLINT, TINYINT) and not to a read-only field, then the system saves the value according to the threshold value manipulation based on whether the Check Box field is selected or cleared. If the Check Box field is read-only, then TruCredential software does not send any data for that column. If the database also provides no data, there is a null value in the database for that column. While loading enrollment records, the Check Box field behaves as follows: If the connected database column has a null value, then the Check Box field state is set according to the field s property The display state for NULL values. If the connected database column has a numeric value (provided by the database), and if it is greater than the threshold value, then the Check Box state is selected. If it is less than the threshold value, the Check Box is cleared. How do I connect to an external LDAP for authentication? ( ) There are two ways to connect to an external LDAP server to authenticate users in TruCredential software. Both ways involve editing the External LDAP configuration section of the file using information about your external LDAP server: C:\Installation path\datacard\trucredential\properties\trucredential.properties. If you want to sign in using a common name or display name, such as FirstName LastName, edit the following lines as shown: external.ldap.base.provider.url=ldap://ip address:port number external.ldap.base.dn=distinguished name external.ldap.user.dn=organizational unit external.ldap.user.dn.login.attr=cn Open Source Software Open source software that is included with or is part of this software product is listed in ENTRUST DATACARD TRUCREDENTIAL PRODUCT VERSION pdf 22 Open Source Software
