Installing Autograph on a Microsoft Windows Computer

1 Installing Autograph on a Microsoft Windows Computer Autograph can be installed and used on any full Windows system. It will not work on all mobile devices, where sometimes, only a cut down version of Windows is installed. This guide is designed for desktop installations, however the process will be pretty much identical on Windows based Tablets etc. Installation and Activation is simple and the following will guide you through the desktop installation. Installation 1) First Ensure you are logged into an account with Administrator Privileges 2) If you haven t already done so, please download the installation executable from It is strongly recommended that you save this to your computer, rather than running it directly from your browser 3) If you have saved it to your device then Browse to your downloads location using Computer and launch the executable 4) You will now be greeted with the following confirmation prompt 5) Click Run to continue the installation 6) Unless you ran as administrator, Windows Security will now prompt you to allow the installation to occur. Please Check that the Verified Publisher is Eastmond Publishing Ltd and click Yes

2 7) You will now be asked if you wish to install a desktop shortcut, the default answer is yes, but the choice is up to you. Click Next to continue the installation

3 8) The Ready to Install dialog will now be displayed. Click Install to continue the installation 9) You will now be shown a progress indicator, showing the installation in process

4 10) When installation is complete you will be shown the Installation Success Dialog which will ask you if you wish to immediately run Autograph. You can leave this ticked to continue to the Activation Process or untick it to do this at a later time.

5 Activation Unless you are reinstalling an existing copy of Autograph 4, Autograph will begin in 30-day Trial mode and you will need to activate it with the details provided with your purchase. Please note that an active internet connection is required for the activation process 1) Launch Autograph if it is not already running. You will find it either on your desktop (if you used the default settings), or under All Programs->Autograph 4 2) You will now be greeted with the Splash screen showing that Autograph is running as a 30- day Trial

6 3) The Activation Dialog will be displayed

7 Fill in your details carefully, it is advised that you copy and paste the serial number from your receipt if possible. Once done click activate to complete the process 4) When activation is completed, The dialog will change to indicate that activation was successful

8 Click Run to launch Autograph. 5) You will be greeted with the mode selection dialog, by default Autograph will run in Advanced Mode (designed for post 16 mathematics) however if you are preparing or teaching mathematics the Standard mode is probably more suitable. Click OK and you are good to go. Happy Autographing! The Autograph Onscreen Keyboard Autograph comes with an onscreen keyboard that can not only be used with Autograph, but with any other Windows Application as well, for instance Microsoft Office Applications like Word or Outlook. If you allowed Autograph to install Desktop Shortcuts then this is available as an icon on your desktop However if this was not installed, it is still available as a separate application from the Autograph Program Menu. When run, the keyboard looks like this.

9 Click Text to bring up a full Keyboard: Click Data to add a Number Pad: And Extra to show additional mathematical symbols: You can have all of them up at once if you like:
