4 1.0 Installing the Software 1.1 Installation After you have down loaded or inserted the MEFIpro Scan software disc to your computer you will need to install the driver for your MEFIpro Scan communications cable. Pre-written Mefi 4b calibration files MEFIpro Scan software disc. Previous versions of MEFIpro Scan software. Double click on the software disc icon then double click on the file named CDM20824_Setup MPS DRIVER XP OS or CMD21228_Setup MPS DRIVER WINDOWS 7-10 and follow the on screen instructions. To run MEFIpro Scan double click on the file named MEFIPRO 1_ Registration Free version of Tuner Pro software. MEFIpro Scan software. MEFIpro Scan communications cable drivers install files. Licensing window. When you run MEFIpro Scan for the first time a window named CBM MPS licensing will appear, the first box in that window will contain your computers id, click the button below it named Copy to clipboard. Next compose an , paste (CTRL-V) the id into the contents of the and send it to: chris@mefipro.com Once we receive your id we will send you a license key via . When you receive the license key enter it into the second box of the window named CBM MPS licensing, then click the button named Submit. MEFIpro Scan is now ready to use. If you encounter any problems on installing or running MEFIpro Scan please see the trouble shooting section of this manual.

5 2.0 Menu tab, the Logging tab, the Fault Codes tab, the About icon, the Start Communications icon, the Dashboard icon and the Dashboard Detail icon. Some tabs once selected will show options for that tab. Dashboard tab Calibration tab Logging tab Fault Codes tab Start Communications Icon Dashboard Detail Icon About Icon Dashboard Icon 2.1 Start Communications the Start Communications icon from the menu. Serial Connection window When you click on the Start Communications icon and the connection was successful this window will appear.? Serial Connection Failed window When you click on the Start Communications icon and the connection fails this window will appear. Check the interface cable connection at the try again.

6 3.0 Dashboard Options There are three options within the Dashboard tab, Dashboard, Dashboard Detail and Reselect Mefi Type. The Dashboard options are accessed by clicking on the Dashboard tab. Dashboard Detail window When you click on the Dashboard Detail icon this window will appear. NOTE: You may reselect your type of Mefi computer by clicking on the Reselect Mefi Type tab.

7 4.0 Calibration 4.1 Calibration Options There are four options within the Calibration tab, Save Calibration, Write Calibration, Erase Calibration and Convert Motorola to Binary. The Calibration options are accessed by clicking on the Calibration tab. Calibration tab Save Calibration Write Calibration Erase Calibration Convert Motorola to Binary 4.2 Save Calibration Option Select part number window When you click on the Save Calibration tab from the menu this window will appear, select the appropriate computer located on the back When you select the Save Calibration to File tab this window will appear, enter the calibration password of your computer and click on the Select Location of Calibration File tab. Input File Destination window When you click on the Select Location of Calibration File tab this window will appear. that name in lowercase followed by.ptp now click on the Select tab. Select tab Write calibration window When you click on the Select tab of Input File Destination window the Write calibration window reappears, now click on the Write Calibration to MEFI tab. 12 4.0 Calibration Options cont. 4.4 Erase Calibration Option Erase Calibration window When you select the Erase Calibration tab this window will appear, click the Continue tab to erase ALL the data on the engine calibration. WARNING: This will erase all data on the exsisting engine calibration (ECM) and is permanent. Continue tab 4.5 Convert Motorola to Binary Option Convert Motorola to Binary window When you click on the Convert Motorola to Binary tab from the menu this window will appear, click the Select Input File tab. Select Input File tab Input File Destination window When you click the Select Input File tab this window will appear, choose your input file, this file should be in the Motorola S format. Convert Motorola to Binary window When you click the Select tab the Convert Motorola to Binary window reappears, now click on the Select Output File tab. Save File Destination window Select Output File tab When you click the Select Output File tab this window will appear, choose your output file and click on the Select tab. 14 5.0 Logging Logging is the reading of data from a variable set of outputs. 5.1 Logging Options There are two options within the Logging tab, Change Time Scaling and Change Unit Scaling. The Logging options are accessed by clicking on the Logging tab. Logging tab. Change time scaling Change unit scaling Change time scaling window 5.2 Change Time Scaling When you click on the Change Time Scaling tab this window will appear, enter the appropriate numerical value and click Set Scaling. 5.3 Change Unit Scaling Change unit scaling window When you click on the Change Unit Scaling tab this window will appear, select the appropriate item and click Apply.

15 6.0 Fault Codes A fault code is a programmed indicator in the Engine Control Module that is triggered by a failed diagnostic test of a device or system. There are two types of fault codes that are used; Current Fault Codes and Historical Fault Codes. 6.1 Fault Codes Options There are two options within the Fault Codes tab, Fault Codes and Calibration Checks. The Fault Codes options are accessed by clicking on the Fault Codes tab. 16 7.0 Trouble Shooting Problem. Solution. Trouble launching and or running MEFIpro Scan. Copy the file named MSVCR100.dll from the MEFIpro Scan software disc to your computers desktop and leave it there. Restart MEFIpro Scan. Problem. Solution. MEFIpro Scan communications cable not recognized. Make sure you have installed the appropriate driver for your operating system. The file named CDM20824_Setup MPS DRIVER XP OS is for Windows XP.
