Plug AC Power Supply into Surge Protector/Power Strip. Plug Serial Connector into Serial Port marked Scanner 5. INTERNET CONNECTION (Refer to mymedia BurnBar Connection Guide) Standard Ethernet Cable: Simply plug the cable into the back of the Computer. If your router does not automatically assign IP addresses you must manually assign one. Integra does not provide networking support so we encourage you to use a network technician to help you install the internet, networking and printer sharing. NOTE: All computers in system connect to a common network router or switch supplied by others that is connected to the Internet. No direct cable is used between the BurnBar Server and the Shopper Kiosk computers Wireless: mymedia BurnBar system will not operate reliably with a wireless network. Integra Interactive will not support tech issues if you use a wireless network. C. NETWORK SETUP Steps to take to verify that your BurnBar Server Computer and Shopper Kiosk Computer(s) are able to communicate with each other: Your BurnBar Server computer is the computer that does the actual burning. Your Shopper Kiosk Computer is the computer that your customers use. These computers will need to communicate to each other over your network in order to use the new software upgrade and take advantage of the shopping cart and other features. You will need to make sure both computers are networked and have access to the internet. The default configuration sent to you when you purchased the computers is adequate to make this connection but your local network may not be configured as required. The following information is provided to help you should the network settings need to be modified. Integra does not provide technical support for your network. You may need a network administrator to ensure that your network is configured properly. For most stores nothing will need to be done to be certain the computers will be able to adequately communicate. It is advisable that you check the following as soon as possible so that you can make corrections, if needed. 1. Verify that the Burner Server and Shopper Kiosk Computer computers are on the same workgroup. On each machine, exit any software that is running and right-click on the my computer icon on your desktop (or start menu) and click properties. In Windows XP, click on the Computer Name tab and you will find the workgroup name about a couple of inches or so down from the top. In Windows 2000, click on the Network Identification tab and you will find the workgroup name about a couple of inches or so down from the top. 8

Windows 2000 Windows XP While you are checking this, note the computer name also listed on this window for use in the following test. NOTE: DO NOT ALTER OR CHANGE THE PRE-SET COMPUTER NAME. THE SYSTEM WILL CEASE TO OPERATE CORRECTLY IF IT IS CHANGED. 2. Verify that each machine can ping the other by its name. For stores with multiple Shopper Kiosk Computers: On each Shopper Kiosk Computer, test for communication to each other Shopper Kiosk Computer and your BurnBar Server Computer. From the start menu, click Run and then OK. A black command prompt window will appear. For each computer for which your perform this test, type Ping followed by a space and the name of one of each of your Shopper Kiosk Computers and then your BurnBar Server. After pressing <Enter> you should get four replies as in the example on the left below. If you are not getting 4 replies as in the example above, you may also want to try a couple of other simple steps from the same prompt. Type ipconfig /flushdns and then Enter. You should see the response at above right. Then, if you can t ping your BurnBar, type services.msc and press Enter. That will bring up a new services window. Find and double-click DHCP Client and use the dropdown menu for startup type and choose automatic and start the service. Click the start button, wait a moment for the service to start and click OK. Repeat these steps for the services named DNS Client, Computer Browser and Workstation if they are not already started and set to automatic. (see screenshot illustration below) 9

If you are unable to complete successful ping tests and verify that all of these computers are on the same workgroup, contact your system administrator or other advisor to resolve. Taking steps to resolve any basic networking issues before it becomes absolutely necessary will prevent potential delays in the use of the new software and help to make for more efficient resolutions to usage problems should you need to contact Integra technical support. 10

