1 LAST UPDATED: 09/19/2018 Parameter Checker Program - CHC Introduction This procedure tells you how to download and run the Parameter Checker program. Note that the examples in this procedure show the Windows 7 operating system. The items below list different types of software and their paths on the Haas Portal: 1. Important: If this is the first time installing the parameter checker program move the P - Shortcut [3] to your desktop. Open the P- shortcut properties and make sure the fields below are set correctly: Target: C:\PP\P.BAT Start in: C:\PP Use this shortcut to open the Parameter Checker. Page 4 of 16 pages

Press [5] to selectversion history, alarms, etc. 2 Click the Search in box and search by software type and software version. In this example, Mill and Lathe and 1804A will be used. 13 1 Put a USB memory device into the USB port on the control pendant. Push [LIST PROG]. 2 Select the USB DEVICE tab. Push [WRITE/ENTER]. Push [F4] to open the SAVE AND LOAD menu. Use the cursor arrows to select Save All - Back Up. Type the machine serial number. Push [WRITE/ENTER]. This saves a copy of the machine data files to the USB memory device. Note: This saves each file with the same serial number from the step before. Example: XXX. 3 Disconnect the USB memory device from the control. Connect the USB memory device to your computer. If you did not download the Parameter Checker, refer to SOFTWARE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD FROM HAAS PORTAL. Page 13 of 16 pages
14 Parameter Checker Program - CHC 4 Open the. exe file for the Parameter Checker that you downloaded from the Haas Portal. This installs the Parameter checker program and puts a shortcut on you desktop. Open the shortcut Parameter Checker.exe file to start the program. 5 The screen shows Software Shipping Instructions for Production for lathes or mills. Push any key to continue. 6 The screen shows the Haas Automation Software Information Menu. Push [7] to select Parameter and setting analyzer. 7 Push [ENTER] to clear the information screen. Select Compare to Haas factory-set values to compare the machine parameters to factory-set values. 13 Note: The item Compare To DEBUG Initialized Valves (For R&D Use) is for Haas engineers use only. 14 Select the Standard parameter/setting list to view a list of the parameters and settings. Once the desired report is selected, push [ENTER]. 15 Use the up and down arrows and page up and page down keys to scroll through the report. Push [W] to open the report as a WordPad document for easier review and printing. Page 16 of 16 pages