D. POWER UP SEQUENCE Turn Power Strip/UPS On Turn Monitor on. Turn on the Computer. The button is on the front panel. Except for troubleshooting or maintenance, the BurnBar Server Computer should be left on at all times. If you experience any problems it is recommended you shutdown and restart the computer before attempting any troubleshooting. Do not click on MMBB Icon on desktop. Program will start automatically. NOTE - If for any reason the Computer has to be powered off, or the power is interrupted, the Computer will automatically recover once power has been restored. However, you should ALWAYS exit from the BurnBar Server software to the Windows Desktop to then properly shut down the computer. If you just turn off the computer it can corrupt the SQL database requiring technical support. Power supply master switch on the back near the top of machine must also be in the On position to operate. Switch must be depressed (in) on the side marked. E. CONNECTING TICKET PRINTER The Ticket Printer connects to your Shopper Kiosk (formerly AudioSELECT system). Follow the instructions inside the carton. A ticket printer can be shared between multiple Shopper Kiosk computers. You must setup windows printer sharing, and connect to the shared printer from each Shopper Kiosk. Use the Force Printer setting in the Shopper Kiosk customer settings screen to use a printer that is shared on a different Shopper Kiosk computer. Shopper Kiosk must also be connected to the Internet. Insure that this has been done before attempting to test the burn procedure. The Shopper Kiosk must be able to ping the BurnBar Server computer. F. BurnBar Server SOFTWARE SETUP NOTE: THE BURNBAR SERVER COMES PRE-LOADED WITH ALL NECESSARY SOFTWARE. DO NOT INSTALL ANY SOFTWARE OR RUN ANY DRIVER CD s UNLESS DIRECTED TO DO SO BY Integra Interactive Personnel. 1. STORE INFORMATION (This is normally set during testing before system is shipped.) Hold the Shift key and press F10 to enter the Customer settings. The system will ask for the Admin password. The default admin password is 15A4D. Enter in the correct fields your store name, address, and telephone number. This will print on the CD. This information may already be entered for you. If so please verify the information is correct. 11

2. SETUP PASSWORDS You can use the Admin account for all employees or you can create a different account/password for each employee. For audit purposes, the Integra Server keeps a log of each authorized burn that indicates the date, time, and user. Click on the Users tab in the customer settings to add a user. Enter the user s information and passcode.(for the passcode you must only use numbers 1-5 and letters A-E). Click the Add New button to add the user The list box on the left shows the current users. Double-click a user to delete them from the system. You may change the admin password by clicking on the admin tab. G. BurnBar Server OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE 1. SHOPPER PROCEDURE The Shopper Kiosk computer provides a ticket that you use on the BurnBar Server computer to burn the product. The Shopper Kiosk screens clearly identify each title that is available to burn. Once the shopper confirms the order a ticket will print from the ticket printer. If the Shopper Kiosk does not offer a Buy Now option, the track is not available to burn. The shopper is instructed to take the ticket to the checkout counter. There are two bar codes on the ticket. The top barcode is a generic barcode that identifies the type of digital content. Your POS system can be setup to accept this barcode number. Enter the list at the price you choose into your POS system item setup. You can set your own digital prices in the Shopper Kiosk User Setup area. Software does not require the shopper to use the screen to sample the title nor to be able to burn it. We supplied you with empty software boxes for each title that can be burned. Place these boxes on your shelves. These boxes are labeled instructing the shopper to take the box to the checkout counter to have it burned. The boxes cannot be scanned on the Shopper Kiosk scanner to provide additional information or display details. We strongly recommend that you write on the box label the price you want to sell the software package for. You do not have to use the MSDRP. Since songs can be selected ala carte to make a custom CD, there are millions of possible pricing combinations so it is not possible to enter a UPC and have it already show a price. This is why you must manually enter the price from the receipt ticket each time a shopper purchases a digital product other than software. 2. EMPLOYEE PROCEDURE Your employee should scan the top barcode on the ticket on your POS system. They will then need to enter the total sale price listed on the order ticket. Whether or not you have a POS system, your employee must collect from the shopper the price shown on the ticket. Once the shopper has paid for the product, your employee scans the bottom barcode with the scanner on the BurnBar Server which identifies the order to the burning system. The BurnBar Server screen will request a password to be entered (default 15A4D unless you have changed it). On this screen you may choose whether the customer needs the lyrics included as a PDF on the disc (applicable only to Accompaniment Tracks). We recommend against doing this in most cases as it keeps the disc from being played in some players. Upon entering the password, within a couple of seconds the software will walk the clerk through the process. 12

Once the printing is finished, take the CD and place it in the Burn Drive of the BurnBar Server Computer (The computer will prompt you as needed for each step). If you have more than one Burn Drive, look on the screen to see what Burn Drive to place the CD in. The designated drive should be open. Once the computer has started burning the disc, the system will ask you to make sure the CD insert template is loaded in the printer and the CD printer tray is in the up position. Once the CD has successfully burned, the Burn Drive will open. Place the CD in the case and give to the shopper. H. DEFECTIVE MEDIA When a shopper returns a defective disc the first step you should always take is to attempt to play it in a store CD player. If it plays in your CD player it may be that the customer s CD player is old. CDs that are playable in your player are not returnable to Integra UNLESS the customer says it will not play in their car CD player. You should be vigilant in watching for a customer that brings back several CDs that are playable. The customer may be acting dishonest and may have burned a copy of the mymedia BurnBar disc at home. If the disc is indeed defective simply burn another one for the shopper. This prevents purchasers from being dishonest. If the replacement still is defective, offer a refund to the customer, and return both defective discs to Integra for Credit. Write on the surface of the disc a brief description of what is wrong. Do not write over the UPC number on the disc. Printed on each disc is the statement All sales are final. We cannot give credit for burns that are not defective. We cannot give credit for burns you do that are not picked up by your customers. If you receive a burn error while creating a disc the screen prompts will indicate that you may throw the disc away. You will not be charged for it and the software has already alerted us to the error. No more than once a month, return defective discs to Integra and you will receive full credit to your account. Integra does not pay for the return shipping of defective discs. All returns are to be clearly marked on the outside of the package: DEFECTIVE BURNS. Your store name and address must be enclosed in the package. Send any defective discs to Integra at least once a quarter but no more often than once a month. Address the package to: Defective Burns Integra Interactive 5582 Mt.View Rd. Antioch, TN ADDITIONAL INFORMATION STOP/START MMBB Software: If you need to shut down the BurnBar Server computer, hold down the Shift key and press F12. If this does not immediately work, click directly on the mymedia BurnBar logo and try again. This will take you to the Windows Desktop from which you can shutdown the Computer. NEVER JUST TURN-OFF YOUR COMPUTER USING THE COMPUTER ON/OFF BUTTON. IF THE SOFTWARE LOCKS-UP YOU CAN ALWAYS EXIT FROM mymedia BurnBar BY USING YOUR KEYBOARD KEYS: ControlAlt-Delete. THIS WILL OPEN A MENU WINDOW THAT WILL LET YOU SAFELY CLOSE THE SOFTWARE. THEN YOU CAN SHUTDOWN WINDOWS IN THE NORMAL MANNER. 13

1. Viewing Burns To view completed burns point your web browser to and click on Retailers Enter Here. You will then see the login components near the top right of the screen. Please login with your Integra account ID and password changeme. Once logged in you will be able to change your password, view completed burns for a given date range, and more. 2. Technical Support A support site has been setup for the most common question. Please point your web browser to for help. You can also access the Tech Support area from your Login described in 1 above. Configuring Printer For BurnBar Server When the mymedia BurnBar system is received, the drivers and printer software should already be installed and the printer properties should be optimized for use with mymedia BurnBar. If for any reason the drivers need to be reinstalled, the properties will need to be adjusted as follows. Should you need assistance, please call Integra Tech Support HP Photosmart D5100, 5300, 5400 series Open the start menu and go to settings -> printers. This window should be in the detail view; if not, click the view menu and click detail. The status column will indicate whether the listed printers are online or offline. If a printer is moved to a USB port to which it was not attached when originally set up, the computer can add the printer again and will indicate this with Copy of If this happens a few settings changes may be all that is necessary to get the printer working with mymedia BurnBar. Verify the Default printer (indicated by checkmark on printer icon) is the HP Photosmart D5100, 5300 or 5400 series and that it is the only instance of each series listed. To change a printer to the Default printer, right-click on it and click set as Default printer. (If you are using the D5460 printer, the D5360 driver should be used and set as Default the D5460 can appear but should not be set as Default ) If no printer is listed as online, you can set this by right-clicking the printer and clicking Use printer Online. Right-click on the HP Photosmart and click properties. The following window will appear. 14

The printer needs to initially be set for printing to CD. mymedia BurnBar will change settings for printing lyrics at the appropriate time. Click on the Device Settings tab and set options as shown below. Click Apply, go back to the general tab and click Printing Preferences. Click the Printing Shortcuts tab and Select General Everyday Printing, and click apply. 15

Click the Advanced tab. Change Minimize Margins to ON. If Ink Volume is set to automatic, click the word automatic and change it to the word change. A change button will appear to the right. 16
